My Picture

CAPTIVATING WARRIOR

Strong and true
my life has been blessed by you

Noble and proud
you stand alone, above the crowd

Intense and captivating
you send my heart palpitating

Charming and mesmerizing
your roguish smile, is so disarming

Seductive and alluring
you have my passions burning

Fearless and lionhearted
a peacefulness has started

Exhilarating and intoxicating
my mind you have caressed

Mighty warrior, my captivating warrior
with every breath I take, I savor
each moment with you

LONE WARRIOR

He travels these lonely roads
wishing for one sliver of hope
to shine through
Perhaps, just someone to help carry
his heavy load

Tired of the old ancient dance
that has put his heart
in a frozen trance
Black magic spinning
the lies of romance

Standing tall and proud upon the mountain peak
With his dark hair covering his shoulders
His eyes a misty green, unlike anything I've even seen
A fine warrior, searching the horizon for his dreams
How is heart aches and screams for release

The hunger for someone to understand him ... the real him
that comes from within
The proud, strong, sensitive man ... that loves with
every fiber of his being, but ...can also walk away at the first
thought of betrayal

His passions consume him, longing for the worthy one
But he hides behind his disguise of being tough and rough
Ferocious like a lion ... never letting anyone get too close

He hunts for the woman that will ignite the fire in his soul
and comfort him as they grow old
Feeding off one another, becoming equals in all they do

Lone warrior, let down your guard, look in front of you
for that love is standing right there ... grasp her hand, let her inside
And watch the joy begin being and all the old pain subside

Lone warrior, look unto the sun ... and follow the warmth and light
that does arise from it.

Lone warrior ... close your eyes, take a deep breath,
Make a wish, wipe away those tears of many years
Slowly ...carefully ...open your eyes
A golden angel before you appears ...

LION, COME HERE ...

Unseen, behind the screen
Your voice only an echo in my dreams

Closing my eyes, reaching for you
Reassuring you its not as it may have seemed

Will you let me "touch you" once again?
Or will you now, pull away and never
explore being, more than, "just friends?"

I ache to run my fingers through that wild mane
As my lips whisper ... only your name

Feel my breath against your skin
Don't hold back ... let the fire begin
Let's sway in a slow, rhythmic dance
No tap dancing, or side stepping
Just me in your arms, creating a magical art

I lie here wondering ... have the words we've woven
all been written in vain? Is trust that easy to lose?
Or can it be regained?

I feel the glint of uncertainty, radiating from your eyes
Gazing into me, causing a chill throughout my body

Lion, come here .... let me whisper in your ear
"I tell no lies, I give no empty alibis
Enfold me with your charm
Captivate me with your passion ... take away my fears
Embrace me with your words ... once again"

You gave me a gift, showed me something special
Now I ask of you .... calmly, softly,
with an intoxicating gleam in my eyes
Please, now let me .... "give it back"

TEARS OF YESTERDAY

Holding you close, opening the windows of my mind
letting you see deep inside

My soul drinks in the tears of your yesterdays
Comforting you, trying to heal your bitter sweet sorrows
I whisper no promises for a bright tomorrow
All I can say is that today, I will be your sun
Radiating thoughts of what might yet become

Your gentle understanding makes me quiver
You show it, in each and every word you deliver

The flicker of life turning into a flame of desire
I Feed off the warmth that you send
and give my tenderness back
Showing you me ... you seem to be
setting me free

Climbing higher as we go ... feeding off one another
A passion we share .... a hunger that grows
A concept that only ... we two know

Yours, in the only name I speak and you never make me feel weak
I'm starting to see the man that you are ...spread your wings
and be the only way you know how to be
Flying free....come soar with me

Closing my eyes, feeling you inside
leaning back ... trusting ...
Slowly letting go
It is in your arms that I will land ... this I know

AT LAST

I stand atop our mountain peak
Wind blowing through my hair ... the sadness
dimming against the sun's glare
Reliving those nights that the demons, did dare
follow me into my dreams

You stand there amongst the gray clouds, looming over me
Fearless, with each step closer ... I see the strength that you possess

Your out stretched wings enfold me against you
Your hand touching my face with your sweet caress
I am embraced by your loyalty and warmed by your devotion
You have a heart as big as an endless ocean

Your gentle fingers, entwine throughout my hair
Your whispered words ...telling me the things I so need to hear
Your promises of truth ... linger in the air

I feel the flood of relief ... as my crystallized tears
are released
Teardrops spreading ... against the warmth of your chest

The past anguish is slowly dissolving and being put in its place
I am happy ... I am content ... I am safe
I can close my eyes at night ...and know the demons do not dare
tread within my dreams

A hush ...a smile ...a kiss ...
Surrendering to your charms
With you, the devil no longer ... dares to hiss

Close our eyes ... relax
Safe and secure ...I curl up within your soul
And sleep a demon free sleep
At last.......

