My Picture

HE WAS THERE ALL THE TIME

My friend, I wonder where you've been
When He was nailed to that rugged cross?
Dear friend, how couldn't you have seen
When He suffered and died as a loss?

Where are you waiting for, dear friend
He did call your name long before
It was His Love until the bitter end
as He sacrificed His inner core

Didn't you hear His cry so loud
When He was forsaken, and left alone?
Didn't you see His hand reaching out
To save your soul, your skin and bone?

Come now to Him and grasp His Hand
Allow Him to be your friend and Lord
Let Him make straight that which is bent
And He'll provide you with new support

It is never too late, to follow in His lane
This time, be willing to surrender your ALL
Bring Him all your cares and daily pain
Come to Him and answer His call!

PRICELESS THINGS

Life holds so many priceless things

The falling rain, the wind that sings

Each star on a high, a big full moon

And sunbeams dancing in your room

The river as it rushes on

A sunset when day is gone

No wealth can buy a mountain tall

These priceless things belong to all

An autumn tree lends beauty rare

With leaves piled deep most everywhere

As nature wears a glowing smile

to make each day a day worthwhile

Could anything be quite as dear

As laughing children that we hear

The gift of friendship that is ours

The miracle of growing flowers

Each magic moment, treasured time

These priceless gifts are

yours and mine

LOVE

Love, they say is patient,
Love, they say is kind
It sees beyond the faults,
For love, they say, is blind.

Love does not diminish
Or rust and fade with years
But gains its strength from time
Laughter, joy and tears.

Love is God's own gift to us
A present from above
He gives us peace, He gives us joy,
But first He gives us love.

NEVER

Never say I love you
If you really don't care
Never talk about feelings
If they aren't really there
Never hold my hand
If you are going to break my heart
Never say you are going to
If you don't plan to start
Never look into my eyes
If all you do is lie
Never say hello
If you really mean good bye
If you really mean forever
Then say you will try
Never say forever
Cause forever makes me cry

Live by your own values.
Others may think they know best for you,
but you're the one
who has to live with the consequences of your actions

IF YOU STAND VERY STILL

If you stand very still in the heart of the woods,

you will hear many wonderful things--

the snap of a twig and the wind in the trees

and whir of invisible wings,

If you stand very still in the turmoil of life

and wait for the voice from within you will

be led down the quiet pathways of wisdom

and peace in a mad world of chaos and din.

If you stand very still and hold to your faith

you will get all the help that you ask.

You will draw from the silence the things that

you need -- hope and courage and strength

for your task.

A PLACE FOR ME

There is a special place in life,
That needs my humble skill,
A certain job I'm meant to do,
Which no one else can fulfill.

The time will be demanding,
And the pay is not too good
And yet I wouldn't change it
for a moment -- even if I could

There is a special place in life,
A goal I must attain,
A dream that I must follow,
Because I won't be back again.

There is a mark that I must leave,
However small it seems to be,
A legacy of love for those
Who follow after me

There is a special place in life,
That only I may share,
A little path that bears my name,
Awaiting me somewhere.

There is a hand that I must hold,
A word that I must say,
A smile that I must give
For there are tears to blow away.

There is a special place in life
that I was meant to fill.
A sunny spot where flowers grow,
upon a windy hill.

There's always a tomorrow and the
best is yet to be,
And somewhere in this world,
I know there is a place for me.

EACH DAY IS BORROWED

Live your life as if there
is no tomorrow,
Don't go through life
with hate or sorrow.

Don't spend your days
with a frown,
Even if everything around you
seems to be falling down.

Keep your head
up high,
For all you can do
in life is try.

If things don't work
and make you blue,
Just keep smiling
no one said it was because of you.

Just remember each day
is borrowed,
So live your life as if
there is no tomorrow.

TOMORROW

Tomorrow will forever be
A day I most look toward

The adventure of a new beginning
And a time not yet explored
Each day is different than the last
And offers something new
So walk a path less traveled
And get a different view
Tomorrow is the hope for more
Than what you have today
A journey through a time unknown
For whatever comes your way
Tomorrow is the future
Take time to breathe new air
Then stop and smell the flowers
Along the way somewhere
Tomorrow brings just what it will
It’s not your choice to make
Embrace it though with optimism
And, of it, do partake
It is a time to start afresh
With the coming of the dawn
Tomorrow has become today
And yesterday is gone

HAND

she was born on that most holy day,
a bundle of love made from the lord's clay.
steady to her feet as she would stand,
trying to walk, holding my hand.
with each tiny step she'd move further from me,
soon growing up to be wise and free.
i prayed she would not grow too fast,
to remember her family and times past.
leaving my home to sing her own song,
she'd reach for my hand, but not for long.
only with a call would i hear her voice,
strong and confident, sure of her choice.
now i am here on my last bed,
a time to lie and rest my weary head.
when out of the dark comes the angelic band,
and there sits my daughter, my beloved daughter,
holding my hand.
