The 99 item code: First, put the item that you want in the 6th slot, next go to the man in the second town thats shows you how to catch a Weedle. Say your not in a hurry and he will show you. Next go straight to Fuschia City and surf to the Seaform Islands coast. Next go up and down the coast until you fight Missingo.

(Note- You will fight Proffesor Oak or your Rival if you all ready beat the game) After you fight them or it you will have 99 items. If you used it on the master balls you will get nine is all. But go to your PC and you will have 99 in there.

Now I know you came to this page to find out about Mew. Well guess what, I will tell you how. You need a gamegenie or gameshark though.

You can catch any pokemon with the following codes.

All codes require a Game Genie and a Pokémon Red or Blue version must be a old game boy to ensure that codes work. Use codes at your choice may erase game.

Gold Coin

996 - 11B - E6A

Buy Poke'balls with the code off. Then, sell them for a stunning $990200 each! You can sell other items for different amounts of money, but you get no money at all for selling Master Balls.

Get Mewtwo

After you have gotten all eight of your badges you need to go beat the pokemon league. The credits will roll and then the menu pops up again. DO NOT RESET THE GAME!!!! Go to Cerulean Citygo north to the brige where you faced 5 trainers before the path to Bill's house. Turn left and there will be a large area of water. Surf until you get to a cave. You will find Mewtwo in that cave.

Get MissingNo.

To get MissingNo (a glitch) go to Cinnabar Island and go into the Pokémon Research Labratory and trade with anyone in the first room. Then leave the Lab and go to the EAST of Cinnabar Island and surf up and down on the part where the land meets the water. Eventually the battle screen will come up and the screen goes black for about 5 seconds.

Once you find him I suggest you use a Level 30 to 40 Pokemon. This is because Missing No., even at Lv. 80, has a VERY low defense rating. So get him down pretty low. Even at low he is still extremely difficult to catch. So next get a Pokemon that knows a sleep move and put him to sleep. Follow this up with a couple Ultra Balls and you should have him.

NOTE: Catching MissingNo. may cause minor glitches. Also note that if he evolves (i.e., by receiving a Rare Candy) he will turn into a Khangiskahn or rhydon.

Get the Mimic TM

Buy a Pokedoll in Celadon Mart, then FLY to Saffron and talk to the Copycat. She will give you the Mimic TM.

Invisible Walls in Koga's Gym

If you look at the floors in Koga's Gym you will notice it has lines. In some spots you will see little gaps in the lines. These "gapped lines" are the invisible walls.

Level 100+ Pokemon

Follow these instructions to catch pokemon with really high levels.

Talk to the old man in Viridian City who shows you how to catch pokemon. Fly directly to Cinnabar Island. Put your strongest pokemon on your team. You might want to save now. Surf on the shore where the land touches water. Keep Surfing until you run into one of these strong pokemon.

These pokemon are well above level 100. Unfortunately, they will revert back to Level 100 if they gain any experience points. Rare Candy is the only thing that raises their level. They can be used in a two-player battle without losing their level, so have fun liquidating your friends!

Secret Coins

At the Game Corner there are secret coins lying around. You can get these coins by walking around and pressing the A button.

Statue Fishing

When inside a gym, if you stand beside or in front of the Pokemon statues, you can use any kind of Fishing Rod and actually go fishing! If you fish enough, you can catch some pretty good water Pokemon!

Stone and Trade Evolution Some Pokémon will only Evolve when they have been traded. They are:

Before = After Machoke = Machamp Graveler = Golem Haunter = Gengar Kadabra = Alakazam

Some Pokémon don't Evolve till you give them a Stone. They are:

FS = Fire Stone TS = Thunder Stone WS = Water Stone LS = Leaf Stone MS = Moon Stone

Hint: You can get the stones in the Mart in Celadon City.

Use a Pokéball as a Masterball Throw a regular Pokéball then hold DOWN + B or UP + B until the Pokéball explodes.

I don't know if the following codes work, but they are worth a try.

On the S.S. Anne, get HM01(CUT). DO NOT LEAVE THE SHIP! Fight as many trainers as you need to make your Pokémon faint. Once you have blacked out, you will be at the last Pokécentre. The S.S. Anne will not have left, but you will still have CUT. Later in the game, go to the S.S. Anne but don't go inside. At the dock after the man who looks at your ticket, SURF off to the side of the dock. At one of the sides, on land, you will see a truck. Mew is underneath the truck (I have no idea how to move the truck, but I have heard that you need a Hitmonchan\MissingNo who knows STRENGTH to move the truck). Get to a secret stairway in the S.S. Anne and go to the very bottom. Someone will trade you Mew for a different Pokémon.

** In the burnt-out lab on Cinnabar island (NOT the scientific lab), MEW and\or MEWTO ARE IN THIS BUILDING FOR SURE. I don't know where but they are in the building.

* Catch a Magikarp. Do not nickname it. Go to the Pokémon renamer in Lavender town and rename Magikarp to MEW. After that, press SELECT at least 8 times on your 13th item. Talk to the renamer again. In your Pokémon list, Magikarp will be flashing. Choose Magikarp again to be renamed and the renamer will not be able to. You now have Mew.

** When you catch Mewtwo, nickname it MEW. Take it to the daycare, and when you get it back it will be Mew.

** See No. 5, but use Magikarp instead of Mewtwo. ? Get someone who has a gameboy to give you a Pokémon with cut and instead of helping Bill, carry on the game until you have been to Cinnabar island. Now talk to Bill, but when he goes into the Cell Ceparation device, DO NOT activate it. Go to Cinnabar island and SURF on the right side on the shore (closest to the Pokécentre and Mart) and you will find MEW.

* Talk to the 2 people outside the buldings in Pallet town. Now go to Cinnabar island and surf all the way around it. You will find MEW.

** Fight someone who has Mew and uses it (with a link cable) and after fighting, go to the old man in Viridian City and when he asks you if you are in a hurry say no. FLY to Cinnabar island and SURF on the right side on the shore (closest to Pokécentre and Mart). You should find Mew and/or any other Pokémon your opponent was using.
