How to get missingno. or 'M':

BEWARE! THIS CHEAT COULD STUFF UP YOUR GAME!
First you need to talk to the guy in Veridian city who shows you how to catch a weedle.
When he asks if your in a hurry say 'no'. After he catches the weedle, fly to Fushia city and surf to Seaform islands.
Don't get off, but just surf up and down the coast so it looks like you are half on water and half on land. You will either bump into a level 80 or 134 Missing, or a 'M' at level 0.

How to get 99 of any item:

Put the item that you want to multiply in the sixth place in your items. Then talk to the guy in Veridian city that tells you how to catch a weedle. Answer 'no' to his questain and he'll show you how to catch a weedle. When he has finished fly to Fushia city and surf to Seaform Islands. Surf up and down the coast untill you bump into Missingno. Kill him or run away. Then look in your item box and you'll have a little simple with a number after it for your sixth item.

How To get tons of money:

Put your most expensive item in the sixth position in your items. Talk to the guy in Veridian City and answer 'no' to his questain. He will show you how to catch a weedle. When he's finished, Fly to fushia City and surf to seaform islands. Then surf up and down the coast untill you bump into Missingno. 'Run' away from him or kill him. Your will then have tons of your sixth item. Go to a poke-mart and sell it (press down to sell the maximum.) and now you'll have billions of cash.

Go to Fushia city and surf to Seaform Islands. Surf around on the coast of seaform Islands and after a while you will bump into pokemon that is around level 150!

How to catch safari zone pokemon outside the safari zone:

Go to the Safari zone in Fuchia City. As soon as you get into the safari zone, leave. The guy at the counter will say 'leaving early?'. Answer 'yes'. Then fly to Cinnabar Island and surf along the coast so it looks like you are half on land and half on water. You will then find safari zone pokemon that you can catch with any pokeball you like.

How to start off with Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle:

(You will need two game boys, two pokemon games and a link cable.) Start gameboy #1 with a Bulbasaur and go to a pokemon center. Trade the Bulbasaur to gameboy #2. Then gameboy #1 must start all over again with Charmander. Get to a pokemon center and trade the Charmander to gameboy #2. Gameboy #1 starts again, with Squirtle. Go to a pokemon center with gameboy #1 and trade the squirtle to gameboy #2. Now you'll have to use the cloning cheat below to get Bulbasaur and Charmander to gameboy #1 again.

How to clone pokemon:
---------------------
(You will need two gameboys, two pokemon games and a link cable.) The person who has the pokemon that you want to clone must put that pokemon in their line-up. The other person has to catch a real weak pokemon that they don't want and put it in their line-up. Next both people have to go into the Trade center and select the pokemon they want to trade (The one you are cloning and the weak, unwanted one.) Once the trade is about to finish the person who is going to get the weak pokemon must turn off their gameboy when it says waiting. When the other person's gameboy says trade completed, they must then turn off their gameboy too. when you turn them back on you will both have the strong pokemon and the weak one will be gone forever.

How to stand on top of a tree:

(THIS IS THE EASIEST CHEAT IN THE GAME!) Go and stand in front of a tree and use 'CUT', now stand where the tree used to be and save the game. turn your game off and then on again. You will be standing on top of the tree you just cut down.

Where to find Tauros:
---------------------
Go into the safari zone and head to the top of area 1. Surf on the water and go left towards area 3. When you are on land, go to the left of the screen into the center of area 3. Look around in the grass and eventually you will find a Tauros. If you have trouble catching it, after you battle it, dig out of the safari zone ( bring a pokemon who knows dig) and surf to Seafoam Islands and surf up and down the coast. You will see lots of safari zone pokemon and one of them should be a Tauros.

How to catch a Ditto easier:

When you are versing a Ditto, change pokemon right at the start and select magikarp (make sure you have one with you). The Ditto that you are versing will transform into a magikarp. After this change back to your oringinal pokemon. Get the Ditto down to low energy and it will be easier to catch.

How to turn any Pokeball into a Masterball:

When you throw any type of Pokeball, just before the Pokeball closes press 'A' or 'B'. Then when the Pokemon is inside it keep pressing 'UP' and 'B' or 'UP' and 'A'.

