[Continued from Gold & Silver Walkthrough 2]
25. Saffron City
Special 1. - Saffron City's Gym - SABRINA?!?!
Well, you'll be visitng Sabrina this time...
Sabrina's Gym The Saffron City Gym still has that teleporter puzzle that you must get through. Keep going to the right or left and you'll eventually get to Sabrina after battling a couple Psychic Trainers along the way.
Sabrina's Psychic Pokémon are not too difficult to beat. If you have a strong Electric Pokémon a couple strong Electric attacks to take out her Pokémon.
Strangely enough, Sabrina has a female Mr. Mime in her lineup. Apparently the English translation to "Mr. Mime" wasn't a good idea because its Japanese name does not have to deal with a gender.
After you beat Sabrina grab her badge and teleport your way out of there.
Sabrina has an Eefi on level 46
Sabrina has a Mr. Mine on level 46(Whatta comeback for the loser.)
Sabrina has an Alakazam on level 48.
Special 2. - All aboard the Monorail
Copycat Girl The next thing you can do is get a ticket for the monorail which will transfer you between the two worlds a lot faster than any other way.
Note: If this is your first time here in Saffron, you will need to come back for the Ticket later after you get your Radio Upgraded.
First though you'll need to go to Vermilion City to the house where you get the bike voucher in the previous versions. Talk to the Clefairy inside, then talk to the guy sitting next to it. He'll give you the Clefairy Doll that you'll give to the Copycat Girl back in Saffron. Give her the doll and she'll give you a Monorail pass that will let you ride on the Monorail anytime you want. The Monorail terminals are in Kogane City next to the Radio Tower, and in Saffron City next to the gyms.
Next you'll have to pass through Cerulean City towards where the Power Plant was.
__________________________________________________________________________________________
26. Missing Machine Part
End of Route 9 Head East out of Cerulean City fighting trainers and wild Pokémon until you reach the end of Route 9 where you can surf to the Power Plant.
Go inside the Power Plant and talk to all of the people in there. There large man by the Generator will tell you he's missing a piece and will reward you if you find it for him.
Now go back to Cerulean City.
__________________________________________________________________________________________
27. Cerulean City Gym - Empty
Special 1. - Why the...Misty?
Misty in love? If you're looking for a fight with Misty you're out of luck. Misty's Gym is empty except for a suspicious Team Rocket member who will talk to you.
Make your way to where Bill's used to be and you'll come in contact with the Team Rocket member on Nugget Bridge. Beat him and he will tell you he hid something in the Cerulean City Gym.Continue on toward where Bill was and you will find Misty romancing with someone. She'll run off back to her Gym after you see her.I'm blue di ba bu di...Oh...I think she likes either Bill or Ash.
Special 2. - Cerulean City Gym - Misty
Inside Misty's Gym Misty is still using Water Pokémon of course. Her Starmie is the only Pokémon that makes a return, but this time it is really beefed up.
Misty's Pokémon can be easily taken out with a few Electric attacks. The only problem though is Nuoo who is Upaa's evolution. These strange creatures are impervious to Electric attacks since they are part Ground, so a Grass attack should do the trick.
After beating Misty she will give you her badge and you should be on your way....
Misty(She looks even dumber without color but she looks a bit better in color)
Misty has a Golduck on level 42
Misty has a Nuoo on level 42
Misty has a Lapras on level 44
Misty has her Starmie on level 47 this time.
Prize: $4700
Special 3. - Missing Part
Face this way and press A Before exiting Misty's Gym you will need to grab that Missing Part the Team Rocket member hid in the Gym for the guy in the Power Plant.
Go visit the guy in the Power Plant and give him the piece and he will give you TM 07.
Next head to Lavender Town by going East from Saffron City or heading South from where you are right now through the Rock Tunnel.
__________________________________________________________________________________________
28. Lavender Town
Special 1. - Pokémon Tower now a Radio Tower
Get your Radio Upgrade It looks like all souls are rested now in the old Pokémon Tower so they converted it to a Radio Tower to stay with the times.
