My Picture

SHALL WE DANCE

Look with me into love's eyes
Bond with me take hold the ties
Dance with me and share a glance
Tasting passions wild romance

Move with me as man to wife
Give with me the gift of life
Speak with me as bodies talk
Step in time this global walk

Breathe with me in words of rhyme
Hold with me the hands of time
Feel with me in sharing ways
Touching life for all our days

Live with me each passing breath
Wake with me this life of death
Hear with me the wildest tune
Flying senses to the moon.

CHILD'S EYES

The world so big through eyes so small
The ground so near to break my fall
The dog so fierce, the horse so high
The day so long can't wait till nigh
My teeth fall out and new ones grow
There's lots of things I still don't know
The mums and Dads are very clever
They have been around forever
There's lots of things I mustn't touch
Except my rabbit in the hutch
Why a hutch and not a house?
I feel so small just like a mouse
Don't touch this and don't do that!
Clean your teeth and wear your hat!
My eyes are small but I can see
The world is big, give it to ME!

NAUGHTY BUT NICE

She enters the room with her aura of confidence
male rivals preen, radiating green lights of want
she caresses her thighs,
smoothing the sensual garments over her pulsating body
hearts racing to win, palms sweat
head tossed with the stroke of her hair
mouth ajar as she moistens her lips
salivating the need to be fulfilled
a slow sideways glance
to view the wicked objects of desire
her eye as the bait, hooks into the body of want
visual contact extends to an intimate gaze
pupils dilate indicating the need for touch
at last the vision of beauty nears her lips
ecstasy overcomes as she tastes the sensual silk
of that ... cream cake.

TOUCHING LOVE

We meet with our eyes
and give in to our longing
for touch
We speak with our hearts
our breath
without touch
We taste with our bodies
exploring our pleasure
with touch
We give with our sharing
the best that we have
and touch
We feel with the fire
within our hearts
don't touch
We listen with our minds
to the silence of feeling
so touch
We hope with our dreams
of living and being in touch.

SHIPWRECKED

Storms exploding out of our being
tossed overboard blinded by seeing
losing our destiny cast in the ocean
death my fate engrossed in emotion

Limbs aching heavy, dragged in a fashion
fighting against raging seas of passion
sink with the desperate hope of finding you
silent surface in want of breaking through

Waves cruelly crash washing tears away
screams silenced by the need to breathe and pray
clearing eyes unbelieving of a distant light
new strength flows for this mystical sight

Washed up adrift absorbing new air
warm brightness a paradise to share
velvet grains caressing teasing the hand
stinging eyes open to the vision of land

The long awaited touch of your calm
take me and hold me in safety's palm
exploring our pleasure as wildly we dance
rescued by love on this isle of romance.

WOMAN

Born of a woman unseen
changed from a child into this
shaped transformed by the gene
self conscious aware of the kiss

The soft warm velvety skin
sensual one of a kind
mortal complete with the sin
of the sexual thoughts of the mind

The intimate feelings of touch
caress entice your lips
the attraction becomes too much
the want and beauty it grips

This body a home for the child
a shelter to house the seed
a framework of love so wild
and breasts that offspring shall feed

this figure of beauty works on
obsessed with preserving the look
the fresh firm flavour has gone
a next chapter of life in the book

The frame now is frail and dim
separates body from mind
an effort for every limb
each woman through life will find

This body of mine a shell
a blanket over my soul
the carnal form can tell
I am one complete and whole

CIRCLE OF LIFE

Where does it start, show me the end
a world is so round, the circle my friend
the shape of the globe, the form of the sun
the fullness of moon, my story's begun

The roundness of belly, the birth of my head
seed from the ball, the breasts which I fed
a half circle smile, the centre of love
the cycle of life from the halos above

Semi round rainbows, a square floppy disc
my body forms whole surrounded by risk
the girth of the family, the link in the chain
round window eyes to see you again

Spinning top hearts and dizzy romance
wheel of good fortune, social class dance
And now to the ring, the solid love band
I jump through your hoop to a roundabout land

Life is so round, death is too square
corners so sharp, the illness unfair
the rectangle coffin, a long straight face
look to the sun and life's circle embrace.

ROSE

A temporary treasure
for a moment of pleasure
buds bursting new birth
coloured kisses of earth
fragile porcelain petal
stems of softest metal
gentle sharpness of thorn
weeping clear dew of morn
blanket leaves snugly surround
the colours of names abound
tissue paper perfection
blown in every direction
ovary protected and hid
bees hovering to bid
caressing aromas so sweet
the vase becomes her defeat.

RAINDANCE

I danced in the rain and smiled through the tears
I saw a new rainbow collapsing my fears
I sang with the birds a different life song
I jumped in the puddles to stamp out the wrong
I twizzed the umbrella in figures of eight
I cupped my hands collecting my fate
I kissed the splashes of hope on my lips
I cuddled the clouds to squeeze out the drips
I asked the sun to come out and play
I woke my new life to start a new way.

TOUCHING DEATH

I don't mind if I die
it's peaceful here
surrounded by love
my thoughts are clear

I don't mind if I die
I'm resting in care
the hurt's gone now
so do not despair

I don't mind if I die
I'll leave it to fate
kiss me and love me
it's not too late

I don't mind if I die
you'll be alright
till death us do part
hold onto me tight

I don't mind if I die
I'm ready and free
to leave this behind
take nothing but me

I don't mind if I die
no worries or fears
show me your face
dry me your tears

I don't mind if I die
asleep in my head
I'm willing to die
but I won't be dead.

