| Pisces, the sign of the two fishes, is the twelfth sign of the zodiac. The Piscean character is marked by a natural quirkiness and this is symbolized by the fish swimming in opposite directions. The two fishes that symbolize this sign are connected by a cord held in their mouths and are always portrayed swimming in opposite directions. They suggest a strong characteristic of the Piscean personality; Pisceans often decide on one course of action and then take precisely the opposite course.
