Codes, Tips, and Secrets
To catch Safari Zone Pokemon outside of the Safari Zone, enter the Safari Zone. Then, as soon as you get in, turn around and leave. Say yes when the person asks, "Leaving early?" Then go to the Pokemon Center at Fuschia City and walk down from there to the "beach." Surf down from there and to the left. Go to the coast of Seafoam Island, and surf up and down. When a Pokemon appears, it should be one you find in the Safari Zone, such as Eggsecute. Note: Pokemon like Kangaskhan and Tauros are very hard to find, even there, and it will take a very long time to find one.

Put the item you want in the sixth slot. Fly to Viridian City, and talk to the old man. Watch him catch a Weedil. Then, Fly to Fuschia City and Surf down from there to the coast of Seafoam Island. Surf up and down until you meet a messed up looking Pokemon. It's name is either Missingno. or "M," with funny looking symbols. Run away, and press Start to check your items. You should have a funny symbol and a 9 next to it. That means 129 or 119 or something like that. Warning: Seeing the funny looking Pokemon messes up your Hall of Fame if you have one, and catching it does other bad stuff to your game. Don't blame me if anything happens. I suggest you save just before you try to meet it.
Try this to get more great Pokemon!
You will need Game Boys, 2 Pokemon games, and 1 Game Link. Have each get at least one Pokemon: One brings a really good one, and the other brings a common one, such as Pidgey or Rattata. Go to the Pokemon Center and both talk to the person. Go in the trade center and start the trade with those two Pokemon. Just as the last "Waiting. . ." disappears from the screen, the person trading away the good Pokemon turns his or game off. When the screen says "Trade Completed!" then turn off the other Game boy. Try cloning Eevee. You can also clone "once-a-game" Pokemon for a person who couldn't catch that one. Warning!!! I tried this code, and my brother's game got erased after 3 trades!!! Try this at your own risk!!!
I have a code that I know works! I tried it out myself, and some of my other friends did too. First, Fly to Viridian City. Then, talk to the man who teaches you how to catch pokemon and watch him catch a Weedil. Then, Fly to Fuschia City and Surf to Seafoam Island. Surf up and down the coast. When you see a Missingno., catch it. Then, feed it a rare candy. It will say, "What? Missingno. is evolving!" Then, let it evolve. It will evolve into Kangaskhan. Warning!!! This will probably mess up your game. All the effects that happen when you catch Missingno. stay there. Try at your own risk!!!
Tips
If you go to the motel near the bottom of Celadon City, you can use an invisible computer. Go to the left side of the wall. Face the top, and walk forward until you bump into the wall. Walk 2 steps back, then 1 forward, and press A. A computer menu will pop up just like the one in the Pokémon Center. This isn't particularly useful, though.
You can fish in statues!!! Go to any gym, then face a statue. Go to the item menu, and use any rod. This is just like fishing anywhere else.
You can cut away tall grass. This is useful if your pokémon are injured and you are trying to reach the Pokémon Center.
On the rooftop of the Celadon City department store, when you buy a FRESH WATER from the vending machine, buy one of each (another FRESH WATER too) and give them to the little girl. She will give you 3 TMs. This doesn't work more than once, I think you only get one of each of those TMs in the game. |
