#1 Pokemon, I Choose You!
Ash oversleeps and shows up at the Pokemon competition late. Most of the Pokemon are already choosen, and Dr. Oak gives Ash the willfull Pikachu as his starter Pokemon. Trying to catch Pidhey, Ash accidentally angers a flock of Spearows. Pikachu and Ash defend each other, and Pikachu is hurt in the battle. Ash steals Misty's Bike to get the injured Pikachu to a hospital.
#2 Pokemon Emergency
Rushing into town. policewoman suspects that Ash might be a Pokemon thief. Realizing he isn't, she helps rush Pikachu to the hospital. Misty catches up to Ash at the hospital and scolds him for stealing her bike. The evil Team Rocket, consisting of Jesse and James, is introduced and attempts to kidnap the Pokemon at the hospital. Jesse, James, and Meowth learn that Ash's Pikachu is no ordinary Pikachu and vows to catch it.
#5 Showdown in Pewter City
Recovering at the Pewter City Pokemon Center, Ash learns about a tournament. He goes to the Pewter City Gym to try to earn his first badge. Brock, the gym leader, ends up joining Ash and Misty in their travles.
#6 Clefairy and the Moon Stone
The gang saves Seymour the scientist from a flock of Zubats. Team Rocket is in search of the Moon Stone, an element that increases a Pokemon's power disturbs the habitat of several Pokemon.
#7 The Water Flowers of Cerulean City
Misty doesn't want to go to Cerulean City, home of the Sensational Sisters. At an aquarium Pokemon gym, Ash challenges the Sensational Sister's gym leaders. They're too tired to battle, but Misty reveals that she is one of the Sisters. Ash and Misty battle until Team Rocket intereres.
#8 The Path to the Pokemon League
An overconfident Ash takes on A.J., a trainer wo might be pushing his Pokemon too hard. When Team Rocket kidnaps A.J.'s Sandshrew, A.J. realizes how much he misses the Pokemon.
#9 The School of Hard Knocks
While searching for firewood, Ash comes acrosss students from Pokemon Tech, a school for Pokemon trainers. Misty battles a student and a teacher, adn Ash comes to her defense. Pokemon Tech alumni Team Rocket attacks but is overwhelmed by the student body.
#10 Bulbasaur and the Hidden Village
Misty and Ash try to catch an Oddish and a Bulbasaur. While crosssing a weak bridge, Brock falls into the river and is saved by Melanie, a girl who raises Pokemon. Team Rocket attacks yet again and Ash has to prove himself worthy enough to Bulbasaur.
#11 Charmander, The Stray Pokemon
The kids come across a sick Charmander who's waiting for its trainer by the road. At the Pokemon Center, Brock is angered when he hears Charmander's trainer doesn't care what happens to it. They save the Pokemon, but it still wants to wait for its owner. Team Rocket manages to capture the gang, but Charmander comes to the rescue. Its negligent owner comes back, only to get a scorching from the little lizard.
#12 Here Comes the Squirtle Squad
A group of Squirtle practical jokers trap our heroes in a pit, but they manage to escape. Later, the same Squirtles join up with Team Rocket and capture Pikachu. During Pikachu's rescue. Ash saves the Squirtle leader from Team Rocket's bombs. In appreciation, the Squirtle joins Ash's stable of Pokemon.
#13 Mystery at the Lighthouse
Ash catches aKrabby, but finds out that he can only carry six Pokemon at a time. The rest are teleported to Dr. Oak's lab. Ash goes to a lighthouse to call and check on his Pokemon. A Pokemon researcher living there tells him about rare Pokemon, including a Loch Ness monster-type.
#14 Electric Shock Showdown
Ash, Misty, and Brock arrive in Vermilion City, and Pikachu battles the cruel Lt. Surge's Raichu (a evolved form of Pikachu). Pikachu loses and refuses a nurse's offer to upgrade its power to the level of Raichu. Pikachu requests a rematch and uses its greater speed and agility to defeat Raichu.
#15 Battle Aboard the St. Anne
A disguised Team Rocket convinces many trainers to board a free cruise. Team Rocket tries to vacuum up all the Pokemon, but Ash rallies the trainers to fight back. The ship begins to sink with everyone abboard.
#16 Pokemon Shipwreck
Officer Jenny's is holding a funeral for our heroes, who she believes have perished in the sinking ship. Inside the sinking ship, the enemies call a truce to escape the ship, like in the film "The Poseidon Adventure." James kick his useless Magikarp into the water, where it evolves into a powerful Gyrados sea serpent and returns to attack everyone on board the ship.
#17 Island of the Giant Pokemon
The Pokemon are separated from their masters and wash up on shore. Both humans and Pokemon are menaced by giant Pokemon, but they later find out it's only an amusement park.