FIRESTORM

Your desire, is my fire
burning in the depths of my mind
Feeding off one another, hoping to satiate
this hunger that burns from inside

Your lascivious smile, making my
passions transpire

Your roguish charm, disarms me
taking me higher, to the point of no return

You enfold me with your passions, igniting
a flame within

Emotions raging out of control
causing an inferno between us
Blazing, raging out of control
no holding back,
Creating a climactic firestorm
within our souls

SHOW ME

Show me what's inside
Nothing to fear, nothing to hide

Open yourself up for me
let me feel your inner desires

Take me higher, let me feel your fire
Take me to the point of no retun
Watch this fervor burn

You tease me ... making me wait
You love to taunt ... Making me want

You enfold my body with your words, causing a burst
of tantalizing pleasures

Imagining your skillful touch
across my silky skin
Wondering when the dance will begin

You ...
captivate me with your honesty
compell me with your charm
Arrousing my every sensation

Piquant thoughts run through my mind
wondering what we shall find
Once you open up, and let me ... inside

HUSH

Hush ... listen to the gentle breeze
carrying your unkempt promises

Hush...
I long to hear the reassurance
in your voice once again, that
forever and always on you I can depend

Hush ... as the silence delivers me back
to all the fears that I have carried
throughout the years

Hush ... as the dawn lights the path
and I see clearly the illusion of purity
fading in the distance

Hush...
I listen to see if your lips breathe
good-bye

Hush ... as my heart hears
those silent words

Hush ...my soul does indeed cry

WITHOUT SO MUCH AS A "HI"

I see you pass by, without so much as a "hi"
Friends, you said...until the end
Why is it then,
that you never even said ... good-bye

We shared our lives and sometimes even cried
Those day's have now withered and died,
and have floated away on yesterday's tide

We shared walks through our souls
and talked about getting old
Now all those feelings have grown, oh so cold

Feelings of frustration, and aggravation
build as high as that pedestal you had put me on
Knowing that you were no where around
to catch me when I made that high fall

I stand tall, and hold my head high
but through it all, I ask myself "why?"
I wear a smile, and never frown
And when you are around,
I keep my feet on the ground
and
walk on bye ...without so much as a "hi."

For, you will never ... see that tear in my eye

FINALLY GOD CALLED

I heard his sobs coming from down the hall
He gave up, he lost it all

His body wracked with pain, he lost his only love
Things for him, would never be the same

His heart no longer sang, and the new day
no longer brought sunshine and rays of hope
I wish now, that I had found a way for him to cope

His tears seeped from every pore
From his chest, the life was torn

He lived within the confines of his loss
Refusing to look beyond the grief

His life with her was so brief
All their plans and dreams floated in the breeze

She is gone ...God called her home

His life was filled with devastation, for she was his soul

He would never love another, he would never again be whole
Day after day, year after year
he lived within a bottle of memories
Singing songs of loneliness and sadness

Never once, finding the peace or the happiness
that life could bring
He drank it all away, longing for only yesterday

Until finally ... God called him home

RADIANT

Her eyes restless ...like the deepest
pools of the ocean
Lying back, floating on the tides of blue
Gazing up at the stars in their glory
Radiantly shinning, her senses climbing
Exhilerated is her body, as the sea caresses her soul
The quietude of the oceans breeze brushing against
her skin ...her body begins to feel alive again
Waves of pleasure overcome her, as she drifts back to shore
Her stroke vibrant and carefree, as she, herself is
Aimlessly walking from the water and along the shore line
her restless eyes now calm ...and serene ...
Radiant once more ...

