Tips on Creating a Character

You may join up to a maximum of three characters. They could be a
variety of Protagonist, Antagonists, or Neutral Characters.

There are three major types of characters used in this game -
protagonists, antagonists, and neutral characters, all of which must
exist for a story to take place. Here is a brief description of each
kind of character:

Protagonist - Protagonist characters are the good guys, or the heroes.
Protagonist characters will most likely be Pokémon trainers, but don't
have to be - it is up to the player to decide what kind of protagonist
they create. Just as long as the character is a main character that
interacts with the others, it is valid. Examples of protagonists from
the actual Pokémon story include Ash, Misty, and Brock.

Antagonist - Antagonist characters are the bad guys, or the villians.
Any character that is somehow a threat or problem for the protagonists
is a valid antagonist character. Examples of antagonists from the actual
Pokémon story include Team Rocket.

Neutral Characters - Neutral characters or players who wish not to get
on either side of Antagonist or Protagonist. They do not wish to be evil
or completely good. Examples of Netural Characters are Gary. Gary does
not steal and do evil as Team Rocket but does not do good and help
things in need as Ash, Misty, and Brock do.

Players cannot make their characters be the actual characters from the
Pokémon series. That doesn't mean these characters will not play
prominently into stories within the game, however. The original Pokémon
cast characters may be used by all players of the game, but must be
role-played to act like themselves and not be directly related to the
players. These characters will be used as NON PLAYABLE CHARACTERS
in the game.

All players using the original Pokémon cast characters in their posts
MUST use their American names. It would get too confusing in a game like
this if half the players used one set of names, and half the players
used the other set, which is why I must make this rule. So why not use
the Japanese names? Although Pokémon originated from Japan I expect
most members to be more familiar to the American names and I expect that
a higher percentage of the members would be American. If I am wrong in
any part I will change this rule.

Below is the list of names for the main characters translated from
Japanese to American if you are more familiar with the Japanese names.

Kasumi- Misty
Takeshi- Brock

For the set of Pokémon names in German, French, Japanese, and English E-mail Dai below.

If you have any more translation please e-mail them to Dai Lien by
clicking here!

You may not apply with any Pokémon that is basic and won't evolve! EVEN if they evolve in the Gold/Silver editions! You may only apply with gold/silver Pokémon that are basic! You may have up to second evolution if they are in the 151 mark! The list is Pokémon you may not catch in your Chapters!

Dragonite, Mewtwo, Mew, Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres, Lugia, Houou, Serebii, and more when I get their names which I already have!

If you would like to join as a Poke'mon which will most likely not to
be accepted e-mail me above and the Poke'mon you would wish to go by and
your name as the Poke'mon. When you write your chapters you will not be
able to communicate with humans for you are a Pokemon and only
communicate with other Pokemon. So co-writing is harder if you are a
Pokemon with a Character. You also have to translate everything from the
Poke'mon's language{i.e. Pikachu said, "Pika Pi!"(Ash!)}. You may not
enter your Pokemon as a talking Pokemon as Team Rocket's Meowth. You may
use him as a translater in your story but do not make it where Meowth
had nothing to do with your character and just somehow got pulled in to
translate.

All characters must act within human limitations. There should be no
"perfect" characters. They cannot be super powerful, have a lot of
special skills or an outrageous number of Pokémon, or never mess up or
lose. No characters are invincible - they will all win sometimes, lose
sometimes, and make mistakes, just like real people do. Any character
bios received that suggest a character outside of human limitations will
be discarded. Also, any characters acting as a "power gamer" during
their posts will be asked to stop, and if they don't, they can be
removed from the game. The reason for this is because people who play in
such a way ruin the game for everyone else.

The same applies for Pokémon characters. No Pokémon should be extremely
powerful to a point that it is "perfect" and invincible. Not like the
game, Pokémon can use all their moves and tm's and hm's availible to
them.

If a member quits then that character is turned into a NPC! The
chapters are left behind to show the personality of the character...if
someone would like to join as an NPC that was not an original Poke'mon
character from the show they may with the NPC's owner agreeing!