#18 Holiday at Aopuroco

In this episode Ash's mom enters a swimming tournament. James is in a swimsuit and apparently has bigger breasts then Jesse so the censorship here decided it wasn't suitable for the viewers here. Thats why it wasn't shown here in the U.S..
#19 Tentacool and Tentacruel
A developer in Porta Vista tries to build a resort on the off-shore reef home of some Tentacools. A batched attempt by the Team Rocket to capture the Tentacools causes one of them to evolve into a giant Tentacruel. Misty convinces the Tentacruel not to destroy the town.
#21 Bye Bye Butterfree
It's Butterfree mating season, so Ash tries to find his Butterfree a suitable mate. Team Rocket shows up with a giant butterfly net and captures nearly all the Butterfree. Ash's butterfree leads a rescue mission, and then Ash says good-bye as the Butterfree fly off into the sunset.
#22 Abra and the Pychic Showdown
Ash and freinds meet a mysterious girl in the woods, who later saves them from a Team Rocket trap. A psychic jogger warns them about the city's gym leader, Sabrina, who uses an Abra and a Kadabra. Ash learns that he needs a ghost Pokemon to defeat Sabrina's psychic Pokemon.
#23 Tower of Terror
The kids must enter a haunted house to catch a ghost Pokemon. After some mischief, Ash discovers the Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar that live there are friendly ghosts. Haunter decides to join the group.
#24 Haunter vs. Kadabra
Haunter disappears when Ash challenges Sabrina again. The psychic jogger tells Ash Sabrina's origin, while haunter saves Pikachu form Team Rocket. In the final battle, Haunter wins by making Sabrina laugh. The jogger reveals himself to be Sabrina's father.
#25 Primeape Goes Bananas
Dr. Oak tell Ash that he trails his rival Gary in badges and Pokemon. While Ash is taunted by a Mankey, Team Rocket attacks. Jesse adn James learns its not good to anger a Mankey, because it evolved into a ferocious Primeape. Ash manages to defeat the Primeape with Charmander.
#26 Pokemon Scent-sation!
The Celadon City Pokemon Center is also a perfume shop. Ash doesn't like perfume, and his complaining gets him kicked out. Team Rcoket gets Ash to dress as "Ashley" to sneak back in, but Pikachu messes up Ash's disguise. Ash challenges Erica, the gym leader, and her smelly Gloom Pokemon.
#27 Hypno's Naptime
Kids are missing and Pokemon is falling asleep in Hop-Hop-Hop City. Officer Jenny and the gang discover the problem is a Hypno causing children to act like sleeping Pokemon. They use a Drowzee to solve the problem, and Misty gets stuck with Psyduck.
#28 Pokemon Fashion Flash
Pokemon beauty parlors are becoming all the rage. Misty takes Psyduck to treny Salon Rocke, a front for Team Rocket. Brock, Ash and honest stylist Susan come to the rescue. Team Rocket's Pokemon trip over their outlandish clothes and Brock gets Susan's Vulpix.
#29 The Punchy Pokemon
An obsessed father ignores his family so that he can train his boxing Hitmochan. Team Rocket attempts to cheat and rig a tournament, but Ash's Primeape wins anyway. Ash gives Primeape to the trainer, who vows to spend more time with his family.
#31 Dig Those Digletts
Digletts are causing trouble for the construction workers of the Giva Dam. A crowd of trainers throw Pokeballs at teh Digletts, but the Pokemon refuses to fight. It turns out the Digletts are protecting their home. Team Rocket attacks with their newly evolved Weezing and Arbok, but the Diglets beat them with a dirt wave.
#32 The Ninja Poke-Showdown
The kids came across a gym run by ninja Pokemon trainers. When Team Rocket iterrupts the match, Misty's Psyduck proves its worth by beating them. Afterwards Ash beats the gym leader and wins another badge.
#33 The Flame Pokemon-athon
Ash, Misty, and Brock stumble upon a Pokemon preserve where trainers aren't allowed to catch Pokemon. A girl named Laura invites them to a party for the Pokemon race, where she accidentally breaks her arm. Ash takes her place and beats a cheater who hired Team Rocket to sabatoge the race.
#34 The Kangaskhan Kid
n the Safari Zone, the kids came across Officer Jenny, who is trying to catch Pokemon preserve poachers. The culpirts turn out to be Team Rcoket. A herd of Kangaskhan is saved by a Tarzan-like kid. The boy's parents show up, and the group helps reunite them.
#35 Legend of Dratini

In this episode Ash helps the Safari warden stop Team Rocket from trying to capture Dratini, and life long friend of the warden's.
