| Writing and Posting your Chapter Tips |
NPCs are Non Playable Characters. They are main characters in the
Pokemon TV series. You are allowed to use NPCs to your liking as long
as they (A) are not killed off; (B) are not in use with another
character in another location. For instance, if a writer is using Ash
and Misty as NPCs in Viridian City and your character is in a different
location, Ash and Misty are unavailable as NPCs until you go to Viridian
City or it's stated that Ash and Misty have left Viridian City or it is
just a flashback for your character.
Other Original characters also follow under the rule of NPCs. Members
that have already three characters and want a character that only want
to help the storyline of their main character may create NPC's. If you
want a small character for a short time and let them off for someone's
use and not write any chapters for them mainly they are valid as NPC's.
Players with only one or two main characters may create NPC's too.
No use of other players NPC's and main characters without their
permission. See below for details.
The idea of the Pokemon World RPG is not only to write chapters but to
interact with others. When 2 or more characters are in the same
location, you can choose to co-write with each other. A co-write is a
joint chapter between writers. Send an e-mail or ICQ, AIM, Yahoo, or
other messangers to the other person in question. Arrange what you need
to do from there. If you totally bombed your chapter, and that happens
to everyone at least once, feel free to post the rewrite to the mailing
list and edit your post on your own board. If it's trivial stuff such
as missed spelling or a few grammar errors here and there, just edit
your board post with your revised chapter.
If you write chapters you can write OOC messages on top of your
chapters or on the bottom. If you co-write post the chapter Name and the
writers' names and the chapter number for each person. Not all members
are on their same numbered chapter. Note: There can be chapters called
preludes, interludes, and so on.
Posting Chapters
First, please subscribe to the mailing list. The address for the
mailing list is pokenation@listbot.com. Click here...

Join our mailing list!
To post chapters, send an e-mail to the mailing list inlcluding
your chapter. Please send chapters as plain text. To do so, just copy
your entire chapter and paste it to the body of an e-mail. Please state
your character's location in the beginning of the chapter or on the
e-mail subject. Please send in text form. (If your browser sends e-mail
as HTML automatically, well, that can't be helped much.) Posting
URLs leading to your next chapter is A-OK.
If you wish to use italiacs, bold font, underline, or other HTML
fancy (different font, etc), please include the tags yourself in the
chapter. Also, no spamming the mailing list for stuff other than
chapters if it can be helped. If you need to make an announcement to
everyone, that's what the message board is for.
When you send a chapter into the mailing list have it as below:
Subject Area: Character Name Chapter Chapter#: "Chapter Name"
(i.e. Dai Chapter 10: "Pokémon")
Body Area:
Character Name Chapter Chapter#: "Chapter Name"
(i.e. Dai Chapter 10: "Pokémon")
Location: City, Town, Route, etc. etc.
(i.e. Location: Cinnabar Island)
Body:
(i.e. The Whole Story)
To get your own board post in the first post forum first! Very Important to receive your own archive!
When you post it on your board do the exact thing. If it is too long
for the subject line just place the Chapter number and name. If
you need more space for your story just reply to the message with the rest of the
story. If you want to put it on your own pages and make the message link
to your stories that is okay too. |
