Our Polish Friends in Poland
We are searching for people in Poland who are willing to help our list members obtain records in Poland. They are not to be confused with Professional Genealogists. They are being added to this list as we find people that wish to help researchers.
If you have any original documents or research you wish to have done, you are welcome to write them. When you do write them, please ask them what they charge, and what an estimated cost will be.
Some are willing to travel, but will charge you per diem and other expenses. If you wish you can also set a limit on what you wish to spend. Tell them where your family was, their names, their dates of birth and any other pertinent data you may have, and their probable religion. Above all, please be sure to state exactly what you want: birth, baptismal, marriage and/or death record(s). Some are willing to travel to bordering countries if it is feasible for them, and if they know the language of that country.
Before anyone can obtain records for you, they will need a notarized statement from you stating how you are related to the person whose records you wish to obtain. You must also state you are asking this person to obtain these for you because you live (stating where you live), and tell them that you do not speak the language and that travel to that country is prohibitive for you.
We will list the name of the city where these people are located with their names and email addresses. Please correspond with them.

12-23-2006 - It was a few years ago that I added Wojciech to this list. In fact, he was the first person placed on this list. Today I learned he is a cousin to my cousin Grzesiek Borkowski's wife in Poland. It sure is a small world. Tina

He is willing to go to these towns and villages to locate cousins for researchers. He will not travel beyond these points. He works for the "Gazeta Poznanska," by being a free lance journalist.
