This story takes place one year after the death of Sephiroth.

Introduction to the story

Probably he will always be a Turk of Shinra. Red messy hair that got many comments as a child. He didn’t care, he was a proud Turk. Proud to have that dark blue Shinra uniform that all the Turks wear. A tough Turk he has two good friends Rude and Elena. Both of them too are Turks. He knew that he was a Turk in the past and knew he was in the present but wasn’t all that sure about his future. It was going to change drastically sooner or later.

Chapter 1 Meeting Friends

Reno awoke one morning from his lonely room away from everything he thought. He forgot until he turned his head and saw a half empty Liquor bottle and remembered. He needed to ask no questions about what happened. He needed no explanation. He got up and proudly put on his Shinra uniform. He grabbed his rod and left the place. He walked outside until he saw his two friends Rude and Elena. Rude is a bald man that wears sunglasses and Elena she is just a little proud and got mad when Sephiroth killed Tseng for that was the one she liked. That was all the past though they were all looking for the future. “Where were you?” Elena asked, “You had us worried. Next time that happens you can loose your position,” she continued. “What position? I mean really we don’t work for anyone any more,” Reno responded in a sort of sarcastic way. “Just be on time next time man,” Rude said. Nor he or Elena had and answer to Reno’s question. “How can I be on time if you don’t tell me what time to be here?” Reno once again gave a sarcastic response. “Just don’t get us worried like that again!” Elena stated bossily. She was bossy it felt like to Reno that she had authority over him though he thought she really didn’t. The group of three started talking about AVALANCHE a group of nine until Sephiroth killed one of their members. But Sephiroth was dead Cloud killed him. They were now after each other. AVALANCHE versus the Turks was going to be an ultimate battle according to the Turks. Though Sephiroth, their main enemy was dead, they were still enemies.

Chapter 2 Ninja encounter

“Hey you stop,” a small seventeen year old girl shouted at the three Turks. The girl walked up to Reno. “Aren’t you one of those Turks?” she asked as innocently as possible. “Yes, I am,” Reno answered as he turned around to look at the girl as did the other Turks. “You are a member of AVALANCHE, what do you want? If you not answer right I’ll kill you with my own two hands,” Elena said very harshly. “Wait! All I want is materia no battles or confrontations with anyone,” the girl said nervously though not too afraid of death. “Wow, a new Yuffie!” Rude stated as sarcastically as you can get. “Well I still steal materia,” Yuffie smiled and ran off. “Hey that little thing stole all of my materia,” Rude said. “Me too,” Elena whined. “There is something different about her she doesn’t want to fight us,” Reno said attempting to sound somewhat wise.

Chapter 3 Confusion

Later that day Reno walked around on his own time in the small town of Wuati. He wondered if AVALANCHE really wanted to hurt the Turks or want revenge on them. These were two questions Reno wanted to answer. He hoped not, so maybe he would seem like the smart one in the group or avoiding being beaten once again. He walked around wondering until he saw a dark man. He didn’t know who he was but recognized the back. He walked until saw the front of the man then approached him. For now he knew who it was, Vincent a former Turk ashamed of his past. He slept in a coffin for his punishment to himself because he couldn’t stop Hojo. He is now a member of AVALANCHE and joined for revenge on Hojo, a creepy Shinra scientist and the father of Sephiroth, which he eventually got. That was no longer his business and Reno knew this and walked over to him. “What do you want Turk?” Vincent asked very harshly, sounding unkind and unaware of people and like he really didn’t care. “I don’t want anything from you I want to talk to Cloud, where is the group?” Reno asked and answered. “Will you hurt them?” Vincent asked and this time he sounded like he cares. “No,” Reno calmly answered. “Well then, they are all at the store except me and Cait Sith he ran off somewhere,” Vincent answered still kind of worried.
“ Thank you I promise I won’t hurt them,” Reno responded then walked off. Vincent had a weird look on his face wondering why he even cared. “Oh yeah don’t worry they won’t hurt you,” Vincent shouted to the walking away Reno. “Thanks,” Reno said and that’s how the conversation ended. Reno knew AVALANCHE wasn’t going to hurt them but he was still worried. He realized that beyond all this wondering he forgot where he was, right in front of the store. He walked in and nothing happened just what he had truly hoped for. He recognized the spikey hair and walked over to this kind of short man and saw his face. “Excuse me you are Cloud aren’t you?” Reno asked. He knew it was Cloud but he didn’t know how to start a conversation with a former enemy. “Yes and you are…”Cloud said as he looked over the body of Reno, “oh yeah you’re Reno that Turk,” he finished. Cloud mainly recognized the hair I mean who couldn’t. Yuffie ran over to Cloud. “I told you so, but no you didn’t believe me when I said they were…” Yuffie would have said more but he pushed Yuffie into the side of the store and she hit a shelf with materia on it. Materia fell onto Yuffie’s head. “Shut up Yuffie!” Cloud exclaimed to her. She sourly got up, the usual way, and stomped off. “I just wanted to…” Reno said but he stopped for he knew Cloud was going to speak. “No, I don’t want to battle. I don’t want anymore battles…”Cloud said to Reno though he knew that. “I guess I figured that out,” Reno said as he walked off to meet his friends at the restaurant.

