While wrestling for experience, he was spotted by a scout for Japanese wrestling... Fought for eight years in Japan's FMW promotion as the Gladiator... Held the Extreme Championship Wrestling world title prior to his arrival in WCW... Surprised viewers when he appeared on Bischoff and Russo's first WCW Monday Nitro on April 10...
