Now that Pokemon gold/silver has been realesed in japan many of the rumors have been proven or disproven. You cannot be a boy or a girl and you cannot be a gymleader. When you start the game you set the clock according to the real time and some pokemon can only be found during the day others at night. You don't start out with charmander, bulbasaur, or squirtle. One of the ones you start out with looks like a red anteater with a fire on its back. Another one looks like a blue alligator and the other looks like a green Potato with some leaves sticking out of its head. I do not know any of there names. On the way between the first and second citys you will run into pidgeys and rattatas but you will also run into a Pokemon that looks like a flying squirle. The first gym leader has a Pidgey and a Pigeotto. Also your Items bag has four compartments. One for healing things one for pokeballs another for Tms and hms and another for other stuff. There are also two knew types evil and steel. You start in a new place with new towns west of the place you are in pokemon red and blue. You can also go to the red/blue Island after beating the game. If you have a boy and a girl of the same pokemon You can take them to this place were they can breed to lay an egg.
