around. The wild ones are frightened of Pikachu at first, but eventually accept him as
one of their own. Ash tries to make friends with them but ends up scarring them off.
At the river, Brock explains that these were wild Pikachu that haven't had much contact with humans. A
spying wild Pikachu falls off a branch and into the river which runs directly over a waterfall! Ash's
Pikachu jumps in to save her, but gets swept away in the current as well. The other wild Pikachus grab
hold of each other's tails to form a living chain and save the distressed Pikachus just before they go
over the edge. Pikachu survives and the wild ones congradulate him for his bravery.
As the Pikachus sing to the moon (you can hear their chant in the Sounds section), Brock mentions that
it's good for Pikachu to be here with his own kind. Ash doesn't say anything, but he thinks Brock's right.
Ash stays up all night worrying about
whether or not Pikachu should stay. A high-pitched squeal pierces the night air and awakens Brock and
Misty from their slumber. The three of them run to where the last say the Pikachus to find them
all caught under a net. As Team Rocket points out before trapping Ash and friends with a net of their
own, the net is made from all natural electricity resistant fibers which makes it impossible for Pikachu
to blast his way out. Team Rocket is at the "pika" their power as they air-lift the net away with their
balloon.
The Pikachus have their own plans as they chew their way out of the net. Ash's Pikachu keeps Team
Rocket busy as Ash and company (who just got out of their net) catches the falling Pikachus in their net.
There's one Pikachu left and Team Rocket makes a grab for it. The lunge damages the balloon's controls
and fills it up with hot air. Pikachu scampers onto the balloon and bites a hole in it. Team Rocket zooms
off and the wild Pikachus cheer on their trained hero.
Ash has come to a decision. The hardest one he ever made. He's leaving Pikachu here. It's better off this
way. Pikachu doesn't understand and Ash runs off. Memories of Pikachu flood his mind as he runs. And
remembers. And runs. And stops. Brock and Misty catch up to him and ask him what the heck he thinks
he's doing. The sun rises and a familiar shadow reaches them. They look to the sunrise.
"Pi... Pikachu?" says Ash. There stands Pikachu, with the entire tribe behind him. The wild ones cheer
him on as Pikachu runs back to his friends. He leaps into Ash's arms..how sweet. Pikachu has decided to
stay with Ash and his friends.

Episode 41 - "Paras and Parasect"
Ash, Misty, and Brock arrive in Moss Green Village, a village that is so small it doesn't even have a pokémon gym, so Ash decides he doesn't want to stop in the Village. Brock on the other hand realizes that their potion and antidote bag is empty, so the group decides to stop in this village anyway. Team Rocket see Ash and decide to sneak up on them but soon realizes that Meowth is feeling sick after Jessie feels Meowth's forehead. A mysterious person comes up and sees Meowth and calls Team Rocket terrible people. Team Rocket tells this person that they are "The Team Rocket Super Squad." She makes Meowth a medicine on the spot and gives it to Meowth. Meowth instantly falls in love with the mysterious medicine person. Ash, Misty, and Brock arrive at the Pokémart and see an old person which tries to see them a potion that cures insomnia, who turns out to be the grandmother of the same person that healed Meowth. She challenges Ash to a pokémon battle. She chooses a Paras, to battle. Pikachu tries to make friend, but Paras just runs away. She needs Paras to evolve into Parasect so she can use Parasect's mushroom to make a super miracle Potion for Pokémon all around the World. Meowth declares that he would "give up all nine lives to make her dream come true. We find put from Meowth that her name is Cassandra. James called her a Female that knows how to treat a feline. Back at the Battle, Ash tells Pikachu to purposely lose because it s for a good cause. Pikachu uses "tiny static bolt" attack which KOs Paras. Then, Ash send out Squirtle to use "Water Gun" attack but just enough to sprinkle the mushrooms a little which of course KOs Paras. Ash then send out Charmeleon who uses Flamethrower attack but misses and scares Paras away. Charmeleon has a level to high for Ash to control. Paras runs into Meowth. Meowth explains why Team Rocket must help Paras evolve. Meowth explains how he must borrow Arbok and Wheezing because they have so much experience losing. First up Arbok, who Meowth step on Arbok's tail, knocking it to the ground making an easy KO for Paras. All Paras has to do is tap Arbok, and it is an instant KO. Next up is Wheezing, Meowth swings a branch, Knocking Wheezing to the ground. All Paras has to do is tap Wheezing and it is another instant KO. Paras takes on Meowth, and taps Meowth. Meowth willingly falls down and says "Meowth, I'm a goner." Paras runs up a tree and thinks it is king of the world. Paras takes on Pikachu, and wins by grabbing Pikachu's tail and Pikachu willingly gives up. Ash sends out Charmeleon and Paras pokes Charmeleon in the stomach, then evolves into Parasect. Charmeleon then falls asleep because of Parasect's spore attack.
