Gene's Father
The father of Gene Starwind only appears in “Outlaw Star” through a series of flashbacks Gene has during the run of the series. Gene’s father is tall, muscular and has black hair, (which leads us to believe that Gene receives his trademark red hair from mother). Gene’s father worked as some sort of traveling merchant, and he spent much of his time in space. On his final trip in space Gene’s father took his son along with him, until pirates attacked their ship. Gene’s father put his son in the escape pod, fearing for Gene’s life. Young Gene watched helplessly as his father was destroyed along with his ship, and the terrible experience caused Gene to fear both space travel and the Pirates.