#37 Ditto's Mysterious Mansion
On a dark and stormy night, the gang comes across a Ditto and a trainer, both of whom can copy any form. Team Rocket steals a Ditto, hoping to have it change into a rare Dratini. The trainers rely on shapeshifting to fool Team Rcoket and rescue the little Ditto.
#38 Electric Soldier Porygon

In this episode Ash and his friends run into a weird science facility with a Scientist who is trying to perfect the Pokemon teleporter. When a virus infects the computers Ash must go in and stop the virus, and with Team Rocket there it becomes a real cool episode. This is the famous episode that canceled the series in Japan during December, flashing light from an explosion gave 700 kids seizures.
#39 Pikachu's Good-bye
Ash's Pikachu encounters a dozen of wild Pikachus in a forest. Ash thinks Pikachu might be happier living with his own kind. Team Rcoket catches all the Pikachus, but Ash's Pikachu leads a revolt. Ash decides to leave his Pikachu behind, but Pikachu returns to Ash's arms.
#40 The Battling Eevee Brothers
Ash and crew came across an abandoned Eevee. Bringing it back to its rightful owner, the boy's brothers pressure him to evolve it. Team Rocket steals all the Pokemon, the evolving stones and the food at the party. During the rescue, Eevee proves itself.
#41 Wake Up, Snorlax
Team Rocket tries to capture a sleeping Snorlax that is blocking a town's river. Ash and friends join forces with Team Rocket to try and wake up the Snorlax. They discover an old hippie with a Pokeflute that can wake up the Snorlax.
#42 Showdown at Dark City
Dark City has two authorized Pokemon training gyms, but both hate outside trainers. Team Rocket joins forces with the Kas gym and its main rival. Kas gym tries to recruit our heroes, but Ash wants nothing to do with gangs. A Pokemon Inspector reprimands both gyms and puts Ash in charge of their clean-up effort.
#44 The Problem with Paras
A beautiful Pokemon healer needs her timid Paras to evolve into a Parasect so that she can harness its spore t make a wonder medicine. Meowth becomes ill, is saved by the healer and falls hopelessly in love with her. Team Rocket tries to help the Paras evolve into a Parasect, only because they think it will help them get rich.
#45 The Song of Jigglypuff
The team tries to teach Jigglypuff (a Pokemon whose sweet song can put people to sleep) how to sing. Team Rocket conspires to harness the Jigglypuff's nap-inducing power and rob Neon Town, Pokemon version of Las Vegas.
#46 Attack of the Prehistoric Pokemon
After Pokemon fossils are discovered in Grampa Canyon, it touches off a prospecting boom. Ash soon discovers that the thought-to-be extinct Aerodactyl is still very much alive and well.
#49 So Near, Yet So Farfetch'd
A trainer is convinced that his Farfetch'd is too weak to fight that he resortss to thievery to catch Pokemon. After Misty is tricked by the trainer, it's up to the gang to get Misty's Pokemon collection back.
#50 Who gets to Keep Togepi? THE BEST EPISDOE STARRING ME SS TOGEPI!!!!!!
The egg that the kids have been carrying is almost ready to hatch. Team Rocket manages to steal it, but Meowth develops genuine feelings for it. Ash and Meowth battle for the possession of the newest Pokemon, but the Togepi attaches itself to Misty.
#51 Bulbasaur's Mysterious Garden
Answering a nature's call, Ash's Bulbasaur migrates to the Mysterious Garden. Concerned for its safety, the trainers follow and witness a secret evolution ceremony. Of course, Team Rocket can't pass up the opportnity to catch so many Ivysaurs at once.
#52 Princess vs. Princess
On a holiday for girls, Jesse captures a pesky Lickitung. Tempers flare when Team Rocket and Ash & co. meet up, so Jesse and Misty decide to battle it out by entering a beauty pagent/pokemon tournament.
#53 The Purr-fect Hero
It's kids day, so Ash, Brock and Misty stop at a school to let the kids play with their pokemon. Everyone is having fun, except one little boy who wants to meet a Meowth...
#55 Pokemon Paparazzi
Todd, the world's foremost Pokemon photographer, wants to take a picture of Pikachu, but the little guy is scared of the camera. Ash and Pikachu get trapped in a underground water tunnel and Todd saves them. Team Rocket kidnaps Pikachu, but Ash's Bulbasaur rescues him.
#56 The Ultimate Test
Think that trainers don't have to go to school? Think again, Ash has to take the Pokemon League admissions exam. Jesse and James sneak into the class, and both are expelled. Ash batles the class teacher and loses, while Team Rocket plots revenge.
#57 The Breeding Center Secret
A new breeding center is actually a cover for a diabolical scheme, but it's not Team Rocket! Meet Butch and Cassidy, Team Rocket's biggest rivals in being bad.
