When you start to play the game, the First thing you have to do is set the time and day. Then, your mother will ask you the day of the week. Then she will give you your first item, your Pokegear. Then you must head to Professor Elm's Labratory. He will send you on an Errend and in return will give you a Pokeball of your Choice; Chickorita, a grass Pokemon, Cyndaquil, a fire Pokemon, and Totodile, a water Pokemon. Next, leave town and travel through the wild. In this area you will find Sentret, Rattata, and Pigdy during the Day and Hoothoot during the night. Train your pokemon in this area!!! When you enter Cherrygrove City, An Old man will be there. Talk to him and let him take you on a tour of the town. Afterwards, he'll give you the Map key. Next head North on route 30 to Professor Oak's House. On they way on the Gold Version, you might run into Spinarak, A rare Pokemon found only in red version. At Professor Oak's house, you get a Pokedex and a Egg. Take the Egg back to New Bark Town, your Hometown. When you leave his house, you will get a call from Professor Elm telling you to come home, something has happened. On the way in Cherrygrove city, You will run into your enemy, ???. He should be a push over. Next head home.When you get there, Officer Jenny will ask you about your enemy and you will name him. Next give Professor Elm the egg and he will keep in. After he stops talking, his assistant will give you 5 pokeballs. Next go talk to your mom. Then head back to Cherrygrove city. Next, go back on the path you went on to get to Professor Elm's house. There should be a path open off to the left where two trainers were battling. Go through that path until you get to the next town. Tomorrow I will have more on this walkthrough.