How to catch Articuno, Zapdos, Motres or Mewtwo without a Masterball:

When you are versing Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres or Mewtwo get them down to extremely low health and put them to sleep or paralyze them. Then use an Ultra ball. To make this even easier use the cheat above.

Where to find Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres and Mewtwo:
--------------------------------------------------
Articuno is inside the cave at Seaform Islands, you'll have to block the water and surf around. Articuno is a picture of a bird on a small island.
Zapdos is at the end of the power plant so just walk as far as you can and you'll see another bird picture.
Moltres is in Victory Road. Go down the stairs on the high ground past two pokemon trainers and go down the stairs, around the corner will be Moltres.
Mewtwo is in the Unknown Dungeon. It is hard to explain how to get to him but he is in the bottom right corner of the Unknown Dungeon.

You get free coins by walking around and pressing 'A' or you can talk to the people their and they will give you some coins to start you off. You will get about 200 free coins.

To have unlimated chances to catch rare pokemon, save your game before you verse the pokemon. Then if you loose to the pokemon you just turn off your game and turn it back on and you will be back infront of the pokemon to try again.

Unlimitted time in the Safari zone:

For water pokemon - Go to the area where the pokemon that you want to catch is and stand by the water and just keep fishing. It won't take off time because time only goes when you are moving.
For other pokemon - first save the game just inside the Safari Zone. Then walk around the Safari zone until your time runs out and if you don't find the pokemon that you wanted just turn off the game and turn it back on again and you will be back in the Safari zone to try again.

Ok before you read this code there's something you should know. This code wont work if you've ever used a Gameshark! Even if it was two games ago it wont work!!!! Ok so don't get mad at me! Because I wont be able to do it either!!!

#1 Have all 150 Pokemon without a game shark/genie!!!
#2 Beat the first 3 of the Elite 4 and save the game. Than turn the gameboy off than on.
#3 Beat Lance and your Rival and sit through the credits. After the credits go to your house.
#4 Your mom should be on the table! Go upstairs and she should be on your bed! There will also be a little Pokemon running around!
#5 She'll tell you to keep it and take good care of it as long as it doesn't come in the house again.

Boss Tactics
Here are your best bets for beating the Pokemon Gym Leaders:

Brock: Use water or grass Pokemon against this rock trainer.
Misty: Use grass pokemon or electric to defeat this gym leader.
Leiutenant Surge: use a rock or ground pokemon and he's toast.
Erika: Use fire pokemon or flight against this plant lover and shatter her dreams of fighting you again.
Sabrina: Use bug or ghost against this psychomaniac and she is a goner.
Koga: This poison pokemon lover will be deafeted easily by using psy pokemon.
Blaine: This fire trainer will use fire pokemon against you so you can use water or ice.
Final boss: Giovanni, the team rocket leader, is the final gym leader - use water, ice, plant and he's out of there (and talk to him again and he says something to you).
In the Indigo Plateu you find 5 pokemon masters. Use this pokemon lineup for a better chance of success:

Plant
Water, Plant, Flight, Ice

Celadon City Slot Tip
All of the slot machines have different odds, which change every time. Play each machine 4 times, and if it hits 2 or more, then stick with that one, because it's probably hot.

If the slow machine forces you really close to a 777 or Bar Bar Bar it will probably give you one or the other soon.

Clone Pokemon
Note: This trick requires a nother Game Boy, link cable and Pokemon game.

Trade the Pokemon to be cloned, and have the other player select a Pokemon that he or she does not care about. Trade them, and make sure the player receiving the bad Pokemon can see the other player's screen. When the Game Boy that receives the good Pokemon's displays "Waiting", get ready to shut the other Game Boy off. When the "Waiting" message disappears, turn off the Game Boy that is receiving the bad Pokemon. When the "Trade completed" message appears, turn off the remaining Game Boy. Both games will have the same good Pokemon when they are turned back on.

Note: Do not attempt this trick with any saved games you wish to keep, as it can corrupt those files if done incorrectly.

