| Johnny The Bull With less than a year on the scene, Johnny has held the WCW Tag Team Title on two separate occasions, and is on his way to becoming a true breakout star in the sport. Under the guidance of the legendary Terry Funk, The Bull's horns will be sharper than ever as he ascends the WCW ladder of success. Career History Trained in the infamous Power Plant under the tutelage of Paul Orndorff, Sgt. Dwane Bruce and Diamond Dallas Page... Spent several months in the Plant before bursting onto the WCW scene in late 1999... As part of the Mamalukes, won the tag team titles along with Big Vito... Split up with Vito in mid 2000, and was taken under the wing of former world champion Terry Funk... Funk's goal is to beat the meaning of hardcore into Johnny through "tough love"... The Bull has his sights set on the hardcore division and his former partner, Big V, but injured himself during a match on Nitro on July 3 while wrestling his hardcore mentor, Terry Funk. Wrestling Style Although a powerful competitor, Johnny also possesses incredible agility in the squared circle... Says he learned his turbo spin legdrop "just messing around." The move is a dangerous 180 spin, mid air from the top rope, ending with a legdrop onto an awaiting opponent... Now competing in the hardcore ranks, The Bull is not afraid to use a chair, table or trashcan to get the job done. Did You Know? Johnny's weightlifting feats include a 405-pound squat lift for 17 reps, a 485-pound bench press for three reps, and a 185-pound curl for 10 reps... Along with partner Big Vito, lost the WCW tag team titles to The Harris Boys in February 2000 on a tour of Germany... Regained the titles one night later on the same tour... Spent $1,200 on two earrings, two bracelets, a watch and a necklace... Necklace made to fit his 19" neck... Has had six broken noses... Declares New York City's China Club, Studio 54 in Las Vegas and Carma in Atlanta as some of his personal favorite establishments... Wants the clubs he frequents to be clean and trendy. |
