Pokemon for Gamegeine codes FAQ
Game: PokéMon for Gameboy
Code type: Gamegenie
Date 10/4/98
Created by Joslin1000@aol.com
This File contains Pokemon codes for getting items from stores
and codes for being able to fight most pokemon you want to fight.
In most cases if you can fight a pokemon of your choice then you
can catch it.
GENERAL WARNING!!!!!!!
Pokemon and Gamegenie don't get along too well. The codes for
gamegenie may not work with you Gameboy. They do seem to work
best if you can use the Pokemon game and Gamegenie in the
new Gameboy Color system or in a SuperGameboy cart.
(If you want to use Gameboy Gamegenie in a Supergameboy cart
you will need to modifiy the Gameboy Gamegenie. The Snes
Gamegenie is not compatible with Supergameboy. Even if
it was it would not be able to change the gameplay of a
Gameboy cart in the Supergameboy.)
What's new
01/27/99
Seperated Gameboy and Gamegenie codes into seperate lists
01/21/99
Added Store codes for Lavender Town
01/19/99
Repaired typo in the fight pokemon codes for gamegeine, that work in
the North of Pallet Town. The last 3 digits of each code were wrong, thus
preventing them from working.
11/05/98
Added fix for the Gamegenie that should let Pokemon work, with Gamegenie
in most gameboys.
FIX:
Take your gameboy Gamegenie and look at it face down. Look at
area that plugs into the gameboy. Cut a small piece of tape so
that you can cover no more then the 2 pins on the LEFT side of
the gameboy gamegenie. Your goal is to cover the pin on the
farthest LEFT with the tape. This seems to work every time on
my pocket gameboy.
You do this at your own risk. If you lose a save or mess up
the game sorry.
This won't work for everybody!!
11/02/98
Added codes for Gamegenie that let you fight any pokemon you want
outside of Pallet town.
10/30/98
Added addtional items to the list
10/23/98

The codes that follow let you fight any Pokémon you want. In so doing
you have the chance to capture it. I recommend that you have some master
balls, which have a 100% capture rate. (If you use a master ball you
won't have to fight at all).
Replace the xx's with a number from the list in this faq for the best
chance of getting the Pokémon you want. You can put 3 different ones
in if you want. Don't expect to get the pokémon you wanted right off
the bat. You will probibly have to fight a few fights before you get
the one you wanted.
These codes replace 3 of the 10 pokemon in the area with the one you
want to fight, because of that it might take many fights before it
will come up. EXPECT IT TO TAKE SOME TIME.
YOU MUST FIGHT IN THE GRASSY AREA WEST OF CERULEAN CITY.
THIS IS THE ONLY AREA THESE CODES WILL WORK.
RED only codes.

xx1-93A-F7E+
xx1-9BA-5DB
Blue only codes.
xx1-91A-7FC+
xx1-93A-F7E+
xx1-9BA-6EB
This set of codes lets you fight any pokemon you want, in the grassy
areas, just north of Pallet Town.

When trying to get Mew make sure that you use a Masterball.
Don't bother to fight it. Just throw the Masterball.
Mew has the transform ablity. So if it gets the chance
to use it, it will end up as a Ditto when you do
catch it.
