POKEMON YELLOW FIELD GUIDE

You start off in your house at Pallet town. Before leaving the house, go over to the computer and get the potion out of your PC file. now, you may exit the house. If you want, you can go around the town to get used to it. When you're done, leave the town at the north and Prof. Oak will come and tell you about having a pokemon for your own protection. then, Prof. Oak will catch a Pikachu for you and bring you to his lab. there, your rival will recieve an Eevee and you will get to keep Pikachu. Battle your rival ( use the potion if Pikchu's health gets very low ), leave the lab and go north out of Pallet and into the grassy areas. Battle around a bit to get used to battling and for some experience points. raise Pikachu to Lv. 10 atleast and north still to Viridian city. heal Pikachu, go to the pokemon shop at the right of the town and you will recieve Prof. Oak's parcel. after you get it, go back down to Pallet town. On your way down, battle until Pikachu gets to lv. 11. Go to Prof. Oak's lab and give the parcel to him. your rival and you will both get a pokedex each from the Prof. and he will tell you of your pokemon aventure. once the lecure is over, go to he house at the right of the town, talk to the girl inside ( your rival's sister ) and get a town map. Exit the house and go north back up to Viridian city. raise Pikachu to Lv. 12 on the way. Go to the pokecenter, heal Pikachu, then go to the pokemart and get 5 Pokeballs and a few potions. exit then go left of the town out into your rival's shadows. Battle him ( you would probably win by now, you have a Lv. 12 Pikachu. Anyway, after you win, go to the grass at the bottom from where you fought your rival and catch a Mankey. Raise it to Lv. 7 or 8 and go back to the pokecenter. If mankey faints, go to the pokecenter and go to the grass again. Now, head north to Viridian forest. On the way, an annoying, but heplful man will stop you and show you how to catch pokemon. Once you reach the forest, battle everyone, and some of the pokemon in the forest. raise the mankey to Lv. 10 and Pikachu at any Lv. you want until you get tired of this. Now, exit the forest and into Pewter City. Go to the pokecenter, heal your pokemon and go to the gym at the left of the city. battle brock with mankey's low kick beause Pikachu won't hurt Brock's rock pokemon a bit. Get the boulder badge, and go to the pokecenter, heal your pokemon, go to the pokemart and get some potions. pokeballs if you need any. go around the city if you want before you exit. Exit at the right. Go throught the trainers and head up to Mt. moon. there is a pokecenter at the entrance. go heal your pokemon at it and then go into the cave. make your way through it getting the dome or helix fossil ( I like Dome best though ) and any rare candys you find, keep them. you will need them later on. Go out of the cave, then east to Cerulean city. Heal your pokemon, go north up onto the bridge in the middle of the city. battle your rival, and the 6 team rocket members to win a nugget ( sell it at the pokemart when you go back down to the main part of the city. Make your way through the trainers east of the bridge and go into the cottage near the sea. help Bill ( the pokemon- or human ) inside the house and he will give you an S.S. Ticket. Go back down south to the main city and heal your pokemon. Battle Misty ( the gym leader ) with Pikachu as it IS an electric type and all of Misty's pokemon are weak against thundershock. Use double team about 4 times on her staryu before attacking. That way, she can't hardly get a hit off you. After you beat her, go to the pokecenter, heal your pokemon and go north into the house with the police officer at the side of the door. exit the back of the house and defeat the rocket member and go south to the underground house at the bottom right corner. Go out the other side, and head south again, defeating all the trainers or some of them to Vermillion city. Heal your pokemon, go down to the pokemart, buy some pokeballs and super potions for your pokemon. go east and train your pokemon around for a while. After you are done, go back top the pokecenter, heal your pokemon and go back down, but this time, to the bridge on to the S.S. Anne. You may battle around the ship fir experince points ( I'd do it, no matter how long it takes! ). Go down to the second floor of the boat and battle your rival in the hall. go to the captain's room and help him out by talking to him ( ? ). He will give you HM 01 ( Cut ).Exit the ship and east at Diglett's cave ( while you are here, you can go and get the flash HM at the end of the cave if you cought atleast 10 kinds of different species of pokemon to teach to either Pikachu, a bellsprout, or an oddish ). catch a diglett, teach it cut, and go on to the pokecenter, heal your pokemon, go down south to the gym. cut the bush down with diglett's cut and enter the gym. You will have to figure out the code to get the door open to Lt. Surge's door. ( when you find the first right trash can that has a lock under it, go to the trash can right beside it and the second lock will appear opening the door. go into the room, and deafeat Lt. surge. If your diglett knows dig, use it and your problems are over! Once you have defeated him, exit the gym and north to the two houses above the gym. the house on the far left will have a man inside who will give you a bike voucher for just listening to him talk! exit the house, and north to the pokecenter and heal your pokemon.Go north back up to cerulean, and go to the shop left of the pokemart and get a bike. Then, go out of cerulean again and right of the town where you see another bush, like the one at the vermillion gym. cut it down with Diglett and battle all the trainers if you want through the path. keep going east and then south to the pokecenter. heal your pokemon, then go up to the cave next to the pokecenter. Go into the cave and use flash from whichever pokemon you gave it to. Go throuth the cave and catch a machop. your team should be: Pikachu, Diglett, Bellsprout, and Machop, or some of ther evolved formsor, any of the pokemon that you want. At the end of the cave, you will be in a new path. go south to Lavender town ( batlle some trainers, too ). Go to the pokecenter and heal your pokemon. then go south of Lavender, and battle the fisherman on the bridge ( this is a good time to raise Pikachu's leavel a bit ). when you are at the end with the sleeping pokemon ( you will be able to capture this later on ), go back to Lavender. heal your pokemon, then go to the pokemart and buy up some items that you may need and want. Head west and through the trainers at the path, and at the end, you will find a fairly large house. go north of it to the small one and go through it. you will now end up in Celedon city. Go to the pokecenter and heal your pokemon.
