This is probably one of my favorite games ever released on Game Boy, with the exception to Pokémon Gold/Silver and The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening that is not DX. I don't really "like" Pokémon, I would just like to clear that up before I get tons of E-mails about it. This game is a sequal to the previos Zelda game that was released on Game Boy, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. The thing that Nintendo did was not release it on the regular Game Boy, they released it on Game Boy Color. I don't really think it is much different, besides the storyline from the game on Game Boy. I just think they released it so they could make more money on Zelda on Game Boy Color, and they needed a Zelda game on it. That may not be correct, that is just what I am assuming so don't quote me on that. This game is really worth your money for the $20.00-$30.00 that you will be speniding on it.
This game wasn't really as popular as the other Zelda games were. The reason is that probably most of the Zelda fan's already had the original Link's Awakening on Game Boy and really had no need to buy this one because the only difference is that the storyline changed a bit and the game is now in color, so they would like to save $20.00 and buy a different game. In my opinion the storyline from the old game was cooler and more interesting, so they shouldn't have really changed it at all because it would have been more successful.
Overall I would give this game a rating of an 8 on a scale between one and ten. It has alot better graphics then the original Link's Awakening, but on the original one released on Game Boy it had a better storyline, sound effects, and it was alot more fun. The main reason that I even gave it an 8 was because it had pretty cool graphics. I am still sort of glad I bought it though. |
