The Yellow Version of Pokemon (Special Pikachu edition)has some new added features to the game.

If you know your way around in the blue or red versions,then don't worry about getting lost in this game because the maps and objectives are largely the same.It is programmed to look best on the Game Boy Color,but can also be used on any game boy and it will have no trouble linking up to trade or do battle with the red and blue.

CHANGES

First of all your going to have some containment problems.In the cartoon Pikachu refuses to stay in the pokeball.The game is the same way.Pikachu follows you around behind you.

Instead of starting off with a choice of Bulbasaur,Charmander, or Squirtle,Prof. Oak hands you Pikachu.

If you let Pikachu battle and treat it well it will be healthy and Happy.You can turn around to see Oikachus mood.

Your rival Gary has a whole new way to antagonize you in Yellow.Instead of choosing either Charmander,Bulbasaur,or Squirtle,he gets an Eevee.He'll show up to do battle in all the same places as in Red and Blue,but the evolution of his team will differ as your game progresses.

Of course,Ash has more than just Gary to worry about in the television show. Making the leap from the television screen to the screen on your Game Boy comes Team Rocket.Jessie and James invade your game boy to try to stop your progress through Pokemon Yellow.

One of the best changes in the Yellow is that you can finally get Charmander,Bulbasaur, and Squirltle in the game without trading with a friend.You'll find them a long the way in the game as you go on.

If you chose Bulbasaur or Squirtle at the beginning of Red and Blue,You'll more than hold your own way when you meet up with Brock.Pikachu becomes almost totally useless in the Yellow against Brocks rock type Pokemon.

Yellow's trading post in Cerulean City is different than in Blue and Red.Theirs a lady their who is looking for a responsible trainer to take care of her Bulbasaur.If your Pikachus Happy and Healthy,than you will get to get a Bulbasaur!!!

If you wander to the Unknown Dungeon in Yellow,you'll discover that it is totally new than in the Red and Blue.Mewtwo is still in their so you'll have to look even harder if you want to catch him.

Another feature that is unique to the Yellow is the Colosseum 2.Only two people with two Pokemon Yelloe game paks will be able to try this out.You can battle in the Pokecup,Pikacup,and the Petit cup.
