Title: Episode #406 - "Great Xpectations"

Despite having achieved her life's dream by gaining early acceptance to prestigious Harvard University, Andie doesn't feel elated. While many of her friends have not even begun the application process, Andie just can't seem to truly enjoy this hard-earned prize. Upon learning that an underground rave has been planned just in time for her to celebrate this monumental achievement, she hopes that a new experience might help her reignite feelings numbed by anti-depressants.

Gretchen tries to get Dawson to try something different and attend the rave, while Drue pushes Jen to go and relive her wilder days in Manhattan. It is not until Dawson learns the happy news that his parents are keeping their unborn child that he decides to join in the celebration. He's surprised but agreeable to having Pacey and Joey come along, who have also succumbed to Gretchen's lure. However, the evening doesn't go exactly as planned. Jen reveals to Andie that she did, in fact, accept Drue's "unbirthday present" offering of Ecstasy because old habits die hard.

In a desperate attempt to make the most of her evening, Andie takes a pill when Jen's not looking and proceeds to humiliate herself in front of all of her friends, particularly Pacey. The night ends on the edge of tragedy with Andie being taken away by ambulance, while Jen is mired in the depths of her guilt. Meanwhile, Joey wonders if there's more to Gretchen and Dawson's relationship than meets the eye, and Dawson confides in Joey about the Leery family addition.