Chapter 4 Disbelief

“I have some important news you guys,” Reno said as he ran into Rude and Elena. “What?!” Rude and Elena quickly asked. “AVALANCHE doesn’t want to fight anymore, Yuffie, Vincent, and Cloud himself told me,” Reno said. “Hey you fool you got us worked up over nothing!” Rude exclaimed. Elena didn’t say anything she just slapped Reno across the face several times until he shocked her with his spear rod. “Okay I’ll stop just stop shocking me,” Elena said. They both stopped. “I don’t know if they really want to fight. I will find out no matter what it takes,” Reno said as he left. As soon as he was out of the place he whispered to himself, “Even if I have to quit Turks, because they don’t believe me.” “What’s with him?” Elena asked Rude. “Don’t know,” was Rude’s answer.

Chapter 5 Denying friends
Reno knew he wasn’t going to take it to that extreme. Though his friends trusted him before they didn’t want to now or show the slightest interest in it. He knew he had to quit the Turks. Denying his own friends would be hard but he has to do what he has to do. He would report to AVALANCHE headquarters though he didn’t know where that was but remembering where Yuffie lives he went straight there. As soon as he walked in the door everyone became alert. They wondered ‘Why would a Turk be here?’ unsure Cloud the designated leader waked over to Reno in confusion. “Why are you here, a Turk who wants to be your enemy?” Cloud asked. “I don’t want to fight you I’m practicing being a pacifist,” Reno said with caution. “Heh, heh nice one Reno we know you want to fight,” Yuffie said with complete delight. “But you have to accept me, I the only one who believes you don’t want to fight,” Reno said, “I tried telling Rude and Elena but they just pushed me aside,” he continued. Reno sounded disappointed in his friends they were supposed to trust him but, no they didn’t. “How sad,” Yuffie said and at this point being smart. Not one you’d want to talk to while in a though situation. “Yuffie be quiet,” Cloud said as he once again pushed her aside. “Anyway I just want you to except me…” Reno said sounding sad. He WAS sad, well more disappointed in his friends rather then sad. “Well...”Cloud hesitated this could be a decision of a life time he had to make the right choice then he continued, “okay but no more stupid pranks,” Cloud said it and he hoped he didn’t blow it for the final time in his life. “Cloud…I thank you for making the right choice. Pranks what pranks? I didn’t hear about any pranks. Those lousy good for nothing Turks I used to call friends,” Reno said with a bit of anger. “Now, now Reno we don’t want to hurt them remember we want Reeve,” Tifa said attempting to calm him down. “Yeah he ran off with the Cat in the Hat,” Yuffie said with an attempt to be funny. “Yuffie, you need some new jokes,” Vincent said with delight. He enjoyed torturing her as much as she enjoyed torturing him. It was like a hobby. They never really liked each other and to everyone else Yuffie was like a little sister that they never had. “Or a new group of friends,” Yuffie said attempting another joke. “Yeah we were only nice to you because we needed another body,” Vincent said once again putting her down. “What the…?” that was Yuffie’s lousy response as she did the usual and stomped off. Anyway Reno was glad to have joined the group of friends hoping they would too befriend him and trust him as the Turks used to.

