In only two short years, Shawn Stasiak has risen to the top of the ranks in professional wrestling. ... The son of former World Champion Stan "The Man" Stasiak, Shawn spent only a short time honing his skills on the independent scene before coming to WCW. ... Debuting as a member of the New Blood, he immediately found himself embroiled in a feud with Curt Hennig, and when the two finally met head on, Stasiak shocked the world by earning the win. ... Perhaps seeing a lot of himself in Stasiak, Hennig was soon assisting "The Perfect One" in his matches. ... Formed a team with fellow New Blood member Chuck Palumbo (The Perfect Event), and the duo defeated Kronic (with help from a rule change) to win the WCW World Tag Team Championship... Lost the tag title to Kronic at Bash At The Beach on July 9, 2000.
