Private Registry Association

       Welcome,

Private Registry Association was created as another option to the ADBA, AADR, and UKC registries.

Private Registry Association is also 100% committed to fight the good fight, which means, we will use at a minumum 50% of what we clear to personally seek the help of lobbyist to help change the laws that limit the owners and breeders rights to own this great breed.

We will honor all pedigree's  from ADBA, AADR, and UKC registries, We will not honor CKC, MKC, or any other registries that in our OPINION are questionable at best, but, we will offer single registration for those who have dogs registered a registry that is not reconized by PRA.

All of our pedigree packages will come hand signed and authorized by the President or his/her appointed representitive, we take our job and service personally and your pedigree should be signed personally and not automatically by a computer or a rubber ink stamp.

Of course we do not condone any illegal sport's such as dog fighting but because of the history of the breed, we here at Private Registry Association have decided to honor all past [] Champions and Grand Champions that have been awarded prior to the Animal Welfare Act of 1976. On your PRA pedigree your Champions and Grand Champions that have proved themselves in the pit BEFORE the Animal Welfare Act of 1976 will be listed as [CH] and [GRCH]. Any dog that was born after the Animal Welfare Act 1976 can be given the exact titles but through special unsanctioned private hog hunt, conformation or weight pull shows which are presided over by a competent and respectable judge, and must be verified by said judge as to points awarded. Another option is submitting a dvd video of Hog Hunt or Conformation or Weight Pull show and submitted to our office. If the latter is chosen, it MUST be a dvd as it will be viewed on a tv dvd player and not a computer, computers can be hacked and information stolen but not TV dvd players and dvd's will be destroyed after verification. The judge in either case must announce the winner.

Since these are unsanctioned private hog hunts, conformation or weight pull shows the point system will be different than that of sanctioned shows by other registries.

For sanctioned shows a dog must be awarded a total of 100 points to become a Champion and 200 points to become Grand Champion but in the unsanctioned events the dog must be awarded a total of 3,000 points to become Champion and 5,000 points to become Grand Champion.

Here's an example - If dog "A" is entered in a private show against dog "B" and dog "B" wins over dog "A" then dog "B" is awarded 1,000 points, if dog "B" goes on to wins 3 private shows then he can become certified by PRA as a  [CH] and if he wins 5 private shows he can become a [GRCH].

Once your dog has shown and won a total of 5 private shows he is declared a Grand Champion even if he was shown in 6 total shows and lost in 1 show he will still be considered a Grand Champion. Once you become a Grand Champion you will not lose your title, even if your 5 wins come through 6 or more shows.

Sanctioned conformation and weight pull shows will be arranged and scheduled in the near future but because we are a young and small private registry and without the members and staff to handle shows on a large scale we will only be having private unsanctioned shows for the time being. Once sanctioned shows are scheduled and performed the normal point system will be in place and we will award Champion and Grand Champion titles as  CH and GRCH.

P.O.R. and R.O.M. will be awarded and listed as the following [POR] & [ROM]  for the unsanctioned shows and POR & ROM for sanctioned shows.

Dog of the Year will also be awarded with a special certificate and a beautiful trophy. DOY awarded to dog that has accumlated the most points in said year, such as, 2007 DOY will have more points accumlated in 2007 than any other dog, when a tie has occurred we will judge by competition against and if a tie still occurrs then it will be voted on by all breeders and owners who have their dogs registered through the PRA.  DOY will be awarded to both sanctioned and unsanctioned categories. In other words, Yes! we will have 2 Dogs of the year. I believe it is only fair as some may not want to take part in sanctioned shows and vise versa.

Thank You for stopping by and please keep checking back as we are in the process of building our  our website.

Best Regards

Private Registry Association