Chapter 6 “Should I betray my old friends?”

Reno walked over to Tifa hoping to start making friends and he should be glad he did. “Yeah, Reno why did decide to join us?” Tifa asked. She asked the question everyone else wanted to be answered. “To I guess make new friends they were being crummy to me, I needed friends who trusted me,” Reno said a little more up. “Well are you spying on us…Cait Sith did and it didn’t work,” Tifa said. “No, no, no…no spying or nothing. I won’t dare tell them I joined you…I will almost be spying on them…” Reno said. He would do that. He’d betray his own friends, well no longer friends but enemies no wait Reeve was his enemy no more Turks, well he would betray his old friends it would be hard they no longer trusted him. “You okay?” Tifa asked Reno and gave him a warm smile. “Yeah…I think one more question,” Reno said.
“That is…”Tifa said. “Should I betray my old friends?” Reno once again posed a question. That is when Cid walked over to them. “Betray your friends, yes those suckers don’t know what’s coming to them. Yes you should they didn’t trust you awhile ago and never will,” Cid said with a slight snicker. He didn’t care about Reno he didn’t think about him as a friend, but still as an enemy this was all soon going to change.

Chapter 7 Encounter

They had all been asleep and had waken up. They were taking a tour around Wutai. Yuffie was giving a boring speech about Wuati and though it may not seem possible everyone almost fell asleep standing up because they had heard it a million times, except Reno. He didn’t come, he didn’t want his “friends” to know he was in AVALANCHE so in his free time he would be with AVALANCHE and the rest of the time with the enemy Turks . He was with the Turks and keeping his promise NEVER TELL THEM ABOUT HOW HE JOINED AVALANCHE. That was a promise he’d never forget, AVALANCHE wouldn’t let him. He was walking around Wutai with Rude and Elena, when they met up with AVALANCHE they threatened to battle them but AVALANCHE refused to and ran off before they could. Reno was relieved but didn’t show it, Elena was disappointed and so was Rude they were indeed. Later that day after Turk “hours” he walked over to Yuffie’s hiding spot where he met everyone else they were informed that Reeve was and town and that Cait Sith had joined up with him. Yipes! One more enemy then expected. This wouldn’t be that hard …they all hoped. Reeve was never really wanting to fight them but since he took Cait back they wanted to kill him, really. They walked to the Temple where they got Yuffie to take them upstairs…this only worked since she was the daughter of Godo the ruler of the city. Godo was dead though, Yuffie took charge of Wutai but less people feared her like they used to…they just laughed at this young seventeen year-old powerful but unruly leader. They dare not tell her their thoughts though. Well they got to the top where they found Cait but no Reeve. They had to battle Cait to get anything out of him and they did and won. Cait told them to a place just outside of Wuati and that is where they went.

Chapter 7 Final Battle

The headed out of Wutai and crossed the bridge. There the found Reeve just below the bridge. He wasn’t down. They spied for awhile. They saw him laughing. Laughing he saw things by him dead bodies. One was Rude and this hit Reno hard. He couldn’t stand this anymore but Cloud held him back. He almost broke free when Barret helped him. Reno stopped for he knew if he went out there he would end up like that. That’s when he saw Elena one he saved before but never again he thought. When he saw Corneo. “That tub of lard survived the fall he must have bounced,” Yuffie said quietly with a slight laugh. That’s when they heard them. “I will kill her now that her friends aren’t here to save her,” the fat lard-ball Corneo said with a laugh. They talked again. “Reno you go out there, he still trusts you. Then you deal with Corneo we’ll get Reeve. Reno went out and dealt with Corneo he cast pyramid which he couldn’t get out of and then Reno killed him. The others were dealing with Reeve a harder battle. Reno joined them and with his help they killed him. Elena didn’t know what to do at first but then in shock she walked to Reno. “You saved me, I believe you they don’t want us, do they?” Elena said weakly and frightened. “Yes no more battles, no more,” Reno said with a smile. “Can I join you guys I have no one else,” Elena said. “Sure,” Yuffie said and that was the first good thing she said. They all got together and well lets say no more battles with them and the new and larger AVALANCHE was happy now and forever.
