Kazimierz Rymut's Surname Book. Click on Slownik nazwisk, in green on the top of the page. When the next page comes up, type your surname into the box. If your surname originally contained a diacritical mark, you can copy and paste the Polish characters that are on the page, or insert a * or ? where the letter with the diacritical mark would be. Press Szukaj. If your surname is found, “Ogolna liczba” is the number of people in Poland with your surname in 1990, and “Rozmieszczenie” shows the number of people with the surname living in each woj. (uses the 49 woj. from 1975-1998). To see a chart converting the two position identifiers to the full name of the provinces, click on "Tutaj znajduja sie objasnienia skrotow," the last bolded blue sentence between the two gold lines.