CRY AND BE HAPPY

Tears are the most wonderful things
the droplets are filled with so much
they find the pain let secrets out
reach out with intention to touch

These tears that stream over the cheeks
they tumble the suffering away
refreshing and washing the pain
drip dry, we will start a new day

And when the tears are all cried out
the calm will come after the storm
when we allow the hurt to go
we can live our life to the norm

A splash of hope falls from the eye
to say we are feeling so low
and when we're done we now can say
with calm we're allowing to grow.

LOVE AND BE LOVED

Love and be loved
Give and be given
Please and be pleased
Thank and be thanked
Care and be cared for
Help and be helped
Choose and be chosen
Like and be liked
Accept and be accepted
Respect and be respected
Miss and be missed
Need and be needed
Want and be wanted
Free and be freed

But.......

Do, not be done to
Have, not be had
Take, not be taken
Win, not be won
See, not be seen
Change not be changed
Drink, not be drunk
Keep, not be kept
Die, not be dead.

BEAUTY IS.....

the love inside
which cannot hide
a cloudless sky
a new-born cry
crisp white snow
a warm glow
a shining star
the difference we are
the truth we hear
when you are near
a comforting hug
warm and snug
a guiding hand
a peaceful land
a free growing flower
peace and power
a grand old oak
and gentle folk
soft kind words
and singing birds
a sea of blue
and morning dew
a smile from you
will see me through.

LIVE AND LOVE LIFE

Look for the good and see the best
give with both hands all of the rest
touch with our hearts and feel the same
learn of life's experience and pain

Feed on the purest fruits of the earth
drink of the fresh spring water's birth
shine as bright as the midday sun
wake up your new day has begun

Sing with the birds of the morning air
dance as the wind without a care
walk as tall as the highest tower
talk with our minds of peace not power

Rest our bodies and minds with calm
sleep with our dreams in safety's palm
smile as wide as the deepest blue ocean
share our sorrow and cry with emotion

Love of ourselves and who we are
loving each other from near and far
love all of life and what she can give
loving the world we then start to live.

ARE YOU THERE?

You're out there somewhere, yet here in my heart
a world full of miles shall keep us apart
You're out there somewhere, yet here in my mind
the closeness we feel the distance unkind
You're out there somewhere, yet here in my being
smiling a smile, your face without seeing
You're out there somewhere, yet here in my space
feeling so warm without an embrace
You're out there somewhere, yet here in my dream
writing and talking, love being the theme
You're out there somewhere, yet here in my living
one day we'll meet all smiling and giving.

SOULS MATE

Two of a kind
joined in the mind
sharing the soul
giving, our goal
life pains connect
with care we protect
speak no advice
emotions entice
feelings make sense
calm yet intense
acceptance we hear
removing the fear
words ever flow
tears we can show
the love that we see
allows us to be.

OUR LOSS

Our child has left us, taken by death
we've lost part of ourselves, our breath
we did have a dream and now a nightmare
we're learning that life and death are not fair

She was life and hope, she was a big smile
she was loving and beautiful, small and fragile
she was our flesh, we'd waited so long
and now our world has all gone wrong

Time cannot heal the gap left behind
we cannot replace her, not even in mind
nothing can fill our empty despair
our child has gone, our hope and our care

Death cannot take away what we've had
the happiness, the joy, the good and the bad
the laughing, the crying, the beauty and love
the precious life memories are kept up above

If you lose a child before she is grown
remember the words you are not alone
don't look for answers and never ask why
there isn't a reason, live on we must try.

Written by Deborah, with beautiful memories of Rachel.

I LOTS OF THINGS YOU

I hold you with untiring all surrounding arms
I receive you without question and with upturned palms
I shower you with sparkling drops of morning dew
I hear you in silence when words become few
I touch you so softly as whispers on a flower
I feel you inside turning weakness to power
I trust you completely with precious things of me
I see you in words pure and flowing free
I find you smiling rainbows smothering my need
I understand you as like minds talk become freed
I miss you with a longing deep inside my heart
I reach you joining destiny in living apart
I explore you with heightened senses in words
I caress you with stillness as wings of humming birds
I give you my forever and unconditional care
I keep you as treasure so precious and rare
I lay you softly gently warming on golden sand
I build you bridges reaching out take my hand
I need you as each passing breath in my life
I join you to take away all worry and strife
I rest you quietly drifting troubled clouds far away
I kiss you tenderly longing to keep this special day
I
You
I lots of things you

THE REASON

Scraping for a reason in the dark
where living had left its mark
loved for what they made her
a tiny insignificant blur
beauty being the theme
adored to the extreme
for her external, not eternal beauty
doing whatever, because its her duty
silently screaming to be let out into the light
of which she became so bright
Then, time turned the pages to the fresher leaves
to be rid of the web that he weaves
Yet, she continued to hurt with the gift of giving
striving to perfect the art of living
she found a vision to be planned
where hate and confusion are banned
she had been given the gift of herself
picked from life's fairer shelf
truth and hope that could set her free
as she journeyed through eternity
gathering the giving
loving the living
she found the truth and her way
standing tall in the light of her day
worries and pain no longer
with each word and hour becoming stronger
each new smile became the horizon of a new land
treading softly on golden sand
she was given a voice touching lips to speak
and wings of love to surround her when weak
touched, so that she could touch
the skies she had found so much
she walked to the edge of her universe
becoming her own tender nurse
calling her name, and found she was there
like an answer to a prayer
she built a bridge to span her ocean
to realise dreams and feel the emotion
She found the reason for her
For the reason was her.