TWILIGHT SONG

A lone soul ... from prairie to prairie he roams
Riding with the freedom of the setting, Texas sun

With the tip of his hat ... he looks through the hues
of orange's and gold's
as the foggy mist takes hold
of the amethyst mountain peaks ...
Another cold and lonely night has begun

Searching far and wide ...even on the oceans tide
looking for that one true love
that will light up his dark skies above

As twilight begins to fade, he rests upon a weeping willow
in a meadow of opalescent violets and blues
He strums his guitar, creating a song
from his poetic prose
Wishing ... that he knew the woman's name
that belonged to his song

Resting his eyes under the starry skies
he hears the rushing waters from a nearby stream
Wondering, if he will ever live his dream

Drifting off in a sweet slumber ... he feels
the soft, Texas wind carrying her own twilight song
to his ear and it's his name that he hears as she sings along

He awakes with a twinkle in his eyes ... and a dance to his step
Knowing that his dream will be over the next horizon ...
when the mornings sun does rise

BEHIND HER CASTLE WALLS

Alone was this princess, hiding behind her castle walls
When a dark mysterious Lord appeared
and from afar
it was her name that he called

Their eyes met across the courtyard
and her heart began to beat
like the thunderous roar coming from the skies
She watched this man, shed his disguise
A shudder went through her
from her head ... down to her feet

Walking closer to her, his finger upon her chin
that was when she felt her head begin to spin

Arousing Sensations, trembling through her body
as
his lips took possession of their first kiss

The wind wrapping around them
as his fingers entwined in her golden tresses
of silk

She trailed tantalizing caresses
up and down his back
as their tongues melted as one

A passion has just begun

The rain splashing down on them
washing away the fears
Awakening her senses after all these years

With each droplet upon her chest...his tongue trailed a heated path
making her breath gasp

He spoke in baritone notes
Taking power with his words

"My Princess, fear not from me, entrust your heart to me,
I will wrap my soul around it; and keep it safe and warm"

A sob in her throat tore free, and she did not flee

"My Lord,, you have my love, you captured it like a dove
flying in the wind"

Fingers entwined as the storm enrages inside
Riding the howling winds as their love making begins
Turbulent waves of ecstasy
Teasing nibbles, bringing pleasant giggles
to their dreamy reverie

The storm subsides as they join
in a loving journey ... where no walls reside

RIVER OF FEARS

My soul aching for what was
as I dance to broken promises

My heart longing for what could be
Trying to rebuild what we had

My mind living in a world of dreams
Trust misplaced, my eyes burning so sad

My body filled with regret
As tears of emptiness plague me

Singing songs of melancholy
Holding on to waves of hope
as I watch uncertainties float
down a river of fears

Anxiety screaming inside me
struggling for air
You swear your heart is still here
with me, and you're not going
anywhere

My breath expelling sobs of caution
Burning desire deep within
Needing, pleading ...
to just believe

Bleeding Tears of Regret

Laying here, drowning in my own stupidity
Dreaming of a life that was built on lies
Heartbroken ...for you finally shed your disguise

Bleeding tears of regret ...falling from my wrists
Seeking a blissful slumber ...emptiness dragging me under

Slowly drifting ...feeling the weight lift from my body
The ache slowly subsiding ...my soul went into hiding

Never again will I feel the happiness of a new love
or the look of amazement in a child's eyes
or even a smell of the sweetest rose ...

Rushing waters enfold me, no hand to reach for me this time
I have lost my love, my soul, my reason and my rhyme
I am swimming away from the shore ...delving into another life
One where I believe will have no sadness, and no strife

No longer a mother, a lover, a friend or any other
Just being ...a soul drifting aimlessly out to sea

WHITE SATIN AND ROSE PETALS

You place me upon a bed
of white satin, covered with
rose petals of red
Sending sweet scents
to awaken our every sensation

Sipping champagne out of crystallized flutes
Feeding me fruits
of berries
in an array of colors

Tantalizing tastes
Ever slowly ...without haste
As your fingers trace the outline of my face

Kissing each finger, my thoughts do linger
on the desire I see in your eyes

Your gaze consumes me
Quickening my breath
as we make sweet love ...
a love that will last until death

We awake with the dawn ...sun streaming
through the window ...my soul screaming
feelings of such contentment
Knowing this is the way we shall waken
with the birds singing, in the early hours
of morning ...from this day on
