Smackdown opens up with Vince and Stephanie McMahon coming to the ring. Vince gets on the mic and says he has a confession to make - contray to popular opinion he is not a role model. Stephanie gets on the mic and says she is who she is because of Vince. Stephanie says Vince taught her how to find the weakness in people. Stephanie says she loves her mom but she is not the right person for the job, her father Vince is. Stephanie says she disagrees with Vince, he is a role model. Stephanie says that Foley never checked to see if Triple H was ok after Austin dropping him in the car, to see if he would be able to compete in the hell in the cell match. Vince gets back on the mic and wishes everyone happy holidays. Stephanie and Vince leave.

Vince and Stephanie are shown outside. Vince tells Stephanie it is time for her to go home and take care of...Triple H. Stephanie gets in the limo and leaves. Trish Stratus approcahes Vince and asks if Jackie can get a title shot against Ivory tonight. Vince agrees and they walk back in the building together arm in arm.

Dudley Boys vs Lo Down w/ Tiger Ali Singh
Tiger gets on the mic before the match and says when they come out here they demand all ouf our respect. Tiger says he finds our prejudice appaling. Tiger says if the respect does not stop they will beat it out of the inferior American athletes. Match starts off in a big brawl. Double team on Dvon. Chaz with a bulldog on Dvon. Tiger comes in and delivers a neckbreaker to Dvon, Dlo gets a two count. Dvon with a neckbreaker of his own from the second rope on Dlo. Buh Buh tagged in and backdrops Dlo. Dvon clotheslines Chazz off of Buh Buh's shoulders for a two count. Tiger hits Chaz on the outside by accident. Nutcracker suite on Dlo. 3D on Chaz for the pin. Winners: Dudley Boys

Vince is shown in the back talking to referee Tim White. White says he will be ok to work tonight. Vince says from now on referee's will be treated with respect.

Women's Championship
Jacqueline vs Ivory
Ivory gets on the mic before the match and says that she is disappointed in Jackie's behavior and she will make an example out of her tonight. Match starts off with Jackie in control. Standing dropkick by Jackie for a two count. Ivory with a suplex for a two count. Backdrop by Jackie. RTC comes out. Spinning kick tot he face by Jackie, Richards distracts the ref and Goodfather pulls Jackie off. Jackie baseball slides Goodfather in the back of the head. Ivory rolls Jackie up for the pin. After the match the Acolytes come out to make the save and clear the ring.
Winner: Ivory

Vince is shown backstage talking to Debra. Vince says he did not treat her fair. Vince offers Debra her position back but for him. Debra suggests a match - Richards vs Gunn. Vince agrees. Debra accepts Vince's offer but when he leaves she rolls her eyes.

Jerry Lawler gets a call on his cell phone at ringside from Mike and Gary from the new UPN show. They say they want to be at Smackdown next week and get cut off.

Edge, Christian, and Kurt Angle are shown arriving to the arena.

Kevin Kelly interviews The Rock. Rock says he heard that Mick Foley got fired and know they hit him in the head with 2 chair shots. Rock challenges Edge and Christian to come beat on him. Rock says he will whip both their candy asses all over Charlotte.

Vince is shown entering Austin's locker room. Vince tells Austin he has to respect authority. Vince asks Austin to be an official tonight so he can see what it's like to be a referee. Austin does not agree. Vince tells Austin he has to anyways. Vince wishes Austin a Merry Christmas and then leaves.

Dean Malenko, Chris Benoit, and Perry Saturn w/ Terri vs Chris Jericho and Hardy Boys w/ Lita. Jericho gets on the mic before the match and makes fun of the Radicalz. Match starts off in a big brawl. Hardys attempt to slam Terri (who Jericho threw in the ring) but Saturn comes in and catches her in the fall. Jeff does the swanton bomb on Malenko. Jericho with a flying forearm on Malenko. Jericho with a springboard dropkick knocks Malenko off the ring apron. Lita runs Malenko into the steps. Lionsault on Malenko for the pin.
Winners: Chris Jericho and Hardy Boys

Vince is shown backstage talking to Raven. Vince says he was impressed with his match with the Undertaker. Vince tells Raven he is getting a hardcore title shot against Blackman tonight.

