How to get a Missingno ?

Trade with a trainer in the game then fly to Cinnabar Island. There surf up and down the right side of the island. The game will pause for four seconds while the screen is black, then you fight a homely pokemon named Missingno at level 80.

Item duplication

Do the Missingno cheat and put the item to be duplicated in the 6th position from the top. After battle it will have a weird character followed by a number that means you have around 150 of them, but you can only duplicate it if there is 99 or less. Rare candies, pp ups, tms and nuggets are all good uses for this code.

How to Get into the Cave in Cerulean City

To get into the Cave you must beat the Elite Four but don't fight Gary, Use an Escape Rope and exit Vertigo Plateu. Fly to Cerulean City and go up past the 5 challengers and go left, surf down the edge of the land and the sea and go right down to the bottom and the man in front of the cave will be gone and go in.

Celadon City Slot Tip

All of the slot machines have different odds, which change every time. Play each machine 4 times, and if it hits 2 or more, then stick with that one, because it's probably hot. If the slow machine forces you really close to a 777 or Bar Bar Bar it will probably give you one or the other soon.

Cut Down Grassy Areas

Once you get the HM "cut", your pokemon can cut down grassy areas. Use "cut" and it will cut a two by two area. Wild Pokemon will not attack you in the area you cut.

Easy Level Gain

To easily gain experience, simply switch the Pokémon you want to train with the top Pokémon on your list. When you go into battle the Pokémon will pop out. You can then switch to another Pokémon. Once you win the battle the beginning Pokémon and the fighting Pokémon will both gain experience points.

Fight Land Creatures in Water

To fight creatures that normally live on land in water, go to the water around Cinnabar Island or Seafoam Islands (The only place you can be randomly attacked while swimming.) Swim along the shore of any island and you will fight land creatures. (You have to swim on a place where the square is half land and half water.) Instead of fighting a set group of monsters in the water, you actually fight monsters from the last place you were. So to get safari zone monsters, you need to go to the section of the safari zone with that monster, let your time run out, then go to the coast. Using this trick you can catch Kangaskhan, Scyther, and Tauros.

Get Mewtwo

After you have gotten all eight of your badges you need to go beat the pokemon league. The credits will roll, then the menu pops up again. DO NOT RESET THE GAME!!!! Go to Cerulean City, then go north to the brige where you faced 5 trainers before the path to Bill's house. Turn left and there will be a large area of water. Surf until you get to a cave. You will find Mewtwo in that cave.

Get Omanyte, Aerodactyal and Kabuto

To get Aerodactyal and Omanyte or Kabuto you must first collect two out of three items. In Mt. Moon, before the exit, there is a guy you have to fight. If you when, you get the choice of two fossils. The one on the left is the Dome Fossil, which gives you Kabuto. The one on the right is the Helix Fossil, which gives you Omanyte. Go back to Pewter City, and cut the bush near the Museum. Go through the back door and speak to the guy near the sphere. He'll give you Old Amber, which gives you Aerodactyal. To get these extinct pokemon, you most beat Koga in Fushcia City and get HM05 in Safari's Zone's secret house. HM05 teaches Surf, in which you can ride a water pokemon. Go back to Pallet after getting HM05 and the soul badge. Surf down the water way south of pallet until you reach Cinnibar Island. Enter the building to the left of the pokemon center. Proceed right until you reach the last door. Enter the door and speak to the man at the top. Give him either the Helix fossil, Dome Fossil or Old Amber. Leave, re-enter and he'll give you the corresponding pokemon.

Get Rapidash

First off, there are no wild Rapidash. None. Zilch. Zip. To get a Rapidash you must get a Ponyta from the abandoned warehouse in Cinnabar Island and then raise it to level 40. At that time it will start to evolve into the fastest pokémon of the world. Rapidash!

Hidden Pokémon

There are three pokémon that are hidden in the game. The pokémon are Zapdos, Mortles, and Artincuno. Zapdos can be found in the Power Plant by Cerulean City. Go on route 9, the area near the Rock Tunnel which you needed Flash for. Make sure you have the SURF abilty. Once you have surf go to the area where Route 9 ends. Go to the water and use surf. Keep going down and you'll see an opening where the rocks brek to open land, go on that and you'll see a big building. Go in there a keep walking around untill you see a bird pokémon standing there. Save your game and then fight the bird. Capture it, then its on too Fuchsia City! If you have fly go to the Fuchsia City gate on the left. You'll see a few little jumpable cliffs. Go to the edge of the water and use surf. Keep going left and you should see some islands. Go in the cave on the islands. You must have strength to get this next bird. Once in the cave find you way through the cave pushing all the rocks down the holes. This is important because you need to stop the current flow down below in the cave. Once you find you way to another bird pokémon, do the same as before. This is going to be Articuno. The final pokémon is Moltres, who an be found once you have all eight badges. After you have all the badges go to Victory Road at the Pokémon League. Make you way through the cave and you should see another bird pokémon. Repeat the same steps as you did for the other pokémon. NOTE: These pokémon aren't hard to see. They just stand there waiting. Be sure to save before you fight them as they only appear once in the game.

