WWF Smackdown SPOILERS
March 6 - Airtime

Smackdown started with Chris Benoit pinning Rikishi quickly with a Northern lights suplex. Fans were stunned to see Rikishi stay down for the move. Rikishi destroyed Benoit after the match with a Samoan drop, butt in the face, belly to belly and a banzai.

Vince & Shane McMahon came out. McMahon was mad about everything that happened the previous night with the Rock beating Shane when HHH was pinned. He yelled at Earl Hefner for making the count and vowed to punch him out if he ever pulled a stunt like that again. He yelled at Lillian Garcia for making the announcement that Rock won and told her halfway talented pretty women were a dime a dozen and he'd get rid of her. She sang "Do you know the way to San Jose" to a big pop and also the national anthem. She was very well received since the WWF programmed the crowd well to make her a babyface before Vince turned on her, and it got big-time heat. He also yelled about Jim Ross' commentary. He didn't call Ross out, which makes me think they are building to a bigger angle and maybe another firing or humiliating deal for heat. Vince said that he and Shane would face Rock in a handicap match as the main event.

Later in the show when HHH arrived, he said he wanted Rock and would put up the title, but Vince turned him down. Vince kept saying the town the show was coming from was Sacramento which didn't get as much heat as they were expecting. Vince forgot to say in his interview that HHH was still the champ so about five minutes later he & Shane came out again and he just said the line he forgot. Caryn Mawr was out doing the fitness woman gimmick and got really good heat for someone nobody in the crowd knew about. By her third time out, the crowd treated her as they did any regular, in her heel role.

Dudleys beat Test & Albert with the 3-D on Test. They teased attacking Trish Stratus but the Hardys came out and they did a pull-apart brawl.

Tazz vs. Saturn never got started as they brawled to the back throwing bad punches. Saturn live has the freakiest physique of all in a world of juiced up physiques.

Bossman & Bull Buchanan beat Al Snow & Steve Blackman when Buchanan did the legdrop off the top on Snow. Crowd didn't like it and it wasn't good.

Guerrero & Chyna did an interview until Jericho ran out. They doubled teamed him, but he made his own comeback and power bombed Guerrero until Chyna pulled Guerrero to safety. Guerrero showed tremendous heel charisma.

During the show they did a deal where Kurt Angle had a tag title shot and was asking people to be his partner. He was turned down by Esse Rios and Scotty 2 Hotty (I believe Brian Lawler is injured as he wasn't there and Scotty seemed to make a reference to them getting back together when he recovers). The stuff with Scotty was hilarious as he talked current urban slang and Angle acted like he was such a square he didn't understand his language.

Dean Malenko beat Taka Michinoku in a light heavyweight title match. Good match but the crowd wasn't into it and it'll come across bad on TV because there was a fight in the stands and all the crowd reactions were to the fight.

Big Show beat Godfather when one of the ho's distracted the ref and Show, who came out dressed like the world's largest and goofiest looking pimp, hit Godfather with his walking stick. The ho, who was far more beautiful live than any women in the WWF (in fact live, because they've all had so much facial surgery done, they look like those fake Hollywood faces as opposed to real people) and had gigantic implants that make Chyna's and Sable's look proportionate in comparison, went with Show and she's going to be a regular.

Christian & Edge beat Angle & Bob Holly when Holly was pinned after a stacked up superplex. Good old style tag team match. It won't come across great on TV because the fans were more into a whole bunch of beach balls being batted around and they were booing when security was trying to take them since it was hurting the TV presentation. Angle started blaming Holly for the loss so Holly slapped him and pounded on him, leaving him laying.

Earlier in the show Stephanie buttered up Vince so Road Dogg & X-Pac got the match with Rock. HHH came out as ref and played heel ref. Match went 6:00. Rock hit the Rock bottom on Doggie but HHH was somewhere else. Hebner came out to make the count but Vince followed him and decked him. Rock then chased Vince to the back and decked him and left. He came back with a chair and laid out Vince, HHH, Dogg and X-Pac with chair shots as the show went off the air. Overall a tremendous live presentation. There were several fights in the stands. No major news or surprises. Every star got a good reaction but nobody was anywhere close to Rock's league.