First things first, talk to the man facing the wall with a black hat. He will give you a Radio Upgrade that will allow you to tune your Radio to the all "PokéFlute Music" station. This station is on the highest frequency and is sure to wake any Pokémon.
Note: If he doesn't give you anything, then you haven't been following this Walkthrough. Go up a page and see that you need to get the TM from the guy in the Power Plant.
Special 2. - Name Rater
The Name Rater is still located in Lavender, you can go give him a try if you want but since it is in Japanese and I assume most of you who are reading this Walkthru cannot read a lick of Japanese I suggest you can probably skip this part.
Also the PokéMart has moved to next to the Pokémon Center for some reason... Oh well.
Now the rest of the game you can do pretty much however you want. But for sake of organization I'll continue on to Celadon City.
__________________________________________________________________________________________
29.Celadon City
Special 1. - Celadon City Gym - Erika
Erika's Gym Look neater? Erika is still using her Grass type Pokémon. Watakko looks like a Water type but it's still Grass, my Magmar made sure of that.
Erika is simple enough, Fire will disintegrate all of her Pokémon in a couple hits.
After you beat Erika and earn her badge you can head on to Fuchsia City by way of the Bike Path.
Erika
Erika has a Tangela on level 42
Erika has a Watakko on level 41
Erika has a Victreebel on level 46
Erika has a Kireihana on level 46
Prize: $4700
__________________________________________________________________________________________
30. Fuchsia City
Special 1. - Fuchsia City Gym - Anzu
Since Koga is off being a member in the Elite Four and all, his sister (?), Anzu, has taken over his position as Fuchsia City Gym leader.
She uses Poison and Bug type Pokémon so a Psychic and maybe a Electric type for her Flying Pokémon. Kurobatto is that bat Pokémon that Koga used in his Elite Four battle. Ariadosu is an evolved Pokémon that resembles a grasshopper.
After beating her you will get her Badge and TM 06.
Next time to head back to Vermilion City where an entrance to Diglett's Cave can be found....behind a giant Snorlax that is,and you will definiety find the Snorlax bigger then from the previous games. But her pokèmon are mostly 36 types.
Anzu
Anzu has a Kurobatto on level 36
Anzu has a Weezing on level 36
Anzu has a Weezing on level 36 again
Anzu has a Ariadosu on level 33
Anzu has a Venomoth on level 39
Prize: $3900, TM 06
__________________________________________________________________________________________
31. Diglett's Cave
Diglett's Cave makes a comeback with a huge Snorlax!!
Special 1. - Snorlax - Level 50
This has got to be the biggest Snorlax ever seen, it takes up a whole 4 screen sprites! (Normal Pokémon sprites take up 1). Now that you've got your Radio Upgrade from Lavender Town's Radio Tower go to your PokéGear and go to your Radio slot. Push up to turn your Radio's frequency as high as it can go. Make sure there are words in the middle of the screen, because that will mean you're picking up a station.
Now go up to Snorlax and press A. You better catch this one, he can make a good Team Member with a big better Body Slam if you make it learn it perhaps...
Special 2. - Enter and Exit
Now you can enter Diglett's Cave since Snorlax is not blocking the cave anymore. Head inside, fight some Diglett or Dugtrio, then exit the other side heading for Pewter City and you'll know the Gym Leader right? Brock-o-mondo-dudeo.
__________________________________________________________________________________________
32.Pewter City
Special 1. - Pewter City Gym - Brock
Brock's Gym Brock still uses Rock Pokémon but just to make it a little more interesting he has added a few Rock/Water combinations for you to struggle with. But don't worry, Hydro Pump can still take them out with no problem.
And for the other Pokémon: Water attacks.
After Brock gives you his Badge, head East towards Mt. Moon.
Brock has a Graveler on level 41
Brock has a Rhyhorn on level 41
Brock has an Omastar on level 42
Brock has an Onix on level 44(Just imangine these are wild pokemon from Victory Road.)