Go defeat Erika at the gym. If you picked up a charmander earlier, and it evolved, it would be a good choise. Diglett and kadabra are also good. After you defeat her, go to the big building ( pokemart ) and get some items. then, go to the game corner andfight the man at the top guarding a poster. after you defeat him, he'll run away. press the poster. a door will open at your right. enter the door, and you will be in team rocket's hideout. make your way throught it. get the lift key and go to the elevator. go up to the 4th. basement and defeat Jessie and James and Giovanni. Get the Silph Scope and then go to the pokecenter, heal your pokemon, and head back to lavender town.Go to the pokemon tower, make your way to the sixth floor and defeat the marowak ( you can't catch it ). Go through the door to the seventh floor, defeat team rocket and save Mr. Fuji to get the pokflute wich can awake all sleeping pokemon. Go heal your pokemon and go south down the bridge ( this is familiar isn't it? ). When you reach the pokemon you couldn't get past before, use your pokeflute to wake it up. Defeat it, or capture it ( whichever one you want ). Go down the rest of the bridge, then west, south, and west again to Fushia city. heal your pokemon, then defeat the gym leader ( koga ) at the gym. after, go heal your pokemon again, head north to the safari zone, and through it to get HM 03 and the warden's gold teeth ( don't ask ) and go back down to the main part of Fushia. go east of the pokecenter and to the warden's house. give him his gold teeth to get HM 04. you can move the boulder at the right to get a rare candy. after that, you can go to the house next to the warden to get a good rod. if you have the super rod, you can use it at the beach to get a water pokemon to teach it surf. Now, go west to the cycling road and go to the top. you'll end up at one of those snorlax's again....wake it up, catch it or defeat it, then cut down the bush next to it. go uyp and through the small house beside the tall grass. at the other end, there is a house with a girl inside who will give you HM 02. you can catch a flying pokemon at the other end of the house at the tall grass and teach it fly. Go to the main part of celedon, heal your pokemon, go to the pokemart, get a soda ( either one ) then go east of celedon to the house you came into it. but don't go in. go in the house next to it. there is a guard who will take the soda. Now, you can go on to Saffron. Go to the middle building ( silph co. ). Go through it and defeat your rival, team rocket, and Giovanni. get a master ball from the owner of silph ( you might want to save this....*grin* ). go to the pokiecenter, heal your pokemon, and go defeat the leader of the unnoficial gym to get either hitmonlee or hitmonchan, then go to the official gym and defeat sabrina to get the marsh badge. go heal your pokemon, then fly to Pallet town, surf at the south of Pallet down to Cinnabar. heal your pokemon, then go to the empty fire house left of the gym, go through it to the basement, get the secret key, go to the pokecenter, heal your pokemon ( how many times have I said that so far?.... ) and go defeat Blaine at the gym. go heal your pokemon, fly over to Viridian city, go to the gym and defeat Giovanni ( you might want to train a little bit to atleast Lv. 50 or above for most or all your pokemon ), heal your pokiemon, then go left of the pokecenter to defeat your rival. after this train some more, the go back, go to the house left of where you fought your rival, go through it, then up to Victory road. Go throught the cave, then to the pokemon league. defeat the elite four ( lorelei uses ice pokemon. use lightning or grass pokemon. Bruno uses fighting and rock. use water and psychic, or flying. Agatha uses ghosts and poison. use psychic pokemon.and Lance uses dragons. use ice pokemon ).My team for this tactic was Arcanine, Pikachu, Zapdos, Raichu ( traded for it ), and Dragonite. After you defeat the elite four, you will end up back at Pallet town. heal your pokemon ( for the record ), fly to cerulean city, go up to the bridge ( you remember this, don't you? ) surf down at the left of the bridge, then get out of the water at the entrance of a cave. go through it and at the basement, you will find the hardest pokemon to capture, mewtwo ( but with the master ball, this task is easy. catch it ( don't defeat it! ) and you now have beaten the game! you can go back to the pokemon league as many times as you want to train your pokemon for fun. And if you want, you can catch all 150 or 151 ( counting mew ).
