NEW! Poetry and Doll Maker with Galleries!     [Learn About Our Ecommerce]
Graphics Gallery!

You may have heard about the new Pokémon card game released by Wizards of the Coast. In Japan, that card game has become so popular that they re-released it as a Gameboy Color title, Pokémon Card GB (Pokémon Trading Card Game - English)! Of course the Gameboy version has added a few things to make 1-player gaming a little more interesting, but other than that it's pretty much Pokémon TCG. Your goal is to become a Pokémon Card Master by defeating others in Pokémon Clubs around the Pokémon TCG map. You'll be able to buy items, learn new abilities, link up to challenge a friend, or challenge club members to battles as you progress through the game.

To everyone's dismay, none of the characters from the original game (i.e. Ash, Brock, Misty, Professor Oak, and Gary) are in Pokémon Card GB. Instead, look for Dr. Mason to help you out when you begin playing.
There will be over 200 cards featuring all of your favorite Pokémon from RBY. There will also be 18 cards exclusively for the video game and cannot be found outside in stores.

You can also use a link up with another person to play cards using a Link Cable.

The Sneak Pikachu 2000 show Nintendo also has mentioned that you can use something called the "Card Pocket" to generate new cards in conjunction with Pokémon Trading Card Game.

The cards in the game are slightly different from the U.S. cards, but are similar enough to understand and use. Your 1st battle is also a tutorial for those of you who have not had the chance to play the addictive card game. The strategy is easy to pick up, yet challenging to master so there should be a good deal of replay value to the game.

This game will be playable on all Gameboy systems, April 10
