Deck Submittal Guidelines:
7-2-99 - NEW RULES - Killer Deck Reports will usually only be taken from those participating in large-scale organized events. We no longer see any need to post tourneys held at sleepovers, or friends houses. These are all posted in March, April, and May, & June. Large-scale organized tourneys is where we will learn the good decks from the bad. ALSO ... your reports has to be informative and written well.
If you submit a deck report, you MUST tell us:
Where was the large-scale tournament held? City, State, Place, and Date. About, how many people participated? This gives your deck report some respect. Be honest. Tourneys at friends houses do not count as a large-scale tourney, as the world at large is usually not invited.
List all 60 cards in your deck and tell us the tourney results. We've said this many a time, ... even if your deck does bad .. write a detailed report if you want, everyone will still learn from it, and may recommend good changes for you. Try to tell us the types of decks you faced each round.
The deck name & your name must be listed in the subject line of your email. Did you use someone else's deck in the tourney? Tell us that name. If it is essentially a Haymaker invented by Brian Brokaw from the Pokegym, why rename it?! Give the guy his credit. How did it do? We want to know? We will post your results right under that existing deck. Fake names are fine (but no Pokemon names please).
Provide your name & e-mail address at the bottom of your report, so other readers can contact you. We will not post your deck if you do not. Let people contact you directly. Fake names are fine (but no Pokemon names please). No email address ... no posting.
Do not send us decks containing Japanese cards that are not available in the U.S! They are illegal in DCI sanctioned tourneys, so they do no good to anyone here in the United States.
Remove all HTML codes from your emails. Some of you like to design your emails with background colors, text colors, and goofy fonts. We like to just save your emails as *.txt files to post on the site, and all your HTML codes show as programming code, and look really bad.
Decks that do not meat the above Requirements are simply sent into our wastebasket, or forward to someone else who will critique your deck. We apologize if we hurt your feelings, but with the quantity of email we get, we had to set some very high standards to keep our site top notch. Thanks!!!!
Don't be surprised if it takes 5 to 10 days to get your deck posted. We get a lot of mail we have to go through. If you played in a DCI sanctioned tourney, told us where it was, & wrote a decent report ... don't worry we'll get it posted.
Submit your deck to the pokemondjx at jxerri@suffolk.lib.ny.us
We have always been thankful for each and every submittal we have received!!
