From the North, South, East and West
I hear a voice calling and wooing me near
I try to shut it out with great force
Why? Maybe because of my inner fear
It's telling me to get out, get up and move on
To a place where my virtue will be recognised
And where I can be wholesome, free, and strong
The saviour of the people I longed to be
But never took a moment to look at who's saving me
Helped those in trouble who've never asked for assistance
I could see my soul leaving me and being destroyed in the distance
Wondered why they were never grateful at all
Picked up the pieces before they could even fall
Answered immediately before the mercy call
Out there somewhere a foe needs a friend
A spirit needs healing
And a broken heart needs to mend
Unknown acquaintance I am yet to meet
Call from anywhere and I will move to the beat
Whenever you wish, I can be there
Call me, I'm listening
But please be purposeful, be clear.
From now on I'll loosen my mask
Only if you ask.
