Pokèmon Comics

Now you have another reason to read the morning newspaper! Pikachu + company are starring in their own cartoon strip in local newspapers!

Extra, extra! Read All About It!

Who would've guessed that Charlie Brown and Garfield would one day be rubbing elbows with Pikachu and Hitmonchan? It's true. Right now, your favorite Pokémon are starring in their very own comic strip in local newspapers across the country.

The Pokémon newspaper comic strip is being created by Ashura Benimaru, executive director at Creatures (one of the original creators of Pokémon), and Gerard Jones, a comic book writer well known for his work on such titles as Dragon Ball Z, Spider-Man and Batman!

The comic strip follows the adventures of Ash, Misty, Pikachu and their friends on their quests to become Pokémon Trainers. On Sundays, the Pokémon comic strip is in full color!

For more information on the very first Pokémon newspaper comic strip visit the official site hosted by Viz Comics. There, you'll be able to learn how the strip was created and see more examples of Pokémon comics.

The Pokémon comic strip started running in newspapers on September 10, but if you haven't seen it in your paper then you have to do something about it. Request it by phone, email or even snail mail. Check http://emedia1.mediainfo.com/emedia/ for the contact information for your local newspaper.

Now you can keep up with current events and Pokémon at the same time!