Austin is shown in the back. One of the officials gives Austin a referee shirt. Austin spray paints REF 3:16 on the back of the shirt.

European Championship - Guest Referee - Steve Austin
William Regal vs Hardcore Holly
Match starts off with Holly in control. Austin starts drinking beer during the match and misses pin attempt counts. Austin goes to the announce table to watch.Clothesline by Holly followed up by a suplex for a one count. Regal bumps Austin which spills beer on him. Austin gives the stunner to Regal and Holly and starts making a 10 count. Kane comes out during the count and chokeslams Austin.
NO CONTEST

Austin is shown in the back confronting Vince saying he sent Kane out there. Vince says he did not send Kane down there. Vince tells Austin he can have Kane on Raw Christmas night.

Crash and Molly Holly vs Kaentai
Match starts off with double headscissor takeovers by the Hollys. Funaki with a belly to back on Crash. Taka dropkicks Crash in the face. Double team on Crash. Molly kicks Taka in the corner. Molly with a ddt on Funaki. Molly hits Funaki with a missile sropkick. Crash follows up with a bulldog on Funaki for the pin.
Winners: Crash and Molly Holly

Lillian Garcia interviews The Undertaker backstage. UT says if Vince stays away from him, Vince won't get hurt.

Edge, Christian, and Kurt Angle are shown in the back talking about UT's interview. Angle tells E & C if they are that worried he will see what he can do.

Hardcore Championship
Raven vs Steve Blackman
Raven dumps a trash can full of weapons in the ring to start the match. Blackman grabs his kendo stick. Raven uses a trash can lid as a shield against Blackman's kendo stick. Blackman hits Raven in the head with the trash can lid for a two count. On the outside Raven backs Blackman into the guard rail. Raven hits Blackman in the head with a crate of popcorn. Back in the ring Raven beats on Blackman with the kendo stick. Drop toe hold by Blackman on the trash can. Blackman slams Raven for a two count. Raven sprays a fire extinguisher at Blackman. Blackman kicks the trash can in Raven's face. Blackman with a ddt off the second rop on Raven on the trash can for the pin.
Winner: Steve Blackman

Vince is shown in the back talking to Kurt Angle. Angle tells Vince that E & C are concerned about their match, says that Rock and UT might cheat. Vince says he has an idea that will make certain that it will be a fair match for them.

Angle is shown in the back talking to Edge and Christian. Angle tells them that Vince guaranteed them a fair match tonight.

Billy Gunn vs Steven Richards
Match starts off with Gunn in control. Gunn punches Richards down in the corner. Clothesline by Gunn. Debra is shown in the back watching the match. Press slam by Gunn. Gunn drops Richards on his head. Powerslam by Gunn. Gunn hits the sleeper dropper for the pin.
Winner: Billy Gunn

World Tag Team Championship
Edge and Christian vs the Rock and The Undertaker
Kurt Angle comes out as the referee. Match starts off with E & C in control. UT punches Christian in the corner. UT with a big boot on Christian. Rock tagged in and double clotheslines E & C. Rock with a samoan drop on Edge for a two count. Edge with a spinning heel kick on Rock. Christian with a side russian leg sweep on Rock for a two count. Edge and Rock clothesline each other at the same time. Hot tag to UT who cleans house. UT gives the last ride powerbomb to Edge. Angle doesn't count because he is pretending to fight with Christian. Angle shoves Rock. Rock bottom on Angle. Christian low blows UT. Rock chases Christian outside the ring and slams his head against the announce table. UT chokeslams Edge but there is no Angle. Hebner comes in to make the count but Christian makes the save. UT drops Christian to the mat face first. Rock and Edge tagged in. Rock lays the smackdown on Edge. Rock ddt's Edge. UT knocks Christian out of the ring. Rock hits Edge with the spinebuster. Angle comes back in and gives the olympic slam to Rock. Angle rolls Edge on top of Rock and makes the three count.
