| The Demon Height: 6'7" Weight: 275 lbs. Hometown: Mountain Side, NJ Birthday: October 24, 1971 AKA: Dale Torberg Growing up in baseball, Dale Torborg never dreamed that he would some day become a professional wrestler. Not only did he join the elite ranks of sports entertainment, but has risen to the top of the heap, tied into a bitter feud with the dark angel, Vampiro. Career History While on a plane to Florida, met Hulk Hogan, who suggested that he take a try at professional wrestling... The two got off the plane, at which point Hogan introduced Dale to Randy Savage. The two put the wrestling bug in Torborg's head... Dale began training in Tampa under the guidance of former WCW and WWF star The Warlord... He wrestled on the Florida and Georgia independent scenes, as well as in the AWF, where he used the gimmick M.V.P... Came to the Power Plant in May 1997 and began honing his skills with Sarge and Jody Hamilton... While training, was sent to the NASCAR events to work the pit crew for the WCW sponsored car... Along with Chad Fortune, Dale became The Pit Crew, an undercard tag team... They worked a few matches together, but mostly continued to appear at the racing events... In 1999, jumped at the opportunity to become The Demon, a character based on the legendary rock group KISS... Dale donned the makeup and had finally found his calling... Worked his way through the ranks, exiting coffins and spitting blood along the way... In mid 2000, Torborg crossed paths with Vampiro... At the same time, Dale put The Demon to rest, saying he was putting that part of his life behind him... Vampiro added flames to the fire by kidnapping his fiancee, Asya... Now Torborg struggles with the dark angel, Vampiro, as well as whether or not to release The Demon. Wrestling Style Although he knows the technical maneuvers of the game, Torborg chooses the brawling style above all others... He is a straightforward wrestler who is hard to keep down... When in the Demon costume, the blood spitting theatrics and such add to the advantage he holds over his hapless victims... Now, as Vampiro drags their feud to the most personal of levels, Torborg is even more dangerous when he steps between the ropes. Did You Know? Played baseball in the Mets and Yankees organizations... His father played with the Dodgers and the Angels, and managed the White Sox and the Mets... Helped coach Madonna and Geena Davis for their part in "A League Of Their Own" and Tom Selleck in "Mr. Baseball"... Was a film major at Northwestern University, rubbing elbows with Kurt Russell and Ron Howard... Has been a KISS fan since the age of 5... Takes 30 minutes to put on the Demon makeup... As a child, remembers Mil Mascaras and Andre the Giant as his favorites... Favorite actor is Steve Buscemi... Names Gene Simmons, Don Mattingly and his father as his personal heroes |
