"I can't believe this, I can talk to Pokemon, this is so cool." Gregg said. "Where's Gary at? He's my master not you." The Squirtle said. "No I am your master, well I'm not your master, but I am your owner. At least now I am." Gregg replied. "No your not, Gary is, he helped me, when I was abandoned. So he is my owner not you." The Squirtle said angrily. "Look I just want to be friends with you, do you think that because you were bandoned before, that I'm gonna do that to you, cause I wont." Gregg said. "Ok, I guess I'll trust you, so were are we going?" Squirtle asked. "Well I heard that there was going to be this tournament for begining Pokemon trainers, so we're going to enter it." Gregg replies. "So let's go." Gregg and his new Pokemon friend head out into the grassy Route 1, on there way to the Viridian City Beginner Tournament. While walking through Route 1 they heard a noise. "What was that?" Squirtle asks. "I don't know, ot sounded like it was coming from those bushes." Gregg replied. Then out of nowhere a Pidgey comes flying out of the bushes. Gregg pulls out his pokedex. He looks up Pidgey. It says, "Pidgey, the small bird Pokemon. This Pokemon doesn't like to fight, so it kicks sand in it's opponents eyes to get away." "Wow a Pidgey, well Squirtle it looks like our first battle has come." Gregg excitedly says. The Pidgey flies in the air quickly and swoops down for a Fly attack, but Squirtle dodges it. "Squirtle use Skull Bash." Gregg orders. Squirtle jumpes in the air, and pushes all it's body parts into it's shell. Then it sends itself spinning towards Pidgey at a high speed. It was a direct hit, and Pidgey is out. "Go Pokeball." Gregg says as he throughs a Pokeball to the Pidgey. The Pokeball rolls three times, then catches Pidgey. "All right I caught a Pidgey." Gregg says.
