Get #001 Bulbasaur
Go to Cerulean City, and enter the building to the left of the Pokemon
Center. Inside is woman with a Bulbasaur, Oddish, and Sandshrew. Talk
to her, and she'll ask if you want to take care of Bulbasaur. Say yes,
and you've got it!

Get #004 Charmander
Go to Route 24 & 25 north of Cerulean City. On the far left is a
Trainer with a Charmander. Talk to him, and say yes to get Charmander.

Get #007 Squirtle
Once you complete the S.S. Anne and the Vermilion Gym, talk to Officer
Jenny. Say yes, you get Squirtle!
