Dear Prayer Warriors of the Prayer and Fasting Action team,
I received the following email from Chaplain777. That is the screen name of Bill Dorman. Although this may not have been one
of our specific prayer requests, I wanted you to see an example of how important your prayers are and the results that prayers accomplish. Please read this with the awesome praise that we should be giving our Lord
and recognize the continued need for prayer
God Bless
Merry

As many of you know, members of The His Ministry, spent everyday of the last two weeks in a Circuit Court, with a young lady we believe to
be innocent of the charge of murdering her grandmother. Four members of our ministry team had been allowed to visit this young lady and other inmates in the jail she was being held in for over a year. Our team was not ministering in this or any other jail to determine if she was guilty or innocent.
In most cases we do not discuss with our congregation, (the inmates) what they are charged with or why they have been incarcerated. Our Calling from Almighty God is to be concerned with their Spiritual Salvation through Christ Jesus, God's Only Begotten Son. Our calling, in This His Ministry, is to cause everyone on both sides of the jail bars, to know that God Loves them and that He Desires to forgive them for whatever they have done.
Unfortunately, most of us have radios and televisions and do listen to and hear the distorted news reports spoken over the airways. I
remember the first news report I heard, concerning this young lady. Over the radio as I drove down the highway one day over a year ago, I knew that this report was in one of the counties we serve in. I wondered how this would affect our ministry? I being human, I kind of
believed the distorted news media report. This woman had been charged of murder, by killing her grandmother with a hatchet. Would God be
able to reach her through this ministry? Would her heart be too hardened? Was there any hope? As I drove down the highway that day,
I began praying for God to have His Perfect Will in this matter.
This lady was not housed in the county where she was charged. It was several months later when she was brought to and housed in her own
county jail. I remember our first meeting. I wondered within myself, as I looked at her for the first time, "how could this young lady have done this?" After meeting with her each week for several months, our ministry team discussed how she seemed to be growing deeper and deeper
in her relationship with God, through His Word, Jesus Christ. Each week we took her completed Bible study answers back to be graded. Her
grades were high. There was always a joy in this woman's heart as she told us of the things God was doing in her life. She spoke good things about those that were over her. She never complained as to how she was being treated while in jail. The officers always smiled as they talked to her or about her.
She first started telling us that God was going to bring out the Truth during her trial, and that she was not going to prison. I must confess, I tried to prepare her for the worst, that she not be
crushed in the event, she was found guilty and sentenced to prison. She looked me sternly in the eyes and told me, "Look, I am not guilty and
God is going to bring out the Truth, and I am not going to prison." We had never asked her if she was guilty or not, this is not our policy, this is between her, God and the state of Missouri. Yes, we teach in all of the jails, our need to ask God to forgive us of all of our sins.
Members of our ministry team talked often of this young lady and how we could help her. It seems like the same answer would come up time after time, "Pray for her!" The last week we visited her in her own county jail, she informed us that people from a local church had gotten a message to her, that they were going to start praying for her the day the court was to make the jury selection, and were going to pray for her continually until they heard that the jury had reached a decision, of Not Guilty.
This faithful lady's trial started on, Monday, May 19, 1997, and ended at 2:00pm on Thursday, May 29, 1997, lasting one day short of two weeks. Tears of pure joy streamed down our faces as we heard the Circuit Clerk read the decision of that jury, Not Guilty! I thanked Our God for those He selected to Pray for this Court, the Jury, the
Attorneys on both sides, especially this young lady. For The Truth, The Whole Truth and Nothing but the Truth to come out.
My heart is still somewhat grieved, as we were allowed to see people raise their hand and swear to tell, :The Truth, the Whole Truth, and nothing but The Truth, so help me God, not telling the Whole Truth. Some of these people did not lie while on the witness stand, they just told the truths that would make this young lady look guilty to the
jury. They refused to tell the truths that would show her to be innocent. Praise God for sending two gifted female attorneys that did their homework very diligently.
Please pray for this young woman's family. Because of her arrest and of the evidence that had been presented, out of court by one man, the head of the investigation, they thought her to be guilty of killing their Loved family member. The family was very upset and bitter to the jury's decision. Please pray that God will heal their heart and will allow them to see The Whole Truth!
This one man that had decided her guilt, does not even live in the county that this murder was committed in. This man, like so many others of mankind, was doing what he thought was right. How many things have I done in times past that were wrong, because I believed they were right at the time? I can not number them. People do what they believe, whether what they believe to be the truth, is or is not, it really does not matter.
People do what they believe. Since the beginning of time, people have failed and refused to believe The Truth, instead believing and doing as they desired. Eve ate the forbidden fruit because she chose not to believe God, (The Truth), but chose to believe Satan and his lies. I have been called to allow God to minister His Love through me. There are times when I forget and try to be a minister for God instead of allowing Him to be the Minister through me. There are times when I find myself judging other people. (If you are honest, probably you find yourself doing this too) I Thank God for His Love, His Grace and Mercy, otherwise none of us would be here today.
"You shall know The Truth, and The Truth shall make you Free". (John 8:32) Many people that are charged with crimes today are found guilty
by the news media, long before their day in court. This same news media tells us that there is a 0% chance of rain today and it is raining so hard that one can hardly see to drive. I put my trust in the Master Weatherman, (God). Only He Knows if it is going to rain or shine tomorrow. It is God that Searches our heart and knows the
intent of our heart. Put all your Trust in God and not in mankind. Let all mankind be liars that God be Truth. I Praise God for the honest and God fearing men and women, that He allows us to serve in, This His Ministry. I Praise God for the sheriffs, deputies, dispatchers, jailers and juries, that He uses to bring about justice in this land.
Most Holy and Wonderful Father, have Mercy upon this nation, have Mercy upon them that are in positions of leadership, have Mercy upon
us that are suppose to be voting in the leadership of this country. Thank You, O Lord, for Your Love and Grace Always, In The Name of
Jesus. Amen and Amen.
UPDATE: Yesterday on December 25, 1999, my son Billy I was allowed to have CHRISTmas Dinner with this young lady and her two wonderful
Children and another member of our ministry team and her family. We all rejoice Because of God's Faithfulness in this Sisters life.
Before she went to jail, over three and a half years ago, being charged with a murder she did not commit, she had allowed herself and her children to become Co-Dependents in a very controlling situation. Now we are allowed to see that this Sister is allowing God to make
something Special out of her life. She now Trusts God more than ever before knowing that God Has Not Given up on her, and that she will
never give up on God!
I Praise God and ask you to Praise Him with me, that He Is a True, Faithful and Loving God Always. It was a pure joy to be allowed to break bread with April Lamb and her family yesterday. Thank You, O Lord God, Most High!
