Pokemon {Poke-eh-mon} is a Japanise cartoon, that hit America a few years ago. A Pokemon is a creature that has the ability to evolve, grow stronger, and use moves to defend/attack. There are 150 different types of Pokemon {actually, there are 251, but they are not officially out in America yet}. In the Pokemon world, there are people who are called, Pokemon Trainers. A Pokemon Trainer is a person who dedicates his/her life to capture, train, and/or help Pokemon. Few trainers are Pokemon Master. If you are a Pokemon Master, than you have caught all of the Pokemon, defeated all of the gym leaders, and beaten the Eleat Four. A gym leader is a Trainer that is very good at a certain type of Pokemon {rock, ground, water, phsycic, ect.} and has a gym to challenge other Trainers. There are eight gym trainers, Brock, Misty, Lutenent Surge, Sabrina, Erika, Koga, Blaine, and Giavonni. After a Pokemon Trainer has defeated a gym leader, the gym leader awards the Trainer with a Badge. The more badges you have, the more your Pokemon respect you. After you have receaved all of the eight badges, then you can move on to defeat the Eleat Four {or should I say, five}. The Eleat Four are four Pokemon Masters that you have to battle at the end of your journey. Once you have defeated them, you can move on and try to catch all of the Pokemon, and become a Pokemon Master. Here are a few other terms of Pokemon.
Pokedex: an encyclopedia for Pokemon.
Pokeball: the item to catch Pokemon with.
Great Ball: a powered up Pokeball.
Ultra Ball: stronger than a Great Ball.
