The greatest trainer in the World of Pokemon used to be a guy named Lance. He trained Dratinis and Magikarps and people laughed their butts off at him. At the time, scientists started on a top secret project. The project was on a newly discovered pokemon found deep in a jungle.

Lance trained and trained. Finally he started winning. His Magikarp evolved into Gyarados and his Dratini evolved into Dragonair. He also started training an extinct pokemon named Aerodactyl for the Pewter City Museum. It was one of only two ever found. After 10 years of hard training, he had all eight badges and was heading to Pokemon League.

He had to face Giovanni, Loreli, Bruno, and Agatha. He was battling Giovanni, when one of his three Dragonairs evolved into a Dragonite. After Giovanni, Lance battled Loreli. Loreli was a srong trainer with many ice and water pokemon. He used his Gyarados and beat all but one of Loreli's pokemon, Lapras. Lapras froze Gyarados solid. He then shot out his Aerodactyl and used Hyper Beam to finish off Loreli.

Loreli admited defeat and gave Lance a freeze heal and wished him luck. Bruno was easily defeated with a thawed out Gyarados. Next was the famous trainer, Agatha. She was known for her famous Ghost pokemon.

After a long, tough battle, Lance won with his last pokemon, Dragonite at 10 HP. He had beaten the Elite Four, which in his time, seemed impossible. The Elite four booted Giovanni out and Lance was now the greatest trainer on Earth.

Two years after Lance took over as best trainer in the world, and many years after a strange experiment was conducted on a newly discovered pokemon, Lance was contacted by the head of Indigo Plateau and Professor Oak. They wanted him to search the Unknown Dungeon for the first time. No one had ever searched it before.

The Unknown Dungeon was a cave used to keep super powerful pokemon in. They wanted him to search the dungeon for an experimental pokemon they had released into the cave years before he beat the Elite Four. They had named the pokemon the discovered Mew and the one they made and released into the dungeon Mewtwo.

Lance's job was to hunt down the Mewtwo and kill it before it took over the world. Lance entered the Unknown Dungeon on May 15 at 2:35 supplied with a backpack full of supplies and an emergency kit of max potions, full restores, max revives, and a Ultra Ball to catch the Mewtwo if it was too strong to fight.

A week later Lance returned nearly dead, without Mewtwo. He explained what happened. He entered the gave and explored a little. He made a small map of the trail he took and put in his pack. He then hiked towards the river were Mewtwo was left. Over on a small island, he saw the beast. Lance got on Gyarados and Surfed to the island. Mewtwo quickly attacked Gyarados. After a short battle, Lance was out of max revives and Mewtwo wasn't phased by the battling and struck Lance down. He awoke on a the edge of the water. He went back to the island and attempted to catch Mewtwo. Mewtwo crumbled the small ball and struck at Lance. Lance escaped and exited the dungeon.

Scientists told the public Mewtwo was dead and burned the lab he was made in, which attracted fire pokemon, which now own the dark lab.