How to Defeat Sabrina - Saffron City Gym

When you enter the Saffron City gym you'll see a warp next to a trainer. Step into it. You'll appear in another room full of warps and a Trainer. Step into the warp on your left. Then step into the warp below you. Then step into the warp on your left. And then, step into the warp on your left. Once done that, you'll come in to a room with one warp and that's the one your standing on. Now talk to the trainer in the room, and get ready to defeat Sabrina. Here are the Pokemon she will use:
Kadabra - L38

MR. MIME - L37

Venomoth - L38

Alakazam - L43

These are all phsycic Pokemon and very powerful. Your best bet against these guys is a Venusaur or any other grass-type Pokemon. Use your Razor Leaf if you have a Venusaur. If you win you'll recieve her Marsh Badge which will ensure any Pokemon up to L70 will obey you. You'll also get a TM46.

Raise Your Monsters to Level 100 - Japanese Version

To make your monster level 100 in the Japanese version of the game, do this:

go to the 7th item in your Tools. Hit select. Get into a fight. Hit select next to an attack you dislike. It will change. (Note monster must have all 4 attack spaces filled.) Win the fight. Monster will become level 100 and will go to the next stage of its life if it has one. NOTE: It will not change if you use a Stone to make it change.

Secret Coins

At the Game Corner there are secret coins lying around. You can get these coins by walking around and pressing the A button.

Snorlax Cheat

Some people think Snorlax can only be caught with an ultra ball. But there is another way. 1: Get Snorlax's health as low as possible then Capture him. 2: Throw the regular PokeBall then hold down and B.

Starting Monster Tip

The best monster to choose when you have to pick one at the start of the game is the Bulbasaur because he, unlike the other two, is a duel type pokemon (grass and poison) and will do best against the first few monsters.

Stone and Trade Evolution

Some Pokémon will only Evolve when they have been traded. They are:

Before = After

Graveler = Golem

Some Pokémon don't Evolve till you give them a Stone. They are:

Get Your Diploma

To get your DIploma in the game...complete your pokedex getting all 150 entries, then go to the Game Freak Building and talk to the guy on the second floor (The guy that's not on a computer), if you completed your pokedex, he will give you your diploma.

1st-fly to Viridian and talk to the old guy who shows you how to catch a weedle.When he asks you if you're in a hurry respond no.Then watch him catch a weedle. After he shows you how,take the item you want 99 of and make it 6th in your list.fly to Fushia City. Use surf and surf on the coast of the seaform.Don't get off.Surf untill you find a pokemon called M'.defeat him and your sixth item will have 99.

How to get Missingno

Note: This may ruin your battle screen. I am not responsible if anything happens to your saved file and if you don't want to take the chances don't attempt to capture this Pokémon. If you have beaten the elite four and you waqnt to keep your hall of fame in mint condition, do not even try to run into this Pokémon because it ruins your Hall of Fame!

First you have to trade Pokémon with a person in Cinnabar Research Lab. Then use surf on the the right side of the island when you pokemon looks like it is half on land and half on water. Sooner or later you will run into a Pokémon named Missingo. Although he is at lvl.80 dont use a strong Pokémon because his defense is very weak. Just take away half of it's meter and put it to sleep. Throw a ultra ball and you should be able to catch it!!

Catching Pokémon

When you attemp to capture a Pokémon press UP+B at the same time right after you throw a ultra ball or great ball. This will make the ultra ball or great ball to act as a master ball and therefore making the Pokémon easier to catch!!

Clone Pokemon

You need a friend for this. Trade the pokemon to be cloned and have you friend get a pokemon they dont care about. Trade them, and make sure the person getting the weak and common pokemon can see the other's screen. When the reciever of the good pokemon's screen says "waiting", turn off the Game Boy that's getting the bad pokemon. When the other one says trade completed, turn that one off too. When you turn the games back on, you should both have the powerful pokemon, but the weak Pokemon will be lost. Warning! This could delete a saved game or your Pokemon!

Go to sleep!.....OK wake up now!

If you have a pokemon who has Rest or if you can get tm44, your pokemon can restore all his\her hit points (HP), in a span of 2 turns! Simply use Rest during battle (the pokemon will fall asleep), then during your next turn, play the Poke Flute (Obtained when you save Mr. Fuji from the tower in the Pokemon Tower) your pokemon will wake up ready to go!

Moon Stones

There are five Moon Stones, three of which are visible, two of which are not.
1) In the upper-lefthand corner of the first floor of Mt. Moon.
2) In the basement of the game corner.
3) In the bottom-right corner of Route 2 (CUT).
4) In Mt. Moon, before the supernerd's platform, there is a corridor 4 spaces long and 1 space wide, go
to the end of it and press A and poof! you have a Moon Stone.
5) In the Pokemon Mansion on Cinnabar Island, go up to the right side of one of the pillars on the
right-hand side near the entrance hit A and it will say you found a Moon Stone.