Brock has a Kabutops on level 42
Prize: $4200
__________________________________________________________________________________________
33. Mt. Moon
-Special 1. - I think your rival became WEAK DRUNK.
Main. - Rival - Round 6
-Note 1. - If I didn't tell you before, your Rival looks like a girl in pink pantyhose.
Hey, it's your Rival! Alright! This is the second to last battle with your Rival, and now his Pokémon are quite leveled up.
A strong attack should take out Nyuura pretty quickly.
-Advice.
1.Golbat can be defeated with a Psychic or Electric attack.
2.Magneton - Ground, Rock attack.
3.Gengar - Psychic attack.
4.Alakazam - Try using some Electric attacks, any Dark moves you just so happen to have would be the best.
5.3rd Evo Starter - Depends on what type it is. Grass - use Fire, Water - use Electric/Grass, Fire - use Water.
Your Rival has a Nyuura on level 41
Your Rival has a Golbat on level 42
Your Rival has a Magneton on level 41
Your Rival has a Gengar on level 43
Your Rival has an Alakazam on level 43
Your Rival has the (3rd Evo Starter)on level
Prize: $4500
Special 2. - The Changed' Mt. Moon
There's really nothing more to Mt. Moon. It's very short now, compared to what it was like in Red, Blue, and Yellow.Inside you can find the rare Clefairy. Find a male and female and you can breed them at the Breeding Center for a Pre-Evolution Pokémon.Jigglypuff are outside Mt. Moon on either side. Find a male and female and you can breed them too for a Pre-Evolution Pokémon. If you're done with that, head back to Pewter then go all the way South. You don't need to stop by Viridian City, or Pallet Town, just go to Cinnabar Island, or what used to be Cinnabar Island....
__________________________________________________________________________________________
34. Cinnabar Island?.
what happened?!?!
Special 1. - Gary
Once you surf to Cinnabar, talk to the only person there. It turns out to be Gary, and after he tells you something (maybe it's about why there's nothing at Cinnabar Island anymore), he'll fly away. Don't worry, you'll get to see Gary later and Ash....
Special 2. - Cinnabar Island Gym - Not There
Since Cinnabar looks like a Volcano erupted and destroyed everything Blaine has relocated his Gym to somewhere else. Surf into the water below Cinnabar and head East until you reach Seafoam Island!
Special 3. - MissingNo.
Now I've been asked IRL-(IN REAL LIFE) by a kid who aid can you catch MissngNo in the Gold/Silver versons.Unfortunely no,because you'll need to trade from the Time Machine from Red or Blue Versions.Unfortunely MissingNo. now does really screw your game up.
Special 4. - Seafoam Island Gym - Blaine
Not much here to do. Doesn't even fit the whole screen. Blaine still uses Fire Pokémon but only uses 3 this time around.Magakarugo is an evolved Fire Snail thing. Real weird.
Not much strategy here, Hydro Pump or Surf can pretty much handle Blaine's Pokémon.but this time he's depressed and you also will be reading this too.
Blane has a Magakarugo on level 45
Blane has a Magmar on level 45
Blane has a Rapidash on level 50(You think Rapidash returned?..NAH..)
Prize: $5000
Special 5. - Don't talk to this dude.
After beating Blaine and grabbing his badge, some guy will come into the little room. You can talk to him if you want, but I don't think he does anything. He's probably just the guy who gives you tips before battling Gym Leaders, and probably got there a little late but you know about the Gym Leaders and stuff why bother speakin to him?
Next, head back to Viridian City.
__________________________________________________________________________________________
35. Viridian City
Special 1. - Easy Experience
The "Hologram Shop" is an excellent place in Viridian City where you can level up your Pokémon and get some cash. Inside the building next to the PokéMart, go downstairs and talk to the lady. Answer yes and you'll fight a hologram of yourself that has the three third evolution starter Pokémon.
