"...Of course drinks overflowed as business namedroppables, society hotshots and showbiz royals celebrated the first year of this great magazine (where moi am one of the columnists, dahlings). While waiting for guests to arrive, Da Capo string quartet played classy tunes, and mind you, palanggas, they played so well it was quite a feat to hold a comprehensible conversation..."

From Bach and Beethoven to Benoit and Braxton, the versatility and musical discipline of this modern chamber orchestra is excellent. They can shift from Pachelbel's Canon in D in the nuptial mass to the latest Billboard Chart love song for the first dance in the wedding reception with remarkable display of ease and musicality. Their commitment to excellence sets them apart.
1. What kind of group is the Da Capo and what is their repertoire?
Da Capo is a chamber group composed of flute, violin, guitar, and keyboard. Percussion may also be added at an extra charge of PHP 3 K (church and reception). Their repertoire is varied. Being Music school graduates, they can play any classical piece for the church ceremony and modern jazz, pop, etc. for the reception.
2. How much does your service cost?
Da Capo charges PHP 12 K for both church and reception (maximum of 3 sets of 45 minutes per set). If you decide to book both Da Capo and Magis (pls. see section on Magis) through Themes & Motifs - The Special Events Co. , the cost is PHP 30 K (savings of P2 K).
3. Can we reduce the price by reducing the numbers of musicians?
We do not recommend reduction in the number of musicians as we are basically concerned with the quality of sound that will be produced. Da Capo is definitely worth their price.
4. Can we listen to Da Capo and / or Magis before we book them for our wedding?
Definitely. We can let you know where their latest perfomances or rehearsal venues are so you can listen to them and appreciate their music.
5. Are they good?
The best way to find out is to listen to them. Rather than present you with credentials and a long list of perfomances (which the other groups do anyway), let the true test be in the actual musical experience.