#58 Riddle Me This
Our heroes travel to Cinnabar Island, but Ash is disappointed when Gary tells him that Blaine's GYM shut down. But they follow the clues of a strange man who turns out to be Blaine. Ash and Blaine battle 3 on 3 over a lava pool inside Blaine's secret GYM. After Ninetales and Rhydon, Blaine sends out Magmar. How can Pikachu defend against it's powerful Fire Blast?
#59 Volcanic Panic
Even after forfeiting the match against Blaine, Ash is still determined to win his Volcano Badge. Team Rocket tries to capture Magmar, but their ice guns nearly cause the volcano to erupt! By combining their pokemon they stop the eruption, and Blaine gives Ash another chance. It's 1 on 1 as Magmar and Charizard fight to see who is the stronger. After exchanging fire attacks, Charizard's Seismic Toss defeats Magmar to win Ash his Volcano Badge!
#60 Beach Black-out Blastoise
While leaving Cinnabar Island, the gang finds an island where wild Squirtle, Wartortle, and Blastoise live. But they're all asleep due to Jigglypuff's song, and Team Rocket tries to capture the sleeping Blastoise. (Strangely similar to the "Bulbasaurs Mysterious Garden" episode)
#61 Misty the Mermaid
When Ash, Misty and Brock make a return visit to Cerulean City, Misty gets tricked into performing in an underwater ballet by her sisters in order to preserve the dying GYM. It goes fine until Team Rocket tries to steal the water pokemon. Their plot is foiled when the sister's Seel evolves into Dewgong.
#62 The Tales of Clefairy
A seymor-like scientist teams up with Ash and his friends to find a crashed UFO. The Clefairy pilots are stealing things from the entire town to repair their ship, including Pikachu, Ash's, Brock's, and Misty's backpacks, and Jigglypuff's felt pen. A battle ensues between Jigglypuff and the Clefairy!
#63 The Battle of the Badge
(great episode just for all of the 1st appearances!) Ash returns to Viridian City to earn his Earth Badge! There he meets up with Gary, who beats him to the GYM. Giovanni reveals himself, and a 3 on 3 match begins. Gary easily defeats Giovanni's Golem and Kingler with his Nidoking and Arcanine, but he is stopped dead in his tracks when he faces a mysterious new pokemon: Mewtwo!! Dressed in armor, it easily defeats Gary's pokemon with it's psychic attacks. Ash bursts in to find Gary and his fans out cold. Gary tells him about the unbeatable new pokemon, and Ash wants his Badge. But it seems that Giovanni had to leave on urgent business (with Mewtwo), so he left Jesse and James in charge. Against Gary's warnings, Ash accepts their challenge. Even under Jesse's control, Giovanni's Machamp and Kingler are more than a match for Squirtle and Bulbasaur, but with Pikachu's and Pidgeotto's help Ash wins! Team Rocket drops an Earth Badge for Ash as they blast off, and Gary is impressed.

LG. #1 All fired up!
Ash arrives at the Indego Plateu just as the torch is being taken the the Indego Stadium. He finds Pres. of Pokemon League Mr. Goodshow and asks to carry the torch. (All of us here wish he burnt himself). Goodshow says that Ash has spirt and holds the torch. Well, its about time,Team Rocket steals the torch. It ends up going out after they steal it. Goodshow says that the flame comes from Moltres and he keeps a spare close to his heart. So it reaches the stadium and two "keepers" are there and take the torch from the girl. Now boys and girls who do you think just got the torch??? So Jes. Kojiro (James) and meowth have the torch and they get in this mantis thing and shoot the torch fire at ASh. it doesn't hurt him and MOLTRES APPEARS AND SENDS THE MANTIS IN TO OBLIVIAN!!!
LG #2 Round ONE! BEGIN!
Ash goes to the League building and presses this button to tell him whether he is on the Water, Grass, Ice, or Rock field. He is on the Water first facing a very popular trainer the Astounding Mandy. He then calls Prof. Oak and Oak suggests that he use a water Pokemon, Krabby and transports it. They are now at the water field and a nervous Ash enters the ring. Mandy uses Exeggutor and Ash uses Krabby, against Misty's suggestions. Krabby dives in and Exeggutor uses a Pychic thingy and causes a Whirlpool and Krabby can't be returned. Krabby breaks free and uses crabby hammery (YYYYYYYYYYYY!! Ive gone nuts)and then Stompy! Krabby wins (COOKIE COOKIE!!) and evolveys into Kingler! Now its Seadra vs. Mr. Cookie (Kingler)! seadra uses Agility and is too fast for Kingler, but Kingler manages to hit Seadra with bubble and wins. Last Cookies vs. GOLBAT, Kingler is getting his butt beat and a last ditch effort Kingler uses Hyper Beam and wins! ASH WON AND IS GOING NUTS :(.
