Lance Storm
Height: 6'
Weight: 232 lbs
Hometown: Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Pro Debut: 1990
From "Calgary...Alberta...Canada" comes one of the hottest new talents on the wrestling scene. A perfectly sculpted mass of technical ability, Lance Storm follows fellow country men Bret Hart and Chris Benoit into the pantheon of legends from the Great White North. Like Hart and Benoit, Storm's path to WCW stardom went straight through the famed Dungeon of Stu Hart. Storm intends to unleash the fury he learned in that dank basement upon the entire roster of WCW wrestlers.
Career History
Storm first came to prominence on American shores via the late, lamented Smokey Mountain Wrestling.... Teaming with partner Chris Jericho as "The Thrillseekers," a short lived but exciting tag team... Competed in several international territories, including Austria's CWA and Japan's WAR promotion... Dominated the Far East, winning tag team gold on three occasions... Soon, the time came for Lance Storm to come back stateside, this time Philadelphia and ECW... Teaming with Justin Credible as "The Impact Players," Storm found himself thrust into wrestling's high profile spotlight... After his tag team dissolved, Storm seized the opportunity to jump to World Championship Wrestling... Won the U.S. Title Tournament on July 18, and changed the name to the Canadian Heavyweight Championship.
Wrestling Style
Lance Storm works with a ring style that is pure Alberta... Combining brains and technical acumen, Storm wins bouts in a way that is rare in this age of tables and run-ins: he out-wrestles you... Storm is able to incorporate Japanese suplexes and aerial manuevers with the stretches learned from Stu Hart to create a complete package... When you add his Benoit-like intensity to the mix, Lance Storm is virtually unbeatable.
