So you want to know how we made our buttons on the side. First, you need to know how we got these eyes UNDERNEATH our text. Here's the TRICK!!
1) Select a field to work on
2) Click on Field Styles (top menu)
3) Click on Background Image
4) Select a background image
5) Adjust the Tiling
To get buttons on the side you need the TOC Wizard. The TOC is Max Pages Table of Contents. We're not sure why they call it TOC. Anyway, it's the links section on the side. Only now they let you put it on top and on bottom as well. Here's what WE DID!
1) Click on TOC Wizard
2) Set Decorated as the TOC style (be sure to update)
3) Click on a Field in the Sample TOC (right side of display)
Every TOC element is a field that you can modify to suit your needs.
4) Click on Field Styles (top menu)
5) Click on Background Image
6) Select a background image
Play around with the TOC fields until you get them looking how you want. We usually click on View Site (top menu) to see how things are going. If the TOC "synchronize" options are checked, you change ALL fields in a group by changing any member. So you can re-do your entire TOC in minutes.
Good Luck!!
