| Pokèmon Gold and Silver will be the latest additions to the Pokèmon Game Boy family. To be released in America sometime in early fall hopefully of 2000. Pokèmon Gold and Silver will contain many new things. Like a backpack, with different compartments for different things. You will also have a cell phone so that other trainers can call you and challenge you to a battle. You will also have new ways of transportation from what I hear. You can even call your mom and the new Professor to get help. And in Pokèmon Gold and Silver, you dont play as Ash any more, you are a new character, and Ash is part of the Elite 5. There will also be 151 new Pokèmon, that means 252 Pokèmon for you to catch! But the downside is that you cant trade new Pokèmon to the old games, the de-evolve into a lower form, but you can trade from older games to the new ones easily. The 3 starting Pokèmon are new too. There is an Alligator type water pokemon, a little firey porcupine looking thing, and a little plant thing, all which evolve twice. There are also many new Gym leaders in Pokèmon Gold and Silver. The first is a fire one I think, so you might want to start out with the water type Pokèmon, but that is your choice. Pokèmon Gold and Silver are already a huge hit in Japan, so they are expected to be a big hit here too! |
