The Kapampangan Commandment
I am Kapampangan thy indigenous language, which has
given thee the ability to express thyself since thou
wert a suckling on thy mother's breast.
Thou shalt have no other languages before me.
Thou shalt not shift thy loyalty to other languages.
Thou shalt not honor those that seek to endanger my
existence. And those other languages, thou shalt not
glorify them, nor use them in lieu of me as permanent
replacement: for I, Kapampangan, thy beloved language,
am a jealous language, trying to survive as I do
amidst this ongoing neglect imposed on me by the state
and by society, while shedding grace and
enlightenment, and bringing glory unto thousands of
Pampanguenos that love me and speak me everyday.
Amen