Episode 42 - "The Song of Jigglypuff"
As the Show fades in we find that Ash, Misty, and Brock are lost in a desert. Misty is only concerned with where
she is going to sleep at night by her statement "You don't think that were going to camp out in a place like this."
Then suddenly over the next sand dune is the town that our heroes have been so desperately searching for, Neon
Town. This town is a lot like Las Vegas in the fact that Brock states that it is open all day and all night. Ash has a
little confrontation with a local person. Because of all the bright lights, nobody gets a good nights rest, so everyone
is cranky all the time. Just for barely brushing this total stranger, Ash is involved in a small street fight which officer
Jenny quickly breaks up. Jenny, who is very close to a nervous breakdown, tells Ash and co to find a hotel for the
night. As Team Rocket arrives in town, Meowth states that he "just loves all these bright lights." The same guy
tat bumped into Ash obviously knocks into James, on purpose. They are then involved in a street fight which officer
Jenny quickly breaks up. A large woman runs right into Jessie, same story here. Meowth then says "I think we
should prepare for trouble" and as If on queue, Officer Jenny, breaks up the fight between Jessie and the large
woman. After the episode title appears, we find that it is now day, and Ash, Misty and Brock have just checked out
of their hotel. They are in astonishment that everyone in town is already awake. Almost everyone else in the frame
is involved in small street fights. Jenny quickly breaks these fight up as quickly as the other fights were broken up
earlier. After leaving Neon Town, we find Ash and company walking on a path. where at the intersection between a
few paths Misty sees a Jigglypuff on a tree stump. Misty goes in about she always wanted one. Misty sends out
Staryu and instead gets Psyduck. She quickly scolds Psyduck, and sends out the real Staryu, which she commands for
double-edge attack against the Jigglypuff. We later find out from the Jigglypuff that it can't sing. So, the
kind-hearted Group, decides to help it. Team Rocket decide to kidnap the "Jigglything" as Meowth said it, and put
all of Neon Town to sleep, then snatch all their Pokémon. This is to teach them a lesson for messing with team
Rocket. Instead of doing the usual motto, they break put into a song, that goes as follows:

Jessie tells James how he was late on the last verse. Ash send Bulbasaur and James Sends Wheezing to battle.
James commands Wheezing to perform Poison Gas Attack, then Bulbasaur's Vine Whip turns Wheezing in the other direction. Wheezing sends the Poison gas towards Team Rocket. Misty takes care of Team Rocket by having
Staryu do Water Gun out of all its arms. Misty tries to give Jigglypuff voice lessons but nothing seems to work
until. Pikachu tries to encourage Jigglypuff by singing, but Ash give Pikachu a compliment and hurts Jigglypuff's
feelings. Misty thinks to have Jigglypuff inflate a balloon to strengthen its lungs, but it back fires and the air is
forced into Jigglypuff, making Jigglypuff fly all over the Place. Brock finds some fruit to soothe Jigglypuff's throat
and it works. Jigglypuff starts a practice round. Misty tells Jigglypuff to sing its song for the group of good guys,
which leads us to our first commercial break. Jigglypuff then procedes to sing for the group and Team Rocket decides the capturing the Jigglypuff is to much work so they want to record it's song. After Their plans is unveiled, Jigglypuff
stops singing to find that Ash, Misty, and Brock have fallen asleep. Enraged, Jigglypuff puffs up with air, and procedes
to Ash's Backpack, getting a marker out. Jigglypuff then draws on Ash, Misty Brock, and Pikachu's faces.