Cut Down Grassy Areas
Once you get the HM "cut", your pokemon can cut down grassy areas. Use "cut" and it will cut a two by two area. Wild Pokemon will not attack you in the area you cut.

Duplicate Items
To get 99 of any item, first put the item you want to multiply in the sixth item slot. Now use FLY and go to Viridian City. Talk to the old man almost all the way north of the town. When he asks if you are in a hurry, say no and watch him catch a weedle.

Right after that, fly to Fuchsia city. Make your way south and, when you you reach the water's edge, use SURF and make your way to Seafoam island.

When you get to seafoam island, swim up and down the beach until you run into a Pokemon called "M" (Missingno.) Once you see him, kill him or run away. DO NOT CATCH HIM! After that, you should have multiple copies of your sixth item!

Easy Level Gain
To easily gain experience, simply switch the Pokémon you want to train with the top Pokémon on your list. When you go into battle the Pokémon will pop out. You can then switch to another Pokémon. Once you win the battle the beginning Pokémon and the fighting Pokémon will both gain experience points.

Extra Damage
While fighting, select your desired attack. When it says you are going to use that attack (eg. "Venusaur used Razor Leaf"), hold down the A button until your opponent's life stops draining. If your timing was right you'll do more damage than usual.

Fight Land Creatures in Water
To fight creatures that normally live on land in water, go to the water around Cinnabar Island or Seafoam Islands (The only place you can be randomly attacked while swimming.) Swim along the shore of any island and you will fight land creatures. (You have to swim on a place where the square is half land and half water.)

Instead of fighting a set group of monsters in the water, you actually fight monsters from the last place you were. So to get safari zone monsters, you need to go to the section of the safari zone with that monster, let your time run out, then go to the coast. Using this trick I have caught Kangaskhan, Scyther, and Tauros!

Fight the Elite Four More Than Once
First collect all eaight badges. Then go through victory road. Next beat the Elite Four. After that your Pokemon will become Hall of Famors. Then the credits will show, following by your game resetting. Go back to your Continued Game. You will be back at home. Then fly back and beat them again and again. This helps your higher leveled Pokemon becaus you can still get a few thousand exp.

Get Amnesia Psyduck
Have you ever wondered how you can get the elusive Amnesia technique? Well, it's hidden deep in Pokemon Stadium for the Nintendo 64. Unlocking it will take a while, but it's definitely worth it. You have to register ALL 151 Pokemon in the Hall of Fame. Whenever you beat a tournament (or Gym Leader Castle), your six Pokemon are entered into the Hall of Fame. It doesn't matter whether you use rental Pokemon or your own, but you can't have any gaps. Once you've filled it all up, you are awarded a free Psyduck bonus Pokemon that knows the Amnesia technique. You can now upload it to your Game Boy pak and use it in your quest.

Get Mewtwo
After you have gotten all eight of your badges you need to go beat the pokemon league. The credits will roll and then the menu pops up again. DO NOT RESET THE GAME!!!! Go to Cerulean Citygo north to the brige where you faced 5 trainers before the path to Bill's house. Turn left and there will be a large area of water. Surf until you get to a cave. You will find Mewtwo in that cave.

Get MissingNo.
Warning! Catch missingno in the red version may delete your old game and prevent you from saving any other games.

To get MissingNo (a glitch) go to Cinnabar Island and go into the Pokémon Research Labratory and trade with anyone in the first room. Then leave the Lab and go to the EAST of Cinnabar Island and surf up and down on the part where the land meets the water. Eventually the battle screen will come up and the screen goes black for about 5 seconds.

Once you find him I suggest you use a Level 30 to 40 Pokemon. This is because Missing No., even at Lv. 80, has a VERY low defense rating. So get him down pretty low. Even at low he is still extremely difficult to catch. So next get a Pokemon that knows a sleep move and put him to sleep. Follow this up with a couple Ultra Balls and you should have him.

NOTE: Catching MissingNo. may cause minor glitches. Also note that if he evolves (i.e., by receiving a Rare Candy) he will turn into a Khangiskahn.
