Mets Get Reed Again For Another Year

Rick reed has signed a 1-year, $4,375,000 deal with the Mets. Reed was with the Mets last year, and was 11-5 with a 4.58 ERA. Phillips is impressed with Reed, he says Rick has been one of their most consistent starters for the past 3 years, and indeed he is. Over the past 3 years with the Mets, Reed is 40-25. Reed this year will be the mets #3 starter, in back of #1 Mike Hampton and #2 Al Leiter. I am very happy about his re-signing of Reed, he is a very good pitcher and the Mets need him, so this is a very good thing for the Mets. Its still undecided yet who is going to be the #4 and #5 starters for the Mets. It can be #4-Bobby J. Jones, and #5- Bobby M. Jones, or the #5 starter can be Glendon Rusch or Pat Mahomes. So that is decided yet, but the top 3 is-Hampton, Leiter, and Reed. I'll keep you posted.
