The Story
Perfect Dark is set in the year 2023. You are Joanna Dark -- code-named Perfect Dark -- a female secret operative who works for the Carrington Institute. The powers that be send her on a mission to examine DataDyne, a massive multimillion dollar country that looks to have its hands in seriously suspicious business. As Joanna looks deeper and deeper into the DataDyne corporation, she discovers that the company is hiding extraterrestrial beings (cue X-Files music) of both good and bad stature. That’s right -- one of your objectives is to distinguish between the good ones and bad ones, and in some cases to save the good ones.
During her quest to find the truth, Joanna travels to Northern California to Carrington’s mansion, and dives into at least two water-based missions, including the names "Deep Sea" and "Marine." At least one of the levels takes place on an airfield, and one is called Air Force One! There are currently as many as 12 levels being worked on by the team that created the platinum-selling Goldeneye 007, and it’s certain that many more will be created. |
