Here is what Dragon Balls are.....
...No No, If your new to the show dragon balls arent balls off of dragons there more like mystical object summoned by the protector of the earth. On planetNamek was the huge Dragon he could grant three wishes when you have all 7 dragon balls.
The earth dragon is kind of the same but can only grant 1 wish with all 7 dragon balls but couldnt bring back dead people or kill people like the planet Namek dragon.The dragon balls on planet Namek are 3 times as big as earths dragon balls.