Unlimited chances to catch rare Pokemon

Did you ever run into one of those Pokemon that you can only catch once? Here is a good trick to get as many shots as you want to catch those Pokemon! First ,find a rare Pokemon such as a Mewtwo. Then, right before you go into battle with it, save the game at that point. Finally, you can battle the Pokemon without worrying that you didn't catch it. If you screw up and you make it faint, just stop where you are and shut off the game.Then you can turn it back on, select continue and presto! You should be saved right before getting into battle with the Pokemon!

Phantom PC

Go to Celadon City and make your way to the motel. go to the far right wall and make ash look north and he be in the middle square. Press A and What's this? OHMYGOSH!!!! a Ghost computer!! That's right, a Ghost PC Go to Celadon City, then go south until you are by the Alley where the Game Corner is. Walk EAST until you are standing next to a bush. CUT the bush down and go SOUTH to the first building to the WEST.... this is the Motel. Enter the Motel and walk NORTH until you hit the shelf, then walk EAST until you hit the wall, YOUR STANDING ON THE PHANTOM PC!! Now walk DOWN 2 spaces, the walk UP 1 space. Now press A and select something to do!

It's wierd, but you can fish in statues! Simply use the rod! Sometimes you can find rare water Pokemon this way.

Even the Odds at Game Corner

In the casino above the guy with the glasses that you usually find in gyms is a slot machine with great odds. The way I got a Porygon was simple but still long. Save the game when you hit the jackpot After a while the game is fixed and you will either get multiple wins, or hit the jackpot- doing that you eventually start to win several hundred at a time. By hitting the a button rapidly it sets a pattern to make sure you now when the jackpot comes up- the slot machine starts to slow down.

Start With All Three Starting Pokemon

Requires:2 linkable game boy systems,2 pokemon games(any color),and a game link cable NOTE:Make sure that Game Boy B takes Bulbasaur to start and then you`ll see the rest of the code below.
1.Start a new game with Game Boy A
2.Go to proff. Oak`s and get Squirtle
3.Go to nearest pokemon center and trade squirtle to game Boy B
4.Start new game with Game Boy A
5.Repeat 2-4
6.Go to proff. Oak`s and get Charmander
7.Go to nearest pokemon center and trade Charmander to Game Boy B
8.Start new game with Game Boy A
9.Repeat 6-8
10.Go to Proff Oak`s and get Bulbasaur
Game Boy B should have 2 Squirtles and 2 Charmanders,so trade one of each back to Game Boy A

Legendary Birds

There are three legendary birds in the Pokémon game. There names are Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno. Zapdos can be found at the Power Plant near Cerealun City and the Rock Tunnel. Articuno can be found in the Sea Foam Islands. Moltres can be found at the cave which you have to go pass to go to Indigo Plateau. I have to warn you that these Pokémon are not easy to catch so you better keep alot of Ultra Balls. Zapdos is a electric Pokémon. Moltres is a fire Pokémon. Articuno is a ice Pokémon.

Extra Strong Pokémon

To fight really strong Pokémon around the lvl.170+ you have to fly all the way back to Viridian City. Talk to the old man that taught you how to catch Pokémon. After talking to him and letting him teach you how to catch a Pokémon fly back to Cinnabar Island. Surf on the right side of the island where your Pokémon is half on land and half on water. You should run into Pokémon around the lvl.170 and higher.

Safari Zone Pokémon

To get Safari Zone Pokémon outside of the Safari Zone you first have to go in the safari zone. Walk around the area where you the Pokémon you want is. When your time runs out and you still haven't caught that Pokémon, fly to Cinnabar Island. Surf on the right side of the island when your Pokémon looks like it is half on land and water. You will run into Safari Zone Pokémon!!

Double Items

I suggest you use a Master Ball for this code. To get more than one Master Ball you have to have one. First go to viridian city and talk to the man that teaches you how to catch a Weedle. After letting him teach you catch a Pokémon, make the item you want to duplicate as the 6th item in your item list. Fly to Cinnabar and surf on the right side of the isalnd when you pokemon is half on land and half on water. You will run into strong Pokémon. Beat them and then check your items list. you should have duplicated the 6th item in your item's list. You should have 9 of the item you wanted to duplicate.

Getting Pikablue

First, you have to catch a Raichu and get his level at 99. Then you give him to the Daycare Person.
Come back in an hour and you should have a Pikablue.

Getting a pokemon called M'

This MIGHT mess up your saved game or battle screen. Im not positive though, and i don't think it will. I'm not responsible for any messed up games on this code. This Pokémon looks like Missingno.
First talk to the guy in Viridian City and talk to the man who teaches you to catch a weedle. then just go down to SEAFOAM ISLANDS. not cinnabar, as this will result in possibly running into a missingno. you SURF on the right side of the seafoam islands so that you are half on land, half on water. make sure to catch it immediately, not battle it because you will probably faint it. It is only at Level 0.