Your Hologram has a Meganiumu on level 50
Your Hologram has a Bakufun on level 50
Your Hologram has an Odairu on level 50
Prize: $5000
Special 2. - Viridian Gym - 8th badge
When you go in the Viridian's Gym you'll find it Anti-Team Rocket but filled with Legos? That's scary but Giovanni left the gym to find the Leader Gary Oak?Gary Oak has Legos and makes the Gym's reputation horrible. But he has strong Pokèmons, but you should beware of the attacks..Gary uses Pokémon similar from the old versions, with references to the show as well.Gary's Pokémon may give you more challenge than previous Gym Leaders since he uses different types.
1.Pidgeot - Electric move.
2.Alakazam - Electric move.
3.Rhydon - Water move.
Gyarados - Electric move.
Exeggutor - Fire move.
Arcanine - Water move.
Gary has a Pidgeot(PID-GIT) on level 56
Gary has an Alakazam(AL-LA-KA-ZAM) on level 54
Gary has a Rhydon(RHY-DON)on level 56
Gary has a Gyarados(GYR-RA-DOS)on level 58
Gary has an Exeggutor(oy..EX-UH-GU-TOR)on level 58
Gary has an Arcanine(AR-CAIN-NINE)on level 58
After that the Lego Kid(Gary Oak) gives you $5080
That shouldn't be all difficult. After getting the badge from Gary, head back to Pallet Town.
__________________________________________________________________________________________
36. Pallet Town
Tip 1. - Have you looked at Ash's house if they have it yet?
Tip 2. - Same thing,Have you looked at Gary's house if they have it yet?
Special 1. - Professor Oak
Once back in Pallet Town go visit Professor Oak and he'll rate your Pokédex.
Also he will tell you about Silver Mountain, which is the next place you can travel to.Go to Viridian and take the Route toward Victory Road. Now it will let you in where the passages were being blocked by two guys. From here you can continue out the door to Silver Mountain or go to Indigo Plateau to fight someone that will be a lot easier than the final battle in Silver Mountain
Special 2. - Indigo Plateau - Rival - Final Battle
Anytime after fighting your Rival at Mount Moon you can fight him again at Indigo Plateau right before you go up the stairs to the Elite Four.
After beating your Rival you can go back to that door to the Silver Mountain area to fight some pretty tough Pokémon.
Nyuura...45
Kurobatto...48
Magneton...45
Gengar...46
Alakazam...46
3rd Evo Starter...50
Prize: $5000
__________________________________________________________________________________________
37. Final Level - SILVER MOUNTAIN.
Special 1. - Strong Pokémon
Once you start walking through the grassy areas after the Victory Road door exit, you'll start to encounter some very high level Pokémon. A couple new ones I encountered were Nyuura at night and Rapidash, but I was hoping there's gonna be other ones but I had my batteries dead by then. There's a Pokémon Center out here in the middle of nowhere, but luckily for you it will allow you to fly there later when you leave...
Special 2. - Silver Mountain Maze
Main 1. - Ash is Alone...
Ash doesn't like to talk. There's different ways you can go throughout Silver Mountain. But the only way I could go without a Pokémon with Waterfall was directly to Ash. Ash is really tough, so I suggest your Pokémon be at least in the high 60's if you wish to have even a slight chance.Blastoise can be taken out with a good Electric attack like Thunder or Thunder Punch.Charizard can be taken out with a couple Hydro Pumps.Try taking out Venusaur with a good Fire move or Psychic attack.Eefi can be very dangerous to you, his Psychic attacks murdalized all my Pokémon the first time I tried to take on Ash. Try using Nyuura from outside Silver Mountain since Dark Pokémon are resistant to Psychic.
Snorlax is Ash's most difficult Pokémon. However, if you have Haunter he would be really useful right about now, being totally resistant to Normal moves and all. Also, Haunter can take advantage of Snorlax always Resting by using Dream Eater. Ha! Take that you stupid Snorlax, finally Haunter is REALLY GOOD!Ash will usually send out Pikachu first. Even though he's level 81, Pikachu can be taken out easily with a couple strong attacks. Dugtrio or Sandslash could be quite useful here. After that you win. Ash leaves, credits role, Game Over.