Jigglypuff gets a good laugh and hears Team Rocket snoring. She finds them and draws on their faces too. In the mean time,
Ash and company wake up and see each other's faces. They all quickly wipe the marker off. Brock gets the idea
that maybe some of the Pokémon wouldn't fall asleep. So they send out; Squirtle, Pidgeotto, Staryu, Bulbasaur,
and Onix, but they all fall asleep. Misty gets the idea to send out Psyduck because "Psyduck is to dopy to know
whether its asleep or awake anyway." Jigglypuff then sings to Psyduck and the group thinks that it worked,
but then we find out from Misty and Jigglypuff that Psyduck was just asleep with its eyes open. Meanwhile, Team
Rocket has just awakened to find that someone has drawn on their faces. Meowth states that they have to check
to see if they got Jigglypuff on tape. What they hear, though, is just Team Rocket snoring. Brock says the Neon Town
is the perfect place because it seems that its residents do not need to sleep at all. In Neon Town, Team
Rocket brings their outdoor stage to amplify Jigglypuff's voice. Team Rocket puts in their earplugs, but to no
avail. Everyone in town loves Jigglypuff's song. After seeing everyone in town asleep, she draws on everyone's faces
except Ash and co.'s. After a good night's rest, everyone becomes nice, and even that person from the beginning of the
show apologizes to Ash. In the next scene we find James, Jessie, and Meowth gleefully walking out of town because
it is such a nice day. After seeing Ash, Misty, and Brock disappear from the sight of the path, we see
Jigglypuff, trying to follow and keep up with Ash and company.
Episode 43 - Attack of the Prehistoric Pokémon
Ash,Misty and Brock are walking and see all these diggers running. when they ask whats going on they bump into gary. Who tells them that it is the great pokemon fossil rush. He say's he is going to be the first one to dig up a pokemon fossil. Ash gets mad and says he will be the first. Gary starts digging he finds what he thinks is a fossil but it just turns out to be pokemon poop. As ash and his friends are going to get shovels they see team rocket. They over here team rocket saying they have set up bombs to blow up the crater. where the people are digging. Then they are going to go down and pick up all the pokemon fossils and sell them for money. Ash tells Misty and Brock to go warn the people about the bomb while he goes after team rocket. Ash brings out squirtle aqnd tells him to put out the flame they race off after it. Team rocket follows and takes out koffing and arbok to try to stop them. As they run the team rocket and there pokemon fall and take out ash and his pokemon. With one last chance pikachu uses thunderbolt. The bomb explode and open an entrance to a cave. When they fall rocks fall in to block the way out. They start blaming each other and notice eyes in the dark. When a lot of omantyes ,omastars,kabutos and kabutops come out. As calls out charmeleon who decides to take a nap. Ash and team rocket start running and tell their pokemon to fight them but their pokemon run to. All of the suddent the all run back into the dark. When a aerodactyl comes olut and starts after them it hits charmeleon. Then charmeleon is ready top fight but is knocked out in one hit. while they are fighting and running. Misty and Brock are trying to uncover the rocks. Brock calls out gepdude to help. They finally break though. Aerodactyl grabs ash and flies out. Pikachu and charmeleon grab a hold of aerodactyl and fly outside the hole and drop off. They don't know what to do when all the suddent charmeleon evolves into a chaizard and flies off after ash. Ash thinks Charizard relly likes him until he gets blasted with flames. Their is nothing anyone can do till Misty runs to jigglypuff and says please sing for us. Jigglypuff starts to sing. It puts everybody to sleep but charizard who plugs his ears. Aerodactyl drops ash and charizard swoops down and catches ash lands and go to sleep. Jigglypuff notices everybody asleep and draws on their faces. When they wake up they tell everybody it was a dream. As ash and his friend start to leave ash says he found an egg when he woke up. Misty and Brock say your going to break it better let me have and start to run away with it. Ash yells give it back and takes off after them.
Then back in the cave it shows team rocket singing to the pokemon and saying don't wake them up.
