Cloud- A 21 year old X-SOLDIER and one of Tifa’s old friends. He is from Nebelhim and once worked with Sephiroth. One day Sephiroth went mad. He was a friend of Zack, Aeris’s boyfriend, whom he met in SOLDIER. Tifa, Zack, and Cloud formed a threesome. Cloud can be really mean or nice depending on how you play. If you are nice you can get things in return if not you won’t. He joins AVALANCHE and destroys reactors. He is obviously one of the most powerful characters in attacks and magic. I like Cloud he is a useful character though you may think he can be really mean he changes.

Tifa- An old friend of Cloud’s whom you find in Midgar. She is a 20-year old who owns a bar which is also the AVALANCHE hideout. Against Cloud she joins them to fight of Shinra Inc. and soon she finds out Sephiroth too. She was friends with Cloud and Zack in her past. Sephiroth killed her father with his sword and nearly killed her too. Cloud helped her though he thought she was a goner. I guess you are lucky of that too. I like Tifa though I don’t use her much. Tifa is a strong fighter if you work her up. She is also pretty good with magic.

Aeris- Aeris is the daughter of Professor Gast and Infalna an Ancient. She now has Elmyra as her mom though. She had a boyfriend named Zack who left for SOLDIER and never saw him again. You find her selling flowers in the slums. People call her the only bright part of the area. You find her in a Church. That is where she is. Hojo is after her and once tried to breed her with Red XIII. At the end of Disc 1 Sephiroth kills her then leaves after awhile talking with Cloud. Aeris is pretty good with magic but her normal attacks are weak. If you use her a lot she will get stronger.

Barret- He had a child hood friend named Dyne. This friendship lasted a long time. He was affected by Shinra because they burnt down his home town. Scarlet’s men came and tried to kill him and Dyne. Dyne almost fell of the cliff but Barret grabbed him. This was before he had a gun arm. Scarlet’s men came along and shoot Barret’s arm causing him to drop Dyne. Barret took the liberty of taking care of Dyne’s little daughter, Marlene. At the doctor’s when he had his arm replaced with a gun since he found out it was useless, he heard from the doctor that another guy had the same surgery. Later Barret started AVALACHE to save the planet. He really isn’t that powerful even with magic. He is my least favorite character so I don’t use him.

Yuffie- She is a 16-year old ninja or materia hunter. She was brought up in Wutai. She had a twin brother but when they were both 3 they were in an accident when her brother died. She was now an only child. Yuffie was unruly and wild and knew she could get whatever she wanted. Because of her age she is somewhat of a spoiled brat and loves materia. Her physical attacks are pretty powerful but she is better with magic. Yuffie is my favorite female character so she has most of my powerful stuff.

Cait Sith- You find him at the Gold Saucer telling fortunes. You tell him to tell your fortune. He follows you to supposedly find out what your fortune is. He is a Spy from Shinra and is controlled by Reeve who was originally against it. After awhile he turns his back on Shinra and begins to spy on Shinra. Cait Sith isn’t my favorite character so I don’t use him.

Vincent- He is found in Nebelhim sleeping in a coffin which he calls eternal punishment. He used to be a Turk that was to guard two scientists one named Hojo and the other Lucrecia. He fell in love with Lucrecia and one night he proposed to her but she ran off crying. Later he saw her and Hojo kissing he walked off saying “As long as she is happy, it’s okay by me.” He later found out that she was going to have a baby. Inside he was sad but congratulated her anyway. One day he found her crying, he asked her what was wrong and she told him that Hojo was going to put JENOVA cells into the unborn baby. He went to talk to Hojo but before he could react Hojo shoot him in the chest. While he was out of it Hojo did experiments on him which is why he can turn into monsters for his limit breaks. I think Vincent is the one of the most powerful allies you get. He is best with magic.

Red XIII: Red XIII is from Cosmo Canyon and his grandfather was a human. He was brought up to be strong like his father. Once Hojo tried to breed him and Aeris. I find him rather useful. He is very powerful with magic and normal attacks. His limit breaks are great I use him a lot.

Cid- He was also somehow affected by Shinra. He and his father built the tiny Bronco. Later they were hired by Shinra to build the Highwind which was named after them. Later they built a space ship and Cid’s dream was about to come true to go into space. He only got a few feet off the ground for his girlfriend stopped them because she discovered something wrong. Cid was mad at her but she technically saved his life. Cid isn’t my favorite character but is an okay character. I think he runs like he is riding a unicycle.
