| Kari Sees the Darkness & the Light By Diddy Saffron Note: Told in 1st Person Narrative ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ We had just arrived in the digital world... My older brother, Tai, had decided to come with us. We scanned around the digital world for any signs of the final destiny stone, Blackwargreymon, or Arukenimon & Mummymon. Our leader, a 12 year old Tai and Ken wannabe named Davis Motomiya seemed to be looking for something else. He seemed to be looking for his DNA digivolving partner, a lonely, but very kind, down-to-earth boy named Ken Ichijouji. But Ken never showed. So just to get Davis moving, I said, "I'm bored, let's go." Davis, being the usual idiotic weirdo that he is then said, "Well if Kari wants to get moving, then we all want to get moving!" That was when we had our first sign of trouble. Arukenimon & Mummymon were in the area in their jeep... We had then noticed a weird thing, wrapped up in bandage strips in the back of the jeep... I then sent Gatomon to investigate. When she came back, she had Wormmon in her mouth. Wormmon, after Gatomon dropped him said to us, "Oh Kari, Gatomon, It's u... Where's Davis?" Davis just then came running over to see what we found. When he saw Wormmon, he asked him right off the bat, "Wormmon, Where's Ken?" Wormmon looked all depressed, but by the look on his face, he knew he had to tell us what had happened. "Well, when Ken got home from school, we came here when we saw Arukenimon and Mummymon. We decided to run just to fall into a trap set by them. Then Gatomon found me and brought me here and that's all I remember." I had felt so sorry for Wormmon. "Don't worry Wormmon, we'll find Ken and make sure we get him back safe & sound." The little larvae digimon's eyes at that moment started tearing up, "Ken is my best human friend and it's our job to get him back!" "Don't worry Wormmon, we'll save Ken." I had noticed fort once in my life that Davis was sympathetic to others feelings after all. Then the others came in running telling us that Arukenimon and Mummymon were in our area. "Let's go guys!" "We're with u on that Davis" We followed the jeep up a mountain. When the jeep stopped, Mummymon reached into the jeep and pulled out the weird thing wrapped up in bandages. When the bundle started struggling, we started to worry. When Mummymon handed Arukemimon the person's D-3 and D-terminal, we figured out who it was. "Ken!!! Arukenimon, let him go!!!",Davis yelled. "Uh uh uh, one more step and I will make sure Kenny-boy here suffers." "Sticky net." Wormmon made contact with the D-3 and D-terminal and we got a hold of them. "V-headbutt!" V-mon made contact with Arukenimon and knocked Ken out of that creepy ladies arms. That gave us time to untie Ken out of that bundle. "Thanks Guys!" "No problem Ken" Just then, I had felt like the dark ocean was trying to get to me again. Ken was fine but I wasn't. I was blacking out. Last thing I remember was Ken asking me, "Kari,are u alright." I had then blacked out & Collapsed. Next moment, I had felt like I was at that creepy black ocean again. On the other hand, everyone was trying to wake me up. I had felt like this time I was a lost cause to the dark ocean. I had then saw a white light. I had wondered what it was. I later figured it out that it was the light of my crest. Eerie but true. I had then felt like I had the power to fight the darkness. "I'm the digidestined of light. I've seen the darkness and became afraid but now I have seen the light and it has strengthned me. U may be the darkness, but I'm Kari Kimiya!" At that moment, the Dark Ocean dissappeared and I woke up. TK was the first to ask me, "Kari are u alright?" I thought next was Davis but to my shock, it was Ken,"Kari r u ok. I started to worry when u started screaming." Then everyone asked me if I was ok. I said "Yes, I'm alright now" We then took the digigate home. When we got back to our world, we landed in my room. Ken than told us, "Well guys,I have to catch my bus back to Tomachi." So we all said our goodbyes to Ken. As Ken was leaving I said, "Ken,wait!" Ken turned around and I ran over to him, "Thanks Ken, for staying at my side while I was fighting the darkness." "No problem, U would've done the same for me." Right after that,to my surprise,Ken gave me a hug. Ken then said, "Well c ya." We waved to Ken as the bus to Tomachi pulled out of the bus stop. Ken was waving through the rear window along with Wormmon. I had then asked Davis, "Davis, what happened to Arkuenimon & Mummymon?" "they drove off when we defeated her okuwamon," "oh" "well let's go home" We said our goodbyes and went home.. As I was walking into the house, I had felt like between Davis,TK,and Ken ,I had feelings for Ken. I had not only helped myself,but also Ken. I then closed my eyes and had good dreams... |
